Traditional Balinese Hotel ”
Beautifully restored 18 century Palace, luxurious accommodations, with lovely pool. Our room had a private pool, outdoor shower/tub. The king size bed was so comfortable in the extra large air conditioned room. The breakfast was delicious everyday with the views of the ocean from the roof deck. Steps away from the beach and beach clubs. The Lawn with its beach club vibe and Old Man dancing club were all walkable and but did not disturb our sleep. The staff could not have but nicer or more helpful. Would recommend and go back.

This hotel is out of this world from the moment you walk in. Amazing traditional architecture and interesting decor. The staff here are amazing. They have been asked to consider you as their family and treat you with genuine heart felt interaction. The staff will answer any questions and share knowledge in all subjects. A highlight was in fact those chats. Our room was a Ground floor pool suite and the bathroom had opening shutters to a small courtyard and fish pond with a deep bath. Candles made the ambiance even more stunt and the hair conditioner smelt amazing I wish I could have purchased it. The greeting on arrival made you feel so special as did the daily poems and flowers and turn down service. The plunge pool was private and beautifully cool and the main pool was huge and great for laps but also very relaxing with fountains and a shallow area for children. The spa was truly beautiful as was the treatments. I had a chanting massage as well as a traditional healing and saw many others enjoying cooking classes and herbal remedy making just to name a few. The hotel has a Japanese roof top restaurant with views to ocean and only a few meters to the beach front which to the left has Finn’s beach club that you can walk to a few kilometres etc and to the right great beach club a few minutes away with heaps of eateries overlooking the great surfing and waves. Just magic. Sunsets there’s happy hour. Transfer from the airport took a long time as we travelled in peak hour. Very busy but driver was great and on arrival he had cold towels and hotel made cool fruit salad and water to refresh us from our flight. You could choose where to eat breakfast and I’d recommend one morning at the Lotus pond. You need to give one day notice but it was special for sure. I celebrated my birthday there and everyone made me feel like royalty out of this world. Singing and birthday cake and everyone wishing me happy birthday If you like satays give them a go here as the experience itself it’s great and the satays are so good. At the papa see restaurant check out the dragon boats they come out with smoke coming from the dragons hear areal treat not to be missed. Breakfast is made for you just order from the menu generous servings. I tried the noodle soup the broth was so good as was everything. The street had lots of shopping looking a bit like seminyak and loads of money changers with good rates better than airport of course. A few places had live music and old man’s and the lawn looked like a party atmosphere as did hotel mexicola these these places we a few steps away from hotel. Be prepared for lots of traffic if you going anywhere in a car or by scooter but we found that walking was very easy. Also getting a cab back from Finns one night was easy as and only 15k. Lots happening outside the hotel but inside it’s quiet and peaceful. The king bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in as was the pillows. Just the best and the aircon worked well as did the fridge and mini bar There’s at in the room but we didn’t watch The personal touches here just really do make your stay as does the beautiful unique hotel and staff. It’s just amazing I am so glad I chose Tugu to celebrate my birthday making lifetime special me memories I hope to return sometime in the future as I loved everything about it and am looking forward to enjoying more of their special service and unique offerings. Also for gin and tonic lovers this is the place for you. My partner said it was the best gin and tonic he ever had and that’s saying something as this Bali holiday he did get to sample quite a few 😎🏖
Little Oasis in Canggu”
We love everything about Tugu Hotel Canggu. We are a group of 4 couples stayed for 3 nights in Oct 2022. The hotel is wonderful and the rooms (Rejang & Dedari) are designed beautifully, unique interiors & meticulously clean, plenty of space. We have everything we need in the bedroom. Fresh ground coffee, tea, honey & a cafetière are provided in the bedroom. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choices of Indonesian & European dishes, all are very healthy options. The restaurants have great menus for lunch & dinner too. All the staff were very welcoming and very helpful to make our stay more comfortable. They even made us some take away breakfast as we had to leave early morning to catch the ferry to Lombok. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend if you are staying in Canggu area. Thank you for having us!

What a lovely experience it was staying at Hotel Tugu! The gorgeous Balinese architecture, tastefully done up property, yummy food (breakfast and lunch), spacious comfortable rooms…and fabulous, kind staff! Several restaurants nearby, and beach nearby too. Would highly recommend!
Magical cultural stay in paradise ”
Magical paradise almost mystical with traditional design and beautiful Indonesian culture, art & antiques at every turn. We stayed in the hotel for 5 wonderful nights. The personnel are beautiful, helpful and always a pleasure to deal with. The hotel is super clean. The breakfast was so delicious, healthy and one of the best breakfast experiences we have had travelling around the world. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to return. Thank you Tugu ❤️❤️❤️
