Fantastic place”
Tree tara is by far the best place I have stayed in Sai yok in the 20 years I have lived here, it has everything, perfect location, right on the river, quiet, large rooms with everything you need, honest friendly respectful/helpful staff who don't act like there's an "Apocalyptic Emergency" you feel free and relaxed and not stressed by the (present) situation. The restaurant serves the most delicious and heartiest Thai meals that would exceed the expectations of even the most fussiest critique. The small but beautifully situated pool is amazing, juting right out into the river's edge, clean and refreshing. The whole place gives a feeling of clean energizing jungle atmosphere and I would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the best of what Sai Yok has to offer, definately worth the money!

Superb resort for families and solo travelers”
I am more than satisfied with this resort. Of course, the location on the riverside, the beauty, cleanliness and peace of the resort. But also the warm welcoming, the constant attention of the staff. And also the high quality of the food served in a beautiful terrasse restaurant facing the river. My bungalow room was just perfect, and nicely decorated. Everything clean and well fitted. The Tree Tara Resort is now my 100% place to stay when I will go back to this area.

For the accommodation is clean and comfortable, I love the atmosphere and view in the morning. Breakfast also good and delicious, it including buffet like soft boiled rice, bread, juice, milk, ham, egg and fruit. Moreover, you can see elephant during breakfast time.

استثنائيّ”
Gorgeous hotel by the river with swimming pool overlooking the River Kwai. Very friendly and kind staff, accommodating us for breakfast when little or a lot of guests onsite. Lots of animals around too, we counted 5 dogs, 8 puppies, a few cats and kittens plus 3 peacocks! Would definitely come back as such a beautiful resort in nature, 15 minutes away from a climbing crag called Turtles Home. Thank you for having us!

Villa 4 by the river - one night is not enough”
Love every minute there and definitely going back and recommend to my friends. Perfect location, nice breakfast, super nice and friendly owner and every staff we met. They are thoughtful, considered, kind and always ready to help with smile. Room - private setting by the river, opposite the elephant sanctuary so you can hear and see them sometime. Balcony with perfect view and great for chill out at night, if the weather permitted. Quiet setting, apart from those noise from neighbors. Room upstairs can be very loud with walking and closing doors. The stairs lead to our villa is quite steep and slippery when wet, long flight, not suitable for bad knees. Bathtub only. Ants and some insect visiting, don't leave the door open. Staff will spray from ants repellent if you asked. Balcony is not suitable to sit when rain. Floor in room is cold, should provide slipper (I'm Thai, not used to walk in room with shoes).

A great place”
We loved our stay at the Tree Tara Resort - it was very nice and peaceful and we loved our breakfast watching the elephants on the other side of the river - very special. We enjoyed our swim in the pool in the evening and the lush surroundings of the resort. The staff was very friendly and let us use their bike to visit the nearby Wampo viaduct and get some dinner. It is a pity that it is no meals are provided at the resort other than breakfast and for that reason we stayed only one night as with no transport of our own it would be difficult for us to stay longer. We loved our short stay very much.

We wanted something a little out of the way whilst visiting Kanchanaburi area and this was it ! We did have our own car so that made it easier. We booked 2 superior bungalows for 2 nights. Air conditioned and soft beds. The breakfast was buffet style one morning and served to us the first day. Huge thrill for us was the elephants across the river bathing whilst we ate breakfast. The staff here are great if limited in English and very kind. The infinity pool overlooks the River Kwai and was warm enough to swim in in December. There’s a small night market about 1km away and a few local restaurants. A 7/11 and a CJ express also. One negative is that there’s a couple of dogs on the property who are sweet and playful but almost take your breakfast off your plate. They shouldn’t be allowed into the dining area. One star off for cleanliness. Highly recommend the Krasae cave and railway 3kms away and the Erawan National Park and waterfalls 1 hour away. Great resort , beautiful area.

Do not miss, at 7am every morning elephants across the river come down to swim and clean, for about one hour, I was there every morning and no humans to control them, it is special, restaurant is great as well

Tranquil resort on the River Kwai Noi”
We had a lovely visit staying in one of the riverside villas. Very comfortable and clean rooms, great view of the river (and the elephants on the other side of the river that would come down to cool off during the day). Generally facilities are very nicely done, though do note that the furnishing by room type does vary according to price--all are clean and well-fitted out, but comfort of beds, pillows, etc. are different. During our visit, the onsite restaurant was only open for breakfast, there are nearby cafes and restaurants. This is in a very quiet area, which was exactly what we were seeking.

We did lose power because of a big storm but it came back after an hour or two. Not a lot of vegetarian/vegan food but we planned in advance for that. It was clean. The extra bed added to the room was not comfortable so it would be better to just get an extra room if you have extra people, instead of the cot. Definitely elephants at breakfast if you get there early enough! Has a nice pool beside the river with a view of the elephants if you're there at the right time. Interesting surprises around every corner! Can you find the peacocks? We liked this place.

Excellent place”
We booked villa A2 and that was just perfect. We loved the place. Very large room, very large, tasteful. Splendid bathroom with a real bathtub for 2 persons with 2m height. Property itself is really nice, feels private and cosy. I would definitely stay there again !

Beautiful spot right by the river, out in nature, real quiet and serene. Perfect for a getaway from Bangkok. The staff were super friendly and helped us out a lot. The infinity pool is a great spot to chill.

Peaceful location removed from city”
This hotel was a great place to stay to be able to travel to attractions in the area. It is right along the river, very peaceful and across from the Elephant Rescue. We enjoyed watched the elephants each morning while we ate breakfast. The gardens are lovely and the staff were very kind and helpful. It was likely very beautiful a number of years ago but hasn't really been updated in awhile. Our room was moderately clean, the beds are pretty firm and things are a little run-down. However, the overall experience was still enjoyable. I think the highlight for my kids was having some space to run around, visiting the peacocks on site and playing with the cats that are on the property. There is a restaurant on site which is convenient if you don't want to go back out. The dinner food is moderate quality and portions are large. We chose to include breakfast in our stay and it was very nice.

Sai yok”
Very big resort but quite, chalets where clean and comfy beds. Infinity pool was ver6 nice and clean, there was a restaurant on site but not open. Breakfast was basic but ok. Staff where very nice. Transport is essential as it’s out in the wilds but very nice if you want to relax.
