Speke Resort Munyono - Nightmare”
I am a seasoned traveller. Spent over 200 days in hotels in 2022. This is by far the worst experience and the biggest rip off I have ever experienced. I had booked a $300 cottage. Top of the line. Door locks don't work. Almost had to break the door down. Aircon leaks water, taps and faucets have fossil growth. Rodent faeces were seen near the bed. Telephone cord was broken. Replacement room given was a $135 dollar room against a $300 cottage with two bedrooms. No refunds or make up complimentary of anything. They did not even bother. They claim all night dining. When ordered for they were less than eager. Proceeded to eat in the dining room. Left over meat pieces under the chair. Ordered a Chicken Biriyani. Not worth commenting on it. Staff hound you like you're about to run off without paying the bills. Front office staff should be court martialed for their ice cold warmth and non existent hospitality. Oh and the carpets..... ugh!!! Evident and consistent in behaviour during check in and check out. Saw other guests having similar annoyances. So long story short, did not even bother to stay for breakfast. Ran away while I was still ahead.

Internet claim of 4 restaurants on site appears false - only one is available 24/7 i.e. the main Nyanja/Lakeside. Some resort features "best in Uganda" e.g. Gym and olympic size pool, serene undulating setting on shore of Lake Victoria, upkept landscaping and gardens, and highly trained staff service. Special mention for Eric, brown uniform, for providing such multi-skilled assistance, whether electric buggy driving frorm Lobby to Room, tech for printing boarding cards, or for retrieving luggage from Entebbe left by KA at Nairobi airport!

Trip to Kampala”
Overall, the hotel amazing with a beutiful view to Lake Victoria, clean and good breakfast. However, some resturant staff would prefer to give a full attension to white people and ignore blacks.

Party house ”
If you want to relax, rest, or just enjoy your own private space without others inflicting their things, then this is not for you. Loud party til late in courtyard dining surrounded by many rooms. Personal music speakers played at pool, dining, grass area. Why should I have to be subjected to someone else’s music choice? Headphones!! It go to the beach. Stench of hookah while eating at restaurant burning my nose. Oh, and gardens locked so very little space to move around it walk the grounds. Just not an enjoyable stay.

It’s so big and beautiful place, and the room is big enough, we really feel comfortable there! I love the swimming pool and gym, I will recommend it to all my friends

A very pleasant stay”
Nice modern rooms & stunning pools. Food pretty good. Only issue we had a slow drain in the shower so it would fill as we showered so we opted to shift rooms.

A very pleasant place to stay with friendly and competent staff, nice and clean rooms, fully equipped, wonderful restaurants and bars with a great breakfast buffet, very good gym and a large, well maintainde pool. I would definitely come again!

The environment was superb and very unique. But the tall dark-skinned security guard at the gate would need more customer service training in relation to how to treat black foreign individuals visiting the country, as the treatment of myself and my guest at the gate was very poor indeed.

This was a disappointing stay. The facilities were outdated, the internet very unreliable, and the check-in and check-out process very inefficient. The upsides were 1) a very nice staff, and 2) pretty good food. Still, I would look for another option for future trips.
