It's alright just to let the night pass”
The accommodation is okay if you are just looking for some place to crash to spend a night. But I would not recommend it for a longer stay unless you travel as a group. I was in a mixed dorm and there were a lot of big guys who snore loudly. Yeah, I really meant guy"S" because there are at least three or four in our room who did. But thankfully I was too tired that I sleep peacefully though.

I was hesitant to book this place after reading some of the reviews, however after trying this place out, I'd say it's not a bad place to stay if you're here for one or two nights and looking to save some money. The place looks like it's been in operation for al long time and may have had a group of vikings staying over recently. However, if you just want a simple bed (I stayed in the dorm style rooms) and a place to shower, then this place could accommodate you. You want a more up-keep place, you should consider another. What made the difference however is the really kind receptionist. She had a positive attitude and a smile each time. The rooms and bathroom were functional. Sometimes they ran out of tissue paper. They're able to watch your luaggage before check in and after check out. I'd say 4 stars, factoring in the value for your money and the convenient location.

I go up to Taipei quite frequently and have stayed at many hostels around Taipei Main. This was, by far, my most uncomfortable hostel experience yet. Firstly, the sleeping space is small and cramped, even for hostel standards. There is no privacy curtain. There are no toiletries (towel, slippers, toothbrush, etc.) despite it being included in the amenities!!! They give you sheets, but you need to put everything on yourself. The sheets I got also had many holes and rips in them. Regarding shared spaces, the bathrooms were not very clean. There was no toilet paper in most of the stalls. The common space in the lobby was small, but the space felt unusable due to people leaving their luggage anywhere and everywhere. Overall: the location is great (next to exit 8 of Taipei Main), but that is literally the only positive. Yes it is cheap, but you can find comparable prices at other hostels that are significantly more comfortable to stay in. Do yourself a favor and look to stay somewhere else.

Pros: Great location, budget-friendly, staffs willing to help. Cons: - Toilet, bathroom and dining area are really unclean. Bathrooms have no door, no lock. Just a curtain. Toiletries not refill. No hanger in shower room. It’s worse than your school dorms’ toilet. - A/C is central-controlled, but it’s badly designed so the first few rooms are very cold but the last few rooms are really stuffy. - Stuffs are dated but and not well maintained. They don’t fix things when it broke. They only fix it after customer asked. - Have to do your own bed. Room has weird smell. No place to put your phone or small belongings. - Wifi not very good. Conclusion: Cheap but not worth it. Do yourself a favour, you deserve better than this place.
