The booking was made under my name. I tried to contact the Hotel via Agoda’s website (twice) to inform them that my manager would check in and not me. No reply. I used the e-mail address on the confirmation sheet as the phone number, didn’t work at the time, no reply. I phoned the hotel and advised them that my manager would check in and they said it’s not a problem. They made a note. I contacted the hotel again to make sure they did make a note and the person I spoke to reassured me it’s not a problem and the note was on the system. When my manager arrived at the hotel they requested a copy of my ID, which he didn’t have. Why didn’t anyone advise me that they needed a copy of my ID when I confirmed the accommodation, and why didn’t anyone answer any messages via the Agoda website? What is the use of having the facility of communicating with the hotel via the Agoda website if it doesn’t get used? The rest of the stay was good.

The hotel is undervalued, for me it’s not a luxury hotel but it serves all the needs of the family , breakfast was really good and had everything we needed as family with children, the room was a bit small but very nice and clean and enough for family needs . I would like Thank @Tawfeek from the Guest Reception for his nice welcome and helping us with all our needs , on My Birthday they have sent me a birthday cake in my room 🙏🏻, we have enjoyed and we will be back again

We had a pleasant stay, staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean, both ladies at concierge amazingly patient. They could do with installing shower doors as water spills everywhere but I would go back there at any time, proper service

This hotel is nice. Really. Stay here if you can. We had a small suite, so my mom and I could each have our own area. Staff was friendly and helpful. The nearby Waterfront Mall had good shops and restaurants. The area is safe, but was a little hard to navigate back to the hotel after dark (turns out there's another hotel with Protea in the name nearby). The hotel breakfast is fantastic. Try it if you can.

A night manager woke me up at 1 am to verify something that could have waited until the next morning. The hotel is overpriced and the rooms are small.
