Child friendly resort right on the beach”
Stayed 6D5N at the Renaissance Samui (or #Rensamui as they call themselves). Our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 kids between 5-9 years old. We prefer swimming, chilling and the occasional sight seeing. Positives: Breakfast buffet great spread. Their Thai food is very good. Restaurants very kid friendly with children's menu (visit Tawann for more Asian kid's dishes). Two pools, one good for laps and the other fronting the beach. Free use of kayak and paddle board (life jacket and sand shoes available) Room size very decent Staff extremely friendly and helpful (we organized a very customized day tour with their help. Wonderful to have a very flexible itinerary when you have picky kids...) Some free in house activities available (yoga, towel folding, sand art etc) Accessibility friendly although likely still challenging due to it being on a slope Free shuttle out to the main road and also to Central Festival Market. Negatives Lots of stairs - they have lots of lifts and ramps but little legs get tired easily Air-conditioning is either freezing or hot. We had it at 26°C - need an additional robe on until the temp stabilized. Shower temperature is also erratic - there is a very fine sweet spot where the water will be warm. Our kids prefer less warm water and at that temperature, the shower will fluctuate between hot and cold. We kinda worked out which angle of the mixer tap works best by the end of our stay. Whirlpool - we used it once and the water was light brownish... Not sure if it's representative of the municipal water. Despite the negatives, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are likely to return again.

Our honeymoon at renaissance”
This location is beyond beautiful and magical the staff are so wonderful and caring! We had such a magical honeymoon and they surprised us with fantastic towel swans on our bed. I could not recommend this location any more the price is perfect and you get a section of beach that is essentially private. The spa is perfect with so many options and very kinda staff, we did a private romantic dinner for our last night and it was perfect it truly felt like we walked into a romantic movie just for the two of us.

Best resort on Koh Samui!”
Possibly best resort I've ever stayed! The hotel staff was amazing, attentive and super friendly. Housekeeping welcomed us in the room with a cute handwritten welcome note and diligently kept the room refreshed a couple times per day. Food at each of the restaurants in the resort was incredible, with a diverse selection of dishes. Extra special shout out to the beach bar staff!! :) The resort itself is beautifully designed and impeccably well maintained. The beach is quite good, compared to some other places on the island which can be very rocky. Between the restaurants, spa, and the beach, you could easily spend a week here and not be bored. I can't recommend this place enough! Everyone working at this resort each really deserves a gold medal :). Will definitely come back to stay here again.

What a beautiful place to spend a few days. Despite the rain, i could relax and thats down to the cleanliness of the place, general set-up and friendliness of the staff. For sure i would go back although i will go when its sunnier next time.
