Best place in Coron!”
We enjoyed our stay at Sophia's Garden Resort. It was love at first sight. The garden and pool gave a relaxing feel of the place. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Staff were courteous and friendly. They served delicious buffet breakfast. They can still improve by providing wifi connection at the hotel rooms. Right now, it is only available at the reception and garden area. While we came there for a vacation, it is inevitable to bring a bit of work, and that means having to connect late at night. It was quite a hassle to go out and connect at the reception area, especially when you are tired and it is already late. I brought my personal pocket wifi, and it was not working also within the premises. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Sophia's and will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Lovely and peaceful resort with incredibly friendly staff. The resort is located around a 20-25minute walk to the centre of town, or a 5 minute tricycle ride. We stayed over Christmas and the staff put on a buffet and music performance in the gardens for us on Christmas eve which was really thoughtful. Everyone was super helpful. The room was large and very clean, with a good tv package. The staff arranged a tour for us, and also offered a free shuttle to the airport several times a day. A great stay

Such A Secret Gem”
After booking this resort I was a little reserved about what it would actually be like but I trusted the previous reviews and all preassumed doubts were quickly washed away on arrival. Rooms were a great size and facilities were well kept - very clean too! Staff were extremely helpful from the airport transfers to arranging tricycles to the town - nothing was ever too much of an ask . They even helped us book a day boat tour 1 hour pre departure - they were very efficient and accommodating throughout our stay! Restaurant was great for a quick chill out although we used it more for breakfast due to being vegetarian. It’s not too far from town either - it’s quite nice to be out of it at night so you can switch off but also it’s only 5 minutes away on a tricycle if you want to go for a wander or have last minute dinner & drinks plans. Pictures do not do this accommodation justice it so charming and peaceful - would stay again and recommend!

Far from the noise of town but close enough for tricycle drive. Staff arranged for a private tour of town using tricycle. It was easy and quicker than the group tour.

Great place to stay when visiting Coron”
Our family of 5 visited for 4 days. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Whenever we would request anything such as toilet paper, their quick response was appreciated. Food tasted great and the included breakfast was a delight. There was a variety of Filipino cuisine which our kids loved. Staff at the front desk helped us book our tour, massage, trike to town, and they didn’t disappoint. There was some construction but asked us if the noise bothered us, and if it did they can ask them to stop. It didn’t bother us one bit. The place allowed us to feel relaxed, a place for meditation even. Overall, I highly recommend Sophia’s garden for families and for couples. Thank you for such great service!!!

Pleasant and well run”
Friendly staff and no request was an issue, the room was clean with good facilities and nice view of garden from upper floor rooms. Pool is nice and gardens are pretty. Restaurant is nice and food is good. We also felt very secure with security guards and locked gates at night and cctv onsite. WiFi isn’t great compared to western standards but best we had on Coron. The town is a 5 min tuk tuk ride away or a 15min walk which is interesting. It is in the higher price bracket and only improvement would be breakfast options, we had a great selection of different bread buns and toast, eggs fried or omelette and watermelon and pineapple with two types of cereals, I feel less bread and more hot options maybe fried tomatoes, bacon and some noodles for an local taste would be expected at this price bracket. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Older style facilities, but well kept. Lovely pool and gardens. Just far enough from Coron town to be quiet, yet only 10 min trike ride to the heart of Coron.

The staff was very-very attentive and hospitable, hotel may help with tour arrangement along Coron, breakfasts were very various (European, Asian, Philippino kinds and good)

Lovely Garden and very service oriented staff”
We enjoyed our stay at Sophia's garden and we loved the spacious garden. This is ideal for families and for couples seeking more peace and quiet. The staff of Sophia's are very service oriented, always ready to help! Just a note to management. The resort is undergoing construction . We booked a room good for 4 pax. Upon check-in, we discovered that our room is next to the construction site and the verandah/balcony was completely sealed off, making the room very dark and feeling enclosed. The management should be very clear about this situation in the booking site and be transparent about the situation. I will not book this room option in the first place if I knew about the situation. We raised this issue to the reception desk. Fortunately, the resort agreed to move us to another room (Family room) where it was much more pleasant to stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to come back when the expansion is complete, which looks very promising.

Lovely garden setting nice pool”
Great resort, nice staff, great pool (though lacking any lounges or comfy seats only hard seats) nice breakfast. We had issues with hot water and staff worked hard to fix it and then offered us an upgrade. Would return we enjoyed our stay on the lovely garden resort.

We stayed here a couple of nights to do the tours. Staff was welcoming and very nice. Free pick up and drop off at the airport is good. A bit outside of the town which is nice for us. They can call a trycicle to get you to town for 50 pesos. Nice swimming pool to dip in. Nice gardens as well. Restaurant on site if you don't want to go out.

Relaxation at its finest ”
We recently traveled to Coron to celebrate our anniversary.. The welcome of this hotel, amazes us. They prepare our room with candle lights and rose petals and a background music as we enter the room. What I love most about the place is the peaceful ambiance wherein you can truly relax after a long day of island hopping. Room is spacious (deluxe room, we requested for upgrade) & clean. The food at the restaurant was on an average. We look forward for a spa inside the hotel but there's none. I hope they can set up since the place is good for relaxation. Overall, i will recommend the place for those after a quiet and peaceful place. Thank you Sophia's Garden for a great stay :)

Chilled and relaxed but no fireworks”
It's a great place to run away from the Coron-town buzz but still in walking distance to the city (20 mins). The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. And the garden has a nice feel. Unfortunately, and this probably is not entirely resort's fault, but... there has been a construction going on the neighbouring site, just outside of our window (March 2019) waking us up at 8am each day... and over the weekend, when we finally hoped for some decent sleep, big group of guests was checking in at 2am, standing just outside of our doors and shouting to each other... Not cool at all... Lastly, their breakfast is very very simple so we never tried their evening restaurant, that apparently is meant to be very good...

Beautiful garden and very relaxing. The resort itself was a bit aged but well maintained. There seems to be a new building under construction in the property, which could be the ocean view. Staff were very helpful and attentive. They arranged an island hopping tour for us instantly even though we requested the night before.

A beautiful garden, nice and cosy homes, wooden and classical buildings with a veranda in front of the door. Just perfect. Nice and clean pool, very friendly and helpful staff. The 5 min ride by trycicle to town is fun and cheap.

A good place to stay if you're after some peace and quiet. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and the warm jacuzzi & pool are welcome additions. The restaurant though needs some improvement, we had to go to town to find some good food. Overall though, I'd still recommend Sophia's to my friends. Thumbs up!

Peaceful Garden Retreat ”
Wonderful retreat that is peaceful and beautiful. The garden and pool area are a nice place to relax and have cute lights at night that illuminate the trees. It does get quite hot during the day and AC was only really available in the lobby or in your room. The room we stayed in was fairly clean. We had issues with the water leaking in the bathroom which staff promptly fixed and also had some small ant colony in the bathroom but it didn’t really bother us. Staff is warm and friendly. And to get to town it’s a 10 min tricycle ride which has tons of restaurants and shops
