Great guest house & location”
Booked this hotel based on the location and ease of access to a tube station. 5 min walk from Bayswater station which takes you straight into the heart of the West End - landed us at Charring Cross which was a stone's throw from the Playhouse theatre. Basic room but clean, quiet, comfortable in a safe location with excellent access to shops, bars and restaurants. Can't complain for the price - very cheap for anywhere, let alone London! Would recommend and use again :)

Good bits bed comfortable I had a double room the bed was against the wall on one side so if my wife had come and you had to get up in the middle of the night you have to climb over the person you were sharing with. The bathroom was small, in my first room then shower leaked when I turned it of and wouldn't stop leaking. They moved me to a different room.late at night as my bathroom floor was flooded and I couldn't sleep with the constant dripping The second room was the same in this room the shower cubicle was missing on door. ( better than first room which had no doors. The breakfast was exceedingly average. I would have been better at Macdonald's. The location of the hotel is good.

Very pleasant, and welcoming staff. Comfortable beds, and clean linen. The ensuite bathroom had a rather tired appearance - the shower door seal was partly dislodged, the toilet seat was loose, the extractor fan didn't work, and there was a bulb missing in one of the ceiling spotlights. There was also a bulb missing in one of the bedside lamps. There was only 1 single socket at each bedside, which was occupied by the bedside lamp. The socket on my side seemed defective, as it wouldn't accept my phone charging plug. All device charging had to be done at the tea/coffee table, which meant we couldn't use our phones whilst they were charging. The continental breakfast was rather minimalist: two types of sliced cheese, two types of processed meat slices, boiled eggs, plain yoghurt, 3 types of cereal, Croissants, toasting bread, two types of bread roll, one of which was so hard that it couldn't be cut to butter it. On the second morning there were only hard rolls available, so I had to bypass the continental choice and opt for cereals. On arrival, the hotel took a token payment of £1. I'm not sure why, because there is nothing to charge to the room. There is no bar, and no mini bar, so nothing to spend your money on. Locally, there is a good choice of decent pubs and eateries, for your evening meal. If you're looking for cheap and cheerful, with no frills, and a bit of 'character', reasonably close to the tube, and access all areas London, then you won't be disappointed.
