Perfect place for diving or just relaxing”
I basically loved everything about this place. From the booking process all the way through to your departure they’ve taken a lot of care to make sure the trip runs smoothly. It’s a very organised and professional outfit. The friendly reception staff will help you through getting to the island - which is quite remote. The diving is world class. There are several large wrecks within a 10 minute boat ride. Staying at this resort is the most convenient way to reach all of them. The diving staff are very experienced (some have spent 15+ years diving these exact wrecks). They are cheerful and very helpful. On a couple of days they went above the call of duty and helped me repair some of my personal diving equipment instead of telling me to rent theirs. I just cannot recommend them highly enough. I would say that one of the dives through the wreck of the Morazon was amongst the best dives of my life. The accommodation is clean and peaceful. There is no air conditioning or hot water but the rooms are well situated so they get a sea breeze and are equipped with fans. Sleeping was very comfortable. The beds are all equipped with mosquito nets - although I was surprised that did not see a single mosquito for the duration of my stay. Food was plentiful, regular and delicious - you won’t go hungry. The cooks come up with great meals day after day - despite being there a week it was new every day. It has to be said that this is a remote island, if you’re looking for a place in town this isn’t for you. But if you want peace, quiet and some of the best diving of your life then this is the place for you. I will definitely be back.

Best in class customer service and amazing food! ”
We love everything about Sangat Dive Resort! The experience was superb special mention to Kat and Marjo who was very accommodating and really explained well about the island, the resort and his very entertaining storytelling about everything! We felt welcome in the island since mostly are foreigners are checked-in here. Not much of locals which can be quite expensive. The food was amazing too, kudos to the Chef and team! The monkeys are very entertaining. Just be careful with your stuff. Marjo explained it well so luckily we did not lost any of our stuff. It's very secluded which I really like and it's a very clean resort. It's exotic too and you have the sense of privacy to relax. But I think something is missing here to make the people come back more... maybe you need to hire a community manager to make everyone feel that Sangat is their second home and they'll crave to come back very soon. Like a community of divers hidden paradise in Coron. But overall, it was great!

Slice of paradise”
We didn’t know what to expect after booking this last minute with little research. The whole experience was great. It’s on its own island off coron, they offer free fast boat transfers to and from coron, all food is included in the costs as it’s the only restaurant on the little island (buffet). The staff were lovely and the little huts right on the beach were absolutely beautiful. Day tours are available from the hotel to see all of the coron island sites as well as snorkelling right out the front of the hotel. I did a discovery dive with the hotel and ended up enjoying it so much that we did a shipwreck dive later that day. The dive staff are extremely experienced and made me feel completely comfortable even though I didn’t know if I would enjoy diving. Would love to go back with the whole family.

Paradise”
The staff are attentive, helpful and friendly without being overbearing. The island is beautiful with a stunning beach and beautiful reef for snorkelling. The dive instructors were helpful patient and fun. For divers there’s obviously a lot of choice to visit. Meals aren’t always traditional but there is great variety, healthy choices and even a lot of vegetarian choices. Can’t recommend enough. I live in the Philippines but have never felt so welcome and they accommodated my disabled mother without hesitation.

The Best oceanfront bungalow”
If you wanna hear the waves and snorkel infront of your bungalow lay on a beach chair wholeday long, this is the best place. *there’s beach front bungalow and behind of them another bungalows are there. I recommend you to take beach front. You can have a wonderful view and the beach infront of you.

Amazing getaway!”
Sangat was the perfect escape, with everything that you need right at your doorstep! Pro’s: Simple but tasteful accommodation, beautiful stretch of beach, lovely and incredibly helpful staff, tea and coffee available all day, plenty of entertainment with books, board games and a pool table, wonderful snorkeling... I could go on and on! Con: An area for development is that replies via email seem to be copy and paste - it was quite challenging arranging the transport from Coron to Sangat. We were unable to get through on the phone so had to email and the person responding kept on saying that I need to call 2 days before arriving, despite me explaining that we couldn’t get through. In the end it was sorted out after I managed to get through on a call but A trike was arranged to pick us from our hotel without our knowledge and we were charged triple the normal amount! This left a not so good taste and could have been avoided with proper communication.

