If you want fill your shoes with Sand & enjoy, Please do visit Arabian Oryx Camp. Good facilities. Food, Safety, Desert life & Cooperative Staff....... We have stayed on my birthday. Surprising Birthday event conducted by my wife with the complete support of the Restaurant Manager & Team with the sweet traditional wish by the musician. They are very cooperative & Surprisingly they haven't charged me for the cake and arrangement. Felt like home.... Thanks.... Samidurai - Muscat.

Fantastic place to discover the desert”
The bungalow has everything you need, air conditioning, mosquito net, large comfortable bed, free coffee in the coffee area, Wi-Fi in the coffee area, large shower, it is meters away from dunes, camels, they have quads, i totally recommend it!

Fantastic location and great service ”
I travelled in December month with kids. Camp is 12 KM far from Wasil. 4x4 not required. It can be easily reachable with normal vehicle upto the camp only. Location is very very nice. Camp staff is very friendly. Dinner was good but nothing nothing much in breakfast for vegetarians. Better to talk with kitchen people during dinner time to prepare VEG food during breakfast. Don’t forget Sand dunes activities and desert biking. I’ll suggest my friends to stay here.

Very nice rooms. Friendly staff. Good food. However the optional activities are quite expensive.

Excellent”
We stayed at the tents which are a 2-minute drive uphill with a 4WD from the base camp. We did not know that our reservation was like this! But it turned out to be a pleasant surprise, as sunset and sunrise from there is way much nicer than from the base camp. We enjoyed the walk on cool sand dunes at dawn. However, the tents become really hot (it was late Oct) starting 9:00 AM! So one better have a preset program for the rest of the day if staying in those tents (they're not air-conditioned obviously).

Nice place to stay in the Wahiba Sands but definitely not luxury in any way”
We came to the camp at 3 for a 1 night stay in a family suite. Check in was seamless since we had already prepaid and were offered activities to do. Lots to do including dune bashing, camel rides, sand boarding among others - all priced reasonably. The room itself was fine, definitely dated and pretty sparse. Showers had limited hot water and while technically clean, weren’t very nice. Buffet dinner and breakfast was included and again were totally fine but nothing special. After dinner music from a band was very nice. No alcohol available - if you want, you need to bring. Over all I’d give it 3/5 stars, it’s a great value but know that it’s not going to blow your socks off.

A lot of sand around, but what else to expect in the desert”
The location of the camp was easier to find than expected. A bit misleading was the fact, that we didn´t stay in the camp itself, but nearby on a hill in a circle of tents. However, we liked the place. The only thing we missed was the culture show promised by the webpage. Even when I asked for it, we didn´t get proper information on that. Another thing is the campfire. After dinner a bit of wood was placed in the fireplace, but unfortunatley it burned down quite fast, so we couldn´t enjoy it as long as we would have liked. Overall the stay was nice, with a few minor minus points.

Everything was good. They could improve to serve the food hotter and prompt. They informed that they will act on it.

The chalets are really nice but the tents are quite cold at night. Food is good Staff is nice Rooms are clean It‘s difficult to find, which is why we recommend to ask around as soon as you get to the village.

Very good”
My second time here. The good thing here is if you want to have a cozy stay and not so much like a Bedouin then it's a good option. Dinner is good and you can have many activities, dune bashing for sunset or sunrise is a must. Other activities, camel riding, sand surfing, are nice as well.

Great camp, full of activities and with the real oryx!”
This is a great camp, easy to get to and full of interesting activities. An amazing adventure for families! The food was excellent and the staff very helpful. They even host 2 Arabian oryxes. We tried dune bashing, sunset camel ride (quite challenging with a small child), beduin house visit and sand surfing and they were all great fun.

Amazing Stay in the Desert”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Arabian Oryx Camp. The pickup was on time, the food was great, the "tent" was perfect, the ride through the dunes was a lot of fun, and most of all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I hope to go back and take my family!

a wonderful experience under the stars”
We had a great time at the arabian oryx.. I personally liked the cleanliness and neatness maintained at the rooms... we had a beautiful sunset and dune bashing experience. ..thanks to our expert driver the only sour experience was that the manager at the reception was rude and I found it very distateful. He should improve his interpersonal skills....we felt very sad that we were not given the warmth that we would expect in this place.

Excellent”
We have been to Arabian Oryx several times and have not been disappointed so far. Part of the premises has been upgraded recently and the new luxury accommodation is more spacious and great for families - I would consider the additional investment. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is plenty and of sufficient variety and quality. The indoor and outdoor majilis' are clean and great for spending time with family/friends after dinner. Prices for additional recreational activities are high - a little bit of planning/bringing your own gear goes a long way.
