I cannot speak highly enough about this incredible resort”
My wife and I originally booked 5 days here and ended up staying for nearly two weeks. A lot of travelers come through here just for a day or two as part of a tour group and miss out on the incredible, relaxing area that is Chiang Rai. Even though we only booked a basic room the staff upgraded us to an incredible cabin on a small pond, and were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The swimming pool is amazing. Definitely helpful to rent a motorbike or car as this hotel is a bit far from the city center. I would give six stars if I could, thanks Phowadol!

Beyond expectation”
I stayed on superior bungalow. It’s very nice and clean. All facilities are good enough for me. Nice staff and delicious meals both breakfast and dinner. If I go to Chiang Rai again, I will stay here as well.

Beautiful hotel just to the north of chang rai. Staff were brilliant and helpful rooms are five star and the grounds are gorgeous. Nice and quiet but five minutes into town by taxi for £2. Due to corvid the hotel was very quiet but ridiculously good value. Even at normal prices I would thoroughly recommend it for a stay in chang rai.

One of the nicest resort in Chiangrai”
I was glad to have stayed here during my stay in Chiangrai. The place is near the city proper, landmarks and tourist attractions. It's also filled with lots of trees and bushes. The fishes on small canals that they have built were surprise. The staffs were also polite and accommodating. I would love to stay here again when I visit Chiangrai.

We stay at the Pawadol several times a year when visiting family in Chiang Rai. I love walking through the property and using the pool. They have great bathtubs and keep the rooms very clean.

Great spacious room with nice surroundings”
It was a nice big room with a nice sitting area outside. Staff are friendly and location is good if you have your own set of wheels. Tap in toilet is loose but still usable. Switches for lights a little wonky but manageable. Pool and gym does not look well maintained. Overall it was still a good stay.

Spent 3 nights in this resort with my family. Very lovely resort. Had an little issue with my room here and there, I think they need to hire some qualified maintenance, but nothing that could spoiled our time in there. Staff were extremely kind. My little daughter were in live with them. Thank you very much

Spacious room with Wooden decorate in Lanna(northern) style and full amenities. Not far away from city center(better have self transportation) Each room in upper and lower private villa situate in greenery environment.

Very quiet resort in the beautiful surroundings of Chiang Rai. By far the better resort. Nice rooms, very friendly staff and many service offerings.

Big resort and very green. We like the peaceful, quiet, and spacious room. However, the resort was a bit old and need renovation. The room smell like an old house that has not been used for quiet sometimes.

Good location and beautiful in Lanna style. The room was good but the Compressor of the Air conditioner has a loud noise and disturb my sleep all night.

Phowadol resort is a nice place, just outside Chiang Rai, convenient for getting to main sites if you have your own car. If you do not have your own transport I would not recommend this place. Maybe because it is off season it felt a bit run down. The ponds which the villas surround were murky and green which spoils a beautiful layout design. Our villa was spacious and comfortable with a nice seating area as well as the bed area. However, the phone did not work which meant no room service ordering nor arranging the ground transport for luggage collection etc and this was not fixed despite reporting it. Also the wifi was poor and despite two staff members trying to fix it I was unable to get wi-fi on my iPad throughout the stay, it only worked in the restaurant. Very disappointing and inconvenient. However, given the special price option it was worth the money paid. However, I would probably look at other alternatives in Chiang Rai next time.