Scuba diving in paradise”
Fantastic 4 nights at Sangat Island! From the pick up and transfer, to the amazing accommodations, the food and drink, warm and welcoming staff, excellent dive shop, you name it Sangat does it superbly. Wish I could of stayed longer. Highly recommended!

Piece of heaven”
Amazing piece of nature,homemade delicious food,very friendly staff. Pretty slim on comfort but that is part of the experience,at least for us. Great diving but 330$ per night is expensive for a very basic room with no hot water. I would still return!

This place is paradise! Go if you love diving/snorkelling and want to be off the grid. The diving is top notch here with several interesting wrecks close by, some even a few minutes powerboat away. We did our open water PADI course here with Chris the dive instructor who was really helpful, organised some great dives and was a good teacher. The food was seriously good and healthy. No air con in the rooms but there are fans and it’s quite cool next to the beach. The WiFi is probably the only thing to mention that wasn’t perfect however, if you don’t mind being off the grid for your stay. Overall we had a relaxing time and really amazing dives.

It’s a magical place! The food is amazing, even for a vegetarian. Everything was perfect. The one little thing is that they don’t tell you they charge quite a lot for kayaks so you just find out on your bill.

The island and resort were paradise. ”
The private island was beautiful and very well laid out. You had your private cottages well spaced for privacy. We were greeted by a family of monkeys, the only ones we saw on the whole trip. It’s location for scuba diving and snorkeling was the best!! 5 minutes from the best wreck diving in the Philippines. The garden reef was spectacular. The dive shop and guides were very professional with excellent diving. The only subject that could use a little improvement was the food. There was plenty with lots of variety but there entres could have been better. Best stay in the Philippines our whole vacation.

Great place to rest and dive, a bit isolated from Coron! Ideal for couple’s or family holidays!”
The resort is beautiful and the staff is 5 stars, it is a great place for diving adventures and to get some rest away from the noisy crowds of Coron. The only downside I would say is that nothing is included in the room rate so expect meals, tours and drinks to be an add on, the resort is also an eco resort that only has cold water for showers, food is standard quality. Appart from that everything was great!

Wonderful place to stay”
What a wonderful place to stay. We loved very much this house. 2 rooms, 1 is very spacious and the bed is just great. All I very clean, a wonderful private garden and a nice pool fresh enough to start your day. They're cleaning every day and you will discover your secret bodyguard Rocky, a lovely dog who will survey the house for you. the kitchen is very complete and you can easily feel at home. The zircon is more than enough and you have a cable tv (mostly Philippino and some US). the place is very quiet and SAFE. We rented a car and it was just perfect. You will need 15 min by car to reach Alona Beach or 15 min to reach Tagbilaran Town and City Mall. Perfect. Nothing to say negative here and we will surely come back. Thanks also to the maid and her husband, ready to serve you with smile. the only negative point is the beach : the closest one is biking beach and you can't go there by walk. So you need a scooter or a car. this is why we put only 4 stars for the situation

The place is amazing, there are not a lot of people so you can be alone in the beach or in any other places. The staff is very engaged and friendly, always willing to help you. I would definetely come back! Specially mention to JoJo, our Padi instructor! If you’re thinking on takig the course this is te best place!! Thank you Sangat!

Hidden gem for divers”
Sangat Island Dive Resort is a diver’s paradise. It has as many as 11 shipwrecks around the island (ask resort for confirmation) and lots of coral reefs to explore, all within 20-minute boat ride. Each trip is only 1-1.5 hours with the dive itself 40-50 mins at 9am, 11am, and 2pm each day. You have enough time to come back to the resort for a break or a short meal before heading back out again for another dive. Personally I find that super relaxing and convenient. If you decide not to continue with another dive in the afternoon, you’re not suck on a boat getting sunburnt. Also, staff at Sangat is the best I’ve met in all the resorts I’ve been to (I go to resorts all over the world at least 2-3 times a year). They’re not just nice and professional, but also personable. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Will definitely come back! Highly recommend!
