Comfy stay with amazing service”
The hotel was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to accommodate my request to store a parcel in the freezer, which made my stay so much easier—definitely a five-star experience overall That said, at night, there was an eerie, high-pitched screech echoing through the building, like a metal chain swinging in the silence. I was too tired to ask the staff about it, but it left me wondering—hopefully, it wasn’t anything paranormal!,

Survived earthquake here ”
Experienced Taipei’s biggest earthquake in 25 years here. Other than the fact that the building clearly held up well to the earthquake, the hotel was quick to broadcast instructions to the guests on what to do, which is reassuring to say the least in a time like this. During the earthquake itself, while the shaking and swaying was bad given the magnitude, there were no signs of physical damage to anything after the tremors stopped. Apart from this, the hotel is generally in an excellent location (2 mins to train station which is only 2 stops away from Ximending), hotel staff are professional, the hotel is lux and clean and complete with top-tier restaurants.

I got a great price for 2 nights’ stay at the Grand Sheraton. As expected, it was good. The room was clean, the bed large, the bathroom spacious, and dining options aplenty. It is conveniently located near the Shandao Temple MRT station on the blue line, just one station away from the Taipei Main Station. Very easy to get around. If I were to pick on something, it’d be the furniture in the rooms. The design is very dated. They look like they haven’t been changed in years although they function without problems and are clean.

Expected more for a 5 star hotel. Excellent service from staff to allow later check out as our driver arrived slightly later than checkout time. The toilet door cannot be closed completely! There is a gap to view toilet business. Paid additional NT900 for a room with combined twin bed. Staff informed it might not fit 3 comfortably. Would be better if staff convinced us that it fits and to suggest us to change room if it doesn't. Felt the NT90P was not well spent. Breakfast selections was good and generally tasty
