New Resort Type Hotel with 4 ft deep pool”

We were satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, the AC was excellent, the shower is seaparate from the toilet, the bedding and pillows were fresh and the bed was so comfortable. the pool was an absolute great addition however it is only 4 ft deep (good for the kids thou not for adults). The only down side was the breakfast. It was plated and not so generous in portion, considering that the rate of the room is higher that in any other accommodations in Puerto Princesa. We stayed in other hotel before and their breakfast was a buffet. Bring a mosquito repellent lotion and you can use it when you are outside of the room at night.

Worst hotel ever!!! Ruins your vacation. ”

The hotel is not fully booked but the staff will not allow early check-in even the rooms are not occupied. Stayed 3 nights, no refill of water and coffee. No amenities provided. Cannot borrow utensils from the kitchen. The Manager is a snob and doesn’t know customer relations ethics. All the staff is a failure. The room and bathroom is so dirty. The pool is dirty. The water is low flow. So many mosquitoes in the area. Never book this hotel. The owner is not generous for everything. We were literally begging for bottled water, spoon and plates. No room service or food in the kitchen. This is the worst hotel. Ruined the vacation.

Southwind Palawan is a nice place to relax and this place is a very quite one. It's Staff are very accomodating and friendly, the security in the area is very noticeable....our family and kids enjoyed our vacation here....

Good hotel”

Clean room with good beds, but not so big. Nice pool even if quite shallow. Staff helped us to book activities (underground river, honda bay) and transfer to el nido. Wifi ok. Quite far away from the city centre which is a bit inconvenient to reach restaurants. Breakfast quite basic.

Very nice”

We started very badly since the hotel forgot to pick us at the airport and we had to wait for the shuttle for more than an hour after we arrived BUT when we got to the hotel, all our frustration vanished as we were pleasantly surprised. It seemed new and was very pretty and our room was spacious, with a separate toilet and bath (which was very useful since we were a group). We also picked this hotel due to its proximity to the venue of our convention and was really accessible. The pool had with warm water too! Cable had many movie channels. Wifi was available but a bit slow. Overall, it was a great hotel and I like that it’s not too expensive, our room for 5 costs around 3K+ a night, not bad! And even though it’s cheap it does not sacrifice comfort and amenities. Just some suggestions: more breakfast choices, and to give free coffee, and not have to choose only 1 breakfast drink. And can provide bet Overall, we had a great stay

Good value for money, even when it was unfinished”

Very good service, greeted us as we arrived with cute flower leis and assisted us very attentively, from check-in to check-out. Rooms are very nice, and stocked with items from necessities to nice extras such as an iron, ironing board, and also had a small fridge. The beach is odd, however, probably because it was man-made and still wasn't complete during our stay. Also, there was the odd smell of sewage, because of the open canal near our room at the time.

We stayed here for 4nights and it's worth it. The location was perfect for us since it's just along the road and convenient when going to their city since we rented a motorcycle. Staff were pleasant and nice. Friendly pool. 10 star for them!

Love this place”

I loved staying at this place. The staff was super nice and helpful. Location is walking distance to Robinsons but you can also take a tricycle or jeepney ride to SM for 10 minutes. They have a security guard at all times. Pretty quiet area. We stayed for a couple of days. The room was always clean. They gave us new towels and water everyday. AC worked great. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. The wifi was the only thing that wasn't great but that seems to be the case everywhere in the Philippines. For the price, it was extremely worth it.

staff needs more training”

location is close to robinson mall so we usually walk going there, about 10-15mins. nice room and swimming pool. Great food in Fat Tonys Restaurant located in the hotel too. We love the rosell juice and cocktail. if you want your room to be clean, you have to leave your key to the reception, and you have to tell them clearly that you need cleaning or else they wont. complimentary breakfast is nice too, there were just a misunderstanding sometimes with the receptionist in terms of room service breakfast. i told her its in the balcony, but the next day we waited for half an hour only to find out it was misunderstood. maybe a more training for the staff to be more focus in listening skills, for those in the reception.

Room is good and bed very comfortable. but far from shopping mall (walk around 10-15 min). breakfast is not buffet and little for me but taste is good.

Far from city center, no internet connection in rooms, shower drain is clogged”

First, I was instructed that a person will be waiting at the airport with my name as a sign for the shuttle service. There was none; in fact, I had to look for that person in the crowd. Second, I was told that they only serve breakfast for people who will stay in the hotel, regardless of the number of guests you declared. I don’t want to elaborate, but that somehow became an issue. Third, the hotel restaurant was closed on two days that I was there. I had to leave the hotel or call for fast food delivery when I wanted to eat. Fourth, the pool has no lighting at night, which obviously makes it unsafe for children to swim. Fifth, the shower drain is clogged. There’s flooding inside the bathroom, which again makes it unsafe for children. Lastly, the location is far from the city’s points of interest. The only saving grace is that Robinson’s mall is nearby, but that mall is not that exciting or complete even.

Rooms are nice and clean. The bed and pillows will surely give you a nice sleep. The TV has cable channels and the airconditioning worked fine. The bathroom has an adequate size. However, service needs improvement. Some hotel staff lacked warmth and hospitality. They were polite but they wouldn’t go the extra mile to satisfy guests’ requests. Front desk wasn’t able to endorse the wake up call and early breakfast as requested.

superior facilities and excellent location”

Perfect facility family of 3 with 1queen and 1 single bed. Impeccable condition although a little tight. Showers great though could use handtowels also. Pool is a wading pool but sufficient for cooling off against the heat. Fixed breakfast is inadequate but consistent with the very reasonable pricing. Plus free shuttle from and to airport. Staff could have been flexible in allowing much earlier check in than 2p since rooms were already ready.

Comfy, clean and good location”

The space of the hotel is very laid back. If it was not raining, it would have been nice since we can maximize our own veranda. The manager allowed to transfer us to another room since we have a problem with the toilet in our first room. Their breakfast is good especially the roselle juice and you can upgrade it at a minimal price if you want bacon or sandwhich. Overall our stay is good. I recommend this place especially if you only want a city tour on your agenda like we do.

Good location, friendly staff and clean”

It was a very good vacation. I’m pleased with this hotel. The rooms separated from each other so you don’t hear anything. I also love the down comforter. I feel like home. Breakfast is okay. Not the best but not that big of a deal. Staff is great! They are always there to help you with anything. If I go back to Puerto Princesa, I would definitely stay again and I highly recommend it!!!

Waited more than an hour before we can check in ”

We arrived at past 4pm and the front desk lady told us to wait an hour before we can check in because the room was still not ready, knowing that check in time is 2pm. So we waited for more than an hour before we were able to go inside our room. We came from a long road travel and we were very tired and just wanted to rest but ended up waiting for the room to be ready. They did not even offer complimentaries to make up for that while we are waiting. Quite a disappointment. Other than that, room was nice and you get what pay for.
