Great repeat stay”
Our second stay here and still as good as the first time. Great location almost on the beach. Little strip of restaurants adjacent and the hotel has a shuttle service into the town for more choice. Pool is fabulous with ample numbers of sunbeds. A gym/fitness room would make the leisure facilities even better though! Rooms are well equipped and both fittings and cleanliness are of a high standard. The staff are the hotel's greatest asset, especially the restaurant and housekeeping teams. Highly recommended.
Great hotel with large sea view rooms and good breakfast”
We really loved our stay at the Orchid Beach Resort in Khao Lak. This hotel isn't brand new anymore, but aged very well, has a certain charm, and feels well-maintained. We extended our stay multiple times and spent a total of almost three weeks here. All staff is friendly and many probably work there for quite some time - it feels like a great team. One of their biggest pros is that you'll get almost certainly a room with a sea view - something you often have to pay extra at other resorts. The rooms are large and comfy, with a nice balcony. Many lamps and power outlets, also very good for studying or working. They have not only a large main pool but also an additional square pool that is good for swimming and often empty. Many sunbeds are available, too. We loved their breakfast buffet with egg station, changing hot dishes, and very friendly staff. We especially appreciated that you could eat fresh mangos every morning, something that is not seen often at breakfast buffets in this price category (most hotels only have cheap fruits like papaya and watermelon). The location is pretty nice - you can have long beach walks in two directions every day. There are several small restaurants nearby that all offer more or less the same dishes. You can easily rent basic scooters from the reception or get better scooters from motorbike rental companies in the city. WiFi is pretty good and stable. If you have your own SIM card, there's 5G reception. Most of the guests are German and a bit older. It felt like many of them are frequent customers.
Can’t go wrong at the room rates”
Lovely hotel with good room rates.set in a very quiet area. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and have some lovely staff.it has its own restaurant called verve69 with decent food to order and no more expensive than outside. The only downside is the morning breakfast which has a limited choice and gets a bit repetitive.
Best Christmas Get Away! ”
Khaolak Orchid Beach Resort is just....trully wonderful, beautiful and ...all just so nice and comfortable. The staff is so friendly and warmth. So much smile and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic! As well as all in the menu. The beach is lovely and clean! So nice ....and peaceful. Although in this difficult time now, but it is not stopping us to enjoy our holiday season. We're really enjoyed ourselves. Last but not least, the hotel gave us a surprise on our Christmas Eve! Little presents from Santa! 🎁 Thank you Orchid Beach Resort!! Definitely will be coming back. Very large room with 6ft bed ,sofa and table,additional chair and large stool,kettle tea and coffee and a good size fridge.Separate bath and shower,very good.Very good air con and nice balcony overlooking the very large pool,garden and beach,which is really nice.Three restaurants within a hundred yards a massage and mini mart and nothing else,very quiet.Ate at the hotel 3 out of the 7 nights.Decent breakfast buffet but a cook to do 2 eggs anyway you want.It was difficult to fault,if anything the wifi was liable to disconnect but you could get back on straight away,seemed a little strange.We will return to Khaolak and this hotel.I believe its closing for may and june for some re decoration.
