Only the flies are friendly”
- Staff is for the most part mostly rude and unhelpful. You feel you have to argue to make your fair demands heard (A clean and quiet room? A key that opens your room door? An AirCon that cools instead of warming? How absurd) - Calls itself a Thalasso Spa centre but the thalasso centre was destroyed under complete, refurbishment. Of course they won't this to Agoda or anywhere. Worse. The pneumatic hammers make noise all day and into the evening, next to the pool. How relaxing! - The beach is beautiful however currently contaminated by toxic sargasso sea weeds the hotel won't bother to remove. Result: noxious fumes and clouds of biting flies that will pester you as you try to rest, insect repellent will do nothing. - I finally got upgraded as my door card kept getting demagnetised 7 times (Sorry, make it 6. Once the inept clerk programmed it to the wrong room) making me walk down hundreds of steps and wait long minutes while other guests voiced their issues so reception would reprogram it. Even that upgrade was troublesome, they initially wanted to "upgrade me" to a smaller, noisier room even closer to the pneumatic hammers. When brought up to the front of reception, Rui, he was rude and replied in defensive then aggressive way to the point of nearly getting physical. Absurd. They are lucky I didn't sue. Go somewhere else. They only survive because hapless Norwegians and Danes are chartered directly to the hotel which in turn gives it a "all inclusive cruise ship" garish vibe.

Depois de reservar o hotel no vila Baleira e resort com pequeno almoço mandaram me para outro hotel ( suites) sem pequeno almoço, falei na receção do problema onde dei uma copia fo email da confirmação do hotel Baleira e resort, a resposta que tive foi que era eu a resolver esse problema, mais ainda é que nenhum responsavel veio falar comigo para tentar compreender o problema para que juntos encontrar uma solução para um futuro problema igual não chamo a isto fidelizar um cliente. Desculpem me por estar a ser sincero pela minha estadia convosco pelo desconforto fo problema.

Quiet location, beach reached via a tunnel under road. Bike hire available. Friendly staff. Requested an electric kettle which was provided. On b&b , asked for price of evening meal, says it is €25 incl. wine. As I am a small eater, I declined and ate at a nearby restaurant.
