Absolute the best in Maldives”
We just had our memorable & amazing stay at Nika Island Resort. Elena the host was super friendly & attentive to our needs & had arranged all the family activities seamlessly 👍🏾 She is very kind & cheerful and had been very caring throughout our stay. The food in the resort was really fresh 😋 with great variety of choices & the menu was amazing. Resort was relatively smaller but that was the best part as moving around was convenient & our stay was very much personalised with personal care 👍🏾 Family activies were awesome & Nika Island Resort had all them all such Diving, Manta Excursion, Whaleshark Hunting, Sunset Fishing, Snorkeling Safari and many more. Hassan was on board as the guide & he can spot Mantas far far away ! He brought us great memories & experience and always very attentive to the guests especially those with children ☺️ Overall an absolute 5 star stay and highly recommended for family with children. Nika has it all 🫰🏽
Special little island”
Nika is very different from other Islands because if you opt for a Beach Villa or Deluxe Beach Villa, you get your own little secluded beach. Its privately owned by an Italian family, and members of the family are often on the island. Maybe that is why everything is so nicely manicured. They have a great bar and every building looks authentic - built from dead coral pieces that the ocean brought ashore (this building technique is not permitted anymore but the buildings were made in the 80’s - but they are perfectly maintained). I would definitely opt for a beach villa here (especially a deluxe one), those are the special ones, water villas are more similar to other resorts. One thing to watch out for: when you book make sure your villa is far from the generator of the island, because its a small island and it cab get noisy. The coral reef around the island is amazing and large, and it alredy started to regrow - they say you cant see colorful coral anymore in the Maldives, but here you can see some while snorkeling (not all of it is live coral, but at least you see colorful patches). That alone makes this island very special. You can combine your stay with Gangehi for some extra solitude & variety, that resort is just 10 mins away with a speedboat.
Amazing stay!”
We stayed in Nika Island Resort for a week in November 2020. Our stay was absolutely amazing. We booked an over-water villa and it was exactly as we were hoping for it to be. The whole island is incredible. The staff, the food, and all the services and activities they provide are beyond great. Even though we were a bit skeptical whether we might get bored on the island, especially as it was not possible to visit any other island due to coronavirus restrictions, but we had the best time ever just relaxing and diving (diving instructors at Nika are the best!) and swimming. Nika has absolutely stunning house reef, so we were just snorkeling literally whole days. It is one of the best places I have stayed - and I have traveled quite a lot. It´s the place I definitely want to return to. Highly recommended.
The dream island resort”
Nika island resort is a place like no other. The beauty of the island itself is matched only by the amazing sea life that lives around its incredible coral reef. The hotel has a wonderful policy of having its own time zone which means that you make the most of daylight. The staff are friendly and the hotel has a lot of very good taste when it ckmes to the gardens, decoration and the different types of rooms. The bad: like in many other island resorts, you will be forced to go half/full board as you will rely on the resort for everything. It gives the feeling that they make you pay for absolutely everything, including water. Although we understand the challenges of producing your own water and all that it does
One of its kind”
The amazing: fantastic place to stay with an incredible coral reef and wonderfully preserved gardens, including some areas that seem to have been kept wild and green. This went over and beyond our expectations and my partner and I came back for a second stay at this very unique and special island. It was worth every penny. The bad: however, the hotel makes you rely on them for everything and pay for absolutely everything, including water. Although we understand the challenges of the resort producing their own water it does not give a good impression for a resort of this category to be charging even for water even when you go half board. Overall however Nika Island is a fantastic place that will always have a very special place in our hearts.
