מלון מדהים ומושלם! Perfect hotel!!”
Just perfect. This hotel was the best we have ever stayed in in Thailand! From our arrival we realized that we had arrived at an amazing place, when they came to pick us up. We were 2 honeymooners. We told them, and they made sure the room had a romantic arrangement of some beautiful things. The hotel is not far from the port, but a short drive to Had Rin. The pool is amazing, and the hotel staff were the best people we met! And the view from the room? No words to describe. The room is clean and there is an amazing balcony. There is also an amazing and professional spa, its price a little more expensive than the usual institutes but it is so professional worth every bout we paid. I would stay there every day if I could. highly recommend! And of course we will come back again. פשוט מושלם. המלון הזה היה הכי טוב שהיינו בו בכל תאילנד! כבר מההגעה הבנו שהגענו למקום מדהים, כשבאו לאסוף אותנו. היינו 2 זוגות בירח דבש. אמרנו להם, והם דאגו שבחדר יהיה סידור רומנטי של כמה דברים יפהפיים. המלון נמצא לא רחוק מהנמל, אבל במרחק נסיעה קצרה להאד רין. הבריכה מדהימה, והצוות של המלון היו האנשים הכי טובים שפגשנו! והנוף מהחדר? אין מילים כדי לתאר. החדר נקי ויש מרפסת מדהימה. יש גם ספא מדהים ומקצועי, המחיר שלו טיפה יותר יקר מהמכונים הרגילים אבל הוא כל כך מקצועי ששווה כל באט ששילמנו. הייתי נשאר לגור שם כל יום אם הייתי יכול. ממליץ בחום! וכמובן שנחזור שוב.

As a traveling digital worker, I currently live an absolutely minimalistic lifestyle with a huge passion for luxury and aesthetics. In the past I have often recognized that "cheap" does not necessarily exclude aesthetics, just as "luxury" does not always mean beautiful. I always rate accommodations with comparable accommodations. So in this review of "Varivana Resort" we are talking about the "First Class" category. Room choice was Deluxe Suite Mountain View. Visually this hotel is absolutely stunning. The hotel grounds are extremely clean, the rooms are gorgeous and well-designed and the pool is the perfect place to watch the sunset. In addition to the high standard, you also have a fabulous location. It takes you 6 minutes by scooter to the Phantip Food Market, 5 minutes to a very good gym I also recommend (Xantiva), 4 minutes to great bars and coffeeshops like Alcove and Indigo. The rooms are optimally equipped for digital work, f.e. good seating area and a separated wifi in every room. If you want to take advantage of the daily cleaning of the room, you can continue work from the pool area at lunchtime (recommended). In general, I do not recommend booking breakfast in Thailand, as you can often dine better near by for significantly less money. So my entire review is without considering the restaurant. Of particular note: The staff nice and very helpful. I was very grateful by the outstanding service of Chris (from reception), who helped me with a lot of daily things and even with documents I had to prepare for the local authority. Again, thank you for the help! Conclusion: Living in Thailand can be cheaper, but in terms of value for money it is of an unusually high standard and I highly recommend it.

Few things to upgrade”
As hotel is new there are some small gimmicks available\improvements needed. 1) Bathroom mirror lightning is so poor it is almost impossible to shave in front of that 2) When going in shower water sometimes does not go away as quick as required and all floor is in water.. so you just have to stop shower to stop water from going out from bathroom in main room. 3) There are bicycles available for free to use which is a good thing however normal bikes are only 2. If someone already uses 1 or even 2 of them there is basically no option to ride by bicycle. 4) Pool is very nice. Hard to find such nice and long pool on island however beds in water is not a good idea. For example, i swim for 10 minutes and want lie down for a second in sun. My feet are in water all the time, i put them up on bed and still they are wet and bed becomes wet. Maybe somehow this can be improved. Those are only improvement ideas but to summarize hotel was very nice, staff was great, breakfast was good, location ok.

A heaven of peace with amazing view over coconut land”
We loved Varivana very much, the design of the hotel is stunning, the rooms are well designed too with terrasse and an outdoor area at the entrance of each room to leave towels, bags, shoes, luggages. The beds are very comfy. The housekeeping was providing a very good service. The pool is incredible as the pictures speak for themselves, the lighting at night is also amazing. The breakfast is currently served a la carte, with some fruits, juice and one dish to choose from a menu. All was delicious including the coffee. We had a couple of meals for dinner, it was also delicious. The service overall at the restaurant was really good. The owner of the hotel is the sweetest you can ever find and made our stay even better, but she speaks only Thai. However, there is one point to seriously improve and it is the training of the reception team. While the reception staff is not necessary unkind, we did not feel much welcome on our arrival. We had a very long stay of a few weeks and the hotel had a low occupancy. We asked the reception staff to have therefor a very quiet room during our stay. However, they kept assigning rooms next to us or right above us, with sometimes families with babies crying or party people coming in the middle of the night, while there were plenty of empty rooms in the hotel. It really became furstating and prevented us to have a quiet time in the room or in the terrasse. If the hotel has a high occupancy, this is another story. But with a low occupancy and despite the hotel was undergoing some works during the day in some of the blocks, every guest could have their own privacy so easily if the reception staff was using some common sense and some care when assigning the rooms. Also, a few of our requests were forgotten throughout the stay. The reception team needs a serious training on how to assign rooms, take care of guests requests and be service oriented. Must Stay Here!”
As soon as you pull up to reception the building looks stunning and the scenery is beautiful, reception are very welcoming and friendly and the view is great. Rooms are spacious and cosy with lots of facilities. The rooftop pool is out of this world capturing the most amazing sunsets with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. Carol, the lady that works in the bar is one of the nicest and sweetest people i have ever met always going the extra mile with exceptional customer service always smiling and friendly. Would 100% recommend to stay here! I’ve now stayed here 3 times and will definitely be back!

The team went above and beyond to help: again and again. I was stranded on the highway by a rogue taxi driver who was trying to scam me for money. I got in touch with the hotel (this is before Agoda finished processing my order, that means that before even sent my booking through), and the GM came in her car to pick me up from the side of the highway. WOW what wonderful service.

The facilities are amazing, everything is new, modern and minimalist, just look at that infinity pool :). The breakfast is great too. I got ripped off by taxi driver (try to have hotel arrange your pickup) and GM came herself to pick me up after taxi made me get out on side of highway. try not to use hotel bicycles, they are not well maintained

The hotel is stunning with a modern concrete stile design, the location is not on the beach, but if you have a vehicle that's a very comfortable spot to get anywhere on the island. The pool view is mind blowing.

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Varivana Resort Koh Phangan. The staff was so nice and friendly (front desk, breakfast section...). Even though we arrived at the hotel quite late on that day, they were waiting for us with a big smile. Moreover, their breakfast was so so impressive! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
