Great stay with a familiar atmosphere”
Our stay at Sun Moon Star Resort was great and unforgettable. To point out at first is the family who runs the hotel, especially the two sisters. From the beginnig they received us so heartily that we felt welcome. All along every question could be asked. It was easy and interesting to get in contact with them and we laughed very much. The sisters take everything to their heart and really want their guests to enjoy the stay. If there would be any problem, it can be talked about - but we didn't have any reason for. The room was like presented on the pictures and it was always very clean. To mention, there were some extras like bathrobes, bath shoes, beach towels and a beach bag. The food and drinks at the restaurant were quite tasty. We didn't want to go somewhere else. Especially the fruit shakes are soooo delicious... The sisters managed our desired transfers and day trips - everything was fine and without any problems. We liked the "No woman no cry" boat trip (longtailboat, small group) where we had five stops for snorkeling, lunch and chilling at bottle beach. To sum up we had a great time and felt very comfortable. Sadly, we only had four nights there. If somebody wants to have a nice stay with good-hearted people, we absolutely recommend Sun Moon Star Resort. Kop khun khaa!

Lovely family Hotel with friendly staff and good restaurant ”
We‘ve been at the sun Moon Star resort 2016 and visited now again with two small children. It was as we expected: very very friendly, good rooms, good staff, tasty Food (especialy the pancakes with peanutbutter), cool Shakes and lots of information. We were feeling very comfortable espcialy with our kids. I always had the feeling if something would happen with our Kids this Family would help us. So we had a nice stay at a wonderful Place and will come back again someday.

top (lovely) place to stay”
Stayed there for two nights and felt right rom the beginning very comfortable. The Bungalows are kept clean and are well maintained. The lovely sisters made the stay special though. They are very helpful and friendly. If a problem occurs they’re right there to help. Just a very short walk to a nice beach. Would come back for sure. :)

Exceptional service by wonderful family run business ”
Phon, On and family treated me with so much care and respect and they are such beautiful caring and warm people if only everybody you meet could be half the amazing humans this amazing family are the world would be a wonderful place. I felt a part of the family from the first night so much so I extended my stay as I fell in love with the kindness and tranquility of the family run bungalows.. and the food! Oh my god it was absolutely delishious every meal I had was faultless I recommend highly to feed your senses on the traditional and tasty flavours of the Thai menu prepared fresh and to your liking amazing chef you can tell love has gone into the dishes you eat. Overall I can’t say enough about how much this visit has touched me I highly recommend to visit here and to explore this gorgeous island, you will wanting to come back time and time again. I’m already wanting to return as I get ready to check out. Thank you alot for having me as your guest. 🙏🙏 lots of luck and happiness to your family. Dan.

It only got better”
This was my second stay after couple years and it only got better. The location while not directly on the beach it is just stone throw away, a few minutes walk down the hill. Room was spotless and the surroundings well kept. While previous stay was satisfactory it only got better. I noticed the owner no longer requires a 1000THB key deposit that some reviewers in the past had a beef with. Also the owner no longer greets new customers with a list of fines for using wrong towel for the beach or flashing paper down the toilet. I noticed that the maintenance no longer turns off water in rooms when watering plants leaving some guests with shampoo on their heads. Rooms are equipped with a fridge that does not get disconnected when you pull room key from a socket so drinks stay cool. AC was ice cold and water pressure under shower was among strongest I experienced in Thailand travels even when turning hot water on. It was also hot and not lukewarm like in most other places. I’ll be back:)

One of the best places, period! Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful room with great facilities and only a 3 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. They make you feel so welcome!

استثنائيّ”
The room was clean, nice and spacious. Good bed and pillows. Owners are really nice and they also have a restaurant where they cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for a good price. The beach is only 10 minutes away and they provide you with beach towels that can be changed every day if you like. We rented a scooter from them and it was in good condition. Can highly recommend this place.

We visited back in May and had a lovely stay. The buildings are modern and well air conditioned as well as exceptionally clean. Excellent value for money. The owners are very friendly and lovely to chat to about the island. The food is also incredible!

Second visit! Best owners of the World, very welcoming, friendly, helpful, sweet and funny. The food tastes like your own Thai mum would cook for you. Definetly recommended!!

Traveled Phangan to dive and relax. Found Haad Yao to be good base for Chaloklum for diving and Sri Thanu for yoga and vegan fare. Sun moon star excellent value for locale and spacious clean lodging. Owner helpful and friendly.

Lovely, big, clean rooms....the people that run the place are amazingly helpful and friendly. Just a short walk down to the beach. Thoroughly recommend this place! :)

Lovely Place”
We spent a delightful time at the resort. The owner is wholeheartly welcoming and helps you with every wish. The bungalows are spacy and clean. You can eat at the resorts own restaurant and rent excellent scooters at the accomodation as well.

Nice modern bungalows”
The bungalows are fairly new and modern with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. The property is about 3-5 minutes walk from Haad Yao beach with lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment. We enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

quiet and nice room”
we selected a room next to the street or entry and it was unbelievably quiet. (so we also do not have a good view but it was fine). the room is so spacious and clean with open robe. bed is very comfy and AC is great. we booked for two nights and the rate was so cheaper in Agoda. they have restaurant next to reception but we never tried the food. they do not have swimming pool. few things that i want to comment is: 1. the bathroom, their shower is weird and be carefully in operating the hot water as it will really gives you burning hot water. 2. they only give 1 toilet roll per night 3. they need to test and tag their appliances and electrical device. i think the hair dryer is broken. overall stay was excellent. the staff is very friendly too.
