استثنائيّ”
My first time in Chiang Mai, my friends recommended this hotel that is close to everything. A famous weekend market is only a little bit over one kilometer away. The front desk personnel called a taxi service for me, which only cost less than 2 USD. The room was very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied, including salad and delicious fresh fruit. The hotel team has always been friendly and helpful. That impressed me the most. I will stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to all travelers.
Terrible hotel”
### Hotel Review I recently stayed at this hotel for four nights, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Here are the main issues I encountered: 1. Toilet Problems: The toilet had very weak flushing power—so weak that it couldn’t even flush down a single tissue! 2. Hot Water Issues The hot water heater was not functioning properly. The staff claimed it was "warm," but the water was freezing cold, making it impossible to take a comfortable shower. 3. Low Water Pressure: Both the shower and the faucet had such low water pressure that it felt like they were leaking. It made washing up a frustrating experience. 4. Security Concerns: There was no peephole on the main door, which made me feel unsafe. I had to stuff a tissue in the hole to cover it up. 5. Power Outages: To my shock, the hotel experienced power outages! I’ve never heard of a hotel losing power, but it happened for two nights from 4 to 5 AM without any prior notice. It was hot, dark, and quite scary. 6. Noise from the Restaurant: The sound from the hotel restaurant below was unbearable. I could hear loud music and noises while trying to sleep, which made resting impossible. I complained about these issues for three days, but the staff told me the hotel was fully booked and there were no rooms available to switch to. I wanted to believe them, especially since it was the Lantern Festival and many hotels were likely fully booked. On the third day, the hot water heater still didn’t work, and they only offered us another room to shower, making it feel like a public bath experience. I noticed that whenever I reported issues with my room number, the staff exchanged knowing looks, as if they were already aware of the problems. Finally, on the fourth day, they moved us to a normal room, but by then, my impression of Chiang Mai had been severely tarnished. I doubt I will ever return to this city again. Overall, my stay was far from enjoyable, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.
comfortable”
this was a last minute booking because of a glitch with a different booking. The staff, Gary and Ashish, were very helpful at check-in. Being near old town, we were close to Anny Refresh Massage and Vava frozen yoghurt - both good. The breakfast buffet was good if you were early. It was nice to be able to use the pool (it was out of action in 2022 - Covid restrictions) but the gym has gone.
