Bùi Viện drink till morning”
On a warm Saigon night, Bui Vien Street came alive with its usual chaotic energy—neon lights flashing, the hum of motorbikes in the distance, and the constant rhythm of music pouring out from every corner bar. This street, famous for its backpackers and nightlife, felt like the heartbeat of Ho Chi Minh City, and it pulsed louder after dark. I found myself at a small open-air bar, the kind with low stools spilling out onto the street. A cold bottle of Saigon beer in hand, I watched as the world passed by—locals, travelers, and the occasional street vendor offering everything from trinkets to bowls of steaming pho. The beer was crisp, the perfect remedy for the lingering heat. Around me, the night was just beginning for a group of young, carefree girls, laughing as they danced in the open space between the tables. Their carefree spirit was infectious. Some wore colorful summer dresses, others in casual shorts and t-shirts, all of them radiant under the soft glow of the street lights. Their laughter was a part of the music, mingling with the sounds of guitars and bass beats from the nearby bars. One of them caught my eye, a girl with short dark hair and a mischievous smile. She glanced my way, and before I knew it, she had waved me over. “Join us!” she called out, her voice rising above the noise. I hesitated for a second, but then shrugged—why not? This was Bui Vien, after all. The street where strangers became friends in an instant. The group was warm and lively, all of them full of stories about travels, dreams, and late-night adventures. We shared drinks, clinking our bottles together, and laughed over nothing and everything. The conversations flowed as easily as the beer, and as the night stretched on, the music seemed to grow softer, almost like the world outside Bui Vien was fading away. At some point, we wandered further down the street, looking for something to eat. The night had taken on a dreamlike quality, where time felt irrelevant. We found ourselves at a small food cart serving grilled skewers and fried rice, eating with our hands and laughing at the simple joy of it all. Morning crept up on us without warning. The once-crowded street had quieted, though Bui Vien never truly slept. The girls, still bright-eyed despite the hour, decided to head to the river to watch the sunrise. So, we walked—together, carefree, like we’d known each other forever. We sat by the water, the sky lightening from deep blue to soft orange. I looked around at these new friends, these girls whose laughter had turned an ordinary night into something unforgettable. It was a moment suspended in time—Saigon at dawn, the beer, the music, the stories, and the feeling of being young and free, with nowhere to be but here.
Birthday at this motel ”
Hi all I've been staying in cheaper accommodation in Area 2 in Siagon usually under $30 AUD but on my birthday I oppted for a classier motel with a excellent self serve buffet breakfast. I'm from Australia & just love everything about Siagon & it's people as they are extra friendly to a old solo traveller, google translator they are all masters at it. Had a great day/night , the room was clean with a extra large bathroom & the bed was also excellent with plenty of room for two people..
Excellent Location ”
The location was excellent, providing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Very near to walking street. The staff were helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable. Overall, it was a good value for money. Recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient location.
