It’s nice location oppose the palace, but there is no fridge in the room.
Opulence and Old London Chintz”
Literally next to one of the most important buildings in the world, the Rubens has a wonderful historical energy that it captures in it's decor and real old world London cheeky homage to the Royal Household. The hotel has a beautiful air of pomp and opulence, yet at the same time is refined and fun. The staff here are exceptional, given that COVID decimated the service sector especially with F&B, the relatively young team, helmed by the eminently experienced Erika, were refined, courteous and made us feel very well looked after overall. Other team experienced team members that deserved a mention, such as Front of House Joe, Concierge-in-charge John, and the stoic and understated Doorman Andrew were most helpful, welcoming and insightful. Joe in particular made us feel very well cared for throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend The Rubens either as a hub for business in the Capital, or as an experience of London I don't think you would get anywhere else. The rooms were a little small but wonderfully historical and charming with a great deal of period features and well-preserved retro service options.

The whole experience staying there has been a rewarding one. Very good in all aspects. The only thing is the discretionary charge, which you may come up with your own figure nonetheless.
Best seat in the house ”
Loved the Ruben’s, I was there for the coronation and had amazing views of the carriages leaving and returning. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and professional. London hotel rooms are small and I did feel slightly cramped but I’m used to the sister hotels “the oyster box” & “the twelve apostles” but the my room was still lovely. Separate shower which is a big plus for me. Breakfast in the morning was a decent spread but I only ate there once and felt it was a bit expensive although you had a large variety to choose from. Great location to Victoria station and a stroll down the Buckingham palace.
