Great Hotel!”
Suite room 613, King size bed, separate sheeting area, lounge and small kitchenette. Very attractive heritage building from a bygone era. Location great, across the road from the large and very pretty public park. Close to a number of shops and restaurants. Room very clean, kitchen handy with sink, microwave and small bar fridge (no freezer section though). Bed sumptuous and very comfortable. Ensuite bathroom well appointed. Two LG flat screen TVs, one on bed wall and one in lounge. Both able to stream from my android phone using a provided web site (used Nord VPN with a hotel supplied 5Ghz WiFi service). All in all a great start to our stay here in Halifax!
Miss on the little things.”
My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Friday and then the following Monday. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The bed was massive and extremely comfortable . You'd be hard-pressed to find a better location. And it's a beautiful property. It's a good hotel. However, I felt the hotel was a bit little lacking on the small things. We stayed in different rooms on the two different nights. The first room was large and had a really nice view of the public gardens. There were power outlets everywhere and they were conveniently located for charging your devices. On the second night the room was considerably smaller, and there weren't that many outlets where you could charge your devices. It was kind of disappointing seeing as I paid pretty much the same money for the same level of room but there was such a difference between the two nights. Also I found the pillows to be terrible. Extremely uncomfortable. This could be a personal thing but for me they were the most uncomfortable pillows in any hotel I've stayed in the last 10 years. Kind of a letdown for a hotel of this price range. Another thing which I found odd was again for a hotel at this price point and star rating they didn't provide you with bathrobes in the room or slippers. Not a big thing but something that I would expect from a property at this price point. Did I like the hotel? Yes. Would I stay here again? All things being equal I would probably try a different hotel next time. I just felt a little disappointed in the experience.
استثنائيّ”
Our stay at this hotel was exceptional, a true gem in Halifax! We were celebrating our anniversary, and they surprised us with a special gift that made our visit even more memorable. The room was spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed, offering both comfort and luxury. It was easily the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!
Fantastic Stay”
Room rented was an Executive King Suite. It was a really nice accommodation type to have for a couple and for an extended stay as there was some additional seating room, beyond what you'd find in a standard room. Everything was very comfortable and the hotel staff (front desk, housekeeping, Arms Restaurant) were very accommodating and helpful. Location is awesome as the hotel is directly across the road from the Public Gardens and a short walk down to the waterfront. Would definitely return.
Great stay”
The hotel was perfectly situated for us. It is set at the top of the hill from downtown so that would be a consideration for people with mobility issues. It is an older style hotel which again suited us perfectly. It’s classy and has touches of slightly older times which in our opinion we’re charming but for someone used to ultra modern it may not fit that mould. The room was a suite overlooking the park which is their good view. It had a couch, desk and a small kitchenette with a Nespresso coffee machine, sink and fridge. The room had 2 digital safes and a very comfortable king bed. The bathroom was small. As in your knees were pressed up against the wall if sitting on it. That is again something associated to older hotels and didn’t bother us but should be noted. All the staff were very polite and accommodating. Parking is $28 per night. We opted to park on the street which is very well signed and free all weekend. With that we took our chances on vandalism etc and that’s a personal choice. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the food but were told by other guests that it was very good. I would definitely stay there again and with so many other options that’s as good a recommendation as I can make.
