Great”
The Aranvert Hotel provides a very pleasant stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have nice extra features such as a washing line in the bathroom. The hotel is only a short walk from Kyoto station and is easily found as it is just one turning off the main road leading from the station. The restaurant is convenient, provides good food, and has pleasant staff. One slight issue was the lack of WiFi meaning that despite offering free internet access, I was not actually able to gain internet access as I only had a smart phone with me. However I'm sure the internet would be fine for netbooks and the like with ethernet ports. There was also an issue in my case with copies of the required documents not getting through to the hotel despite having sent them but that said, the staff coped very well and did not cause me any problems because of it. All in all, a very nice place to stay. Centrally located and great for tourists such as myself.
Clean, comfortable, quiet and good value”
My family of three stayed here for two days mid-week. Our room and the hotel generally was very clean. Despite overlooking the main road our room was nearly dead quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location, being close to a subway station, was convenient. It was, in fact, easily possible to walk to the main station in about 15 minutes. Because we stayed mid-week our room rate was much reduced. Considering the quality of our room and of the hotel generally, our stay was really good value. We would definitely stay in the Aranvert hotel again should we ever return to Kyoto.
"We would definitely stay in the Aranvert hotel again should we ever return to Kyoto." It is very appreciated. Have you enjoyed your family trip? The road called Gojo-dori facing the hotel is the main road, but since around here is the office town, the night is very calm. Kyoto main street "Kyoto station" and "Shijo station" is also 10 minutes to 15 minutes on foot and 1 station on the subway is convenient. If you have a chance again, please stay over. We look forward to.
Great location, peaceful rest”
The Aranvert Hotel was all one could want in clean, quiet, convenient accommodation. It's located close to the Karasuma subway line and a short walk from Kyoto station, has a fantastic Japanese bath and very large and varied breakfast buffet. I was happy to find that despite being such a large hotel, that it was very quiet and that I was able to control the heat myself, not something I found in other Japanese business hotels.
Well located with Good Amenities”
This hotel makes for a perfect home base for all of your Kyoto sightseeing. There's so much to do in Kyoto and you'll likely want to get an early start as the trips on the buses and subway all eat into your time while you are there. The Aranvert is only 1 subway stop away from Kyoto Station, which is a convenient starting point to catch a bus to see temples and shrines in the area. Otherwise, it is located on the Karasuma line, which you can easily take northbound to reach other destinations. After a long day of sightseeing, you can enjoy the public bath. Also, there is a pay for washer and dryer (although the dryer does not dry very well) and apparently there's a long happy hour with 200 yen Sapporo draft beer. This makes for a great place to kick up your tired feet and get a good night's rest.
During Hanami”
Aranvert is a big and beautiful hotel with about ten minutes walking from Kyoto station. The staff talks english quite good. The room was at the seventh floor and gave us a wonderful view. The breakfast hade both westernfood and a japanese styled breakfast. Though it was expensive it was delicious. I think we were quite problematic guests because we wanted to extend the stay with one night but they couldnt do that on the hotel for the same price as before so I hade to go to fix it on a internetcafé around 500meters away. But there I of mistake booked wrong days and made the staff really working. When we figured that was the case I just went back to the internetcafé contacted agoda staff and solved it. But the staff on the hotel really did what they could to solve it too.
Great place”
Aranvert is a great hotel. There's Gojo station one block away and it is 2 station away away from Kyoto Station. It is not walkable from Kyoto station to the hotel. Room were nice and clean. They provide full bottle hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner. We loved the soap. Staff were helpful. Would come back again!
Dear Thanh, Thank you for staying in our hotel and the great review. It is greatful to know that you seemed to enjoy your stay in our hotel. As you wrote, we recommend to take subway to come to the hotel because it is a little far from kyoto station to walk with some large luggages, though it takes 15-20mins if you walk without them. We are happy that you liked our amenities and we hope you could feel like as your home. Our all staff are looking forward to welcoming you again! Sincerely, Shiho Mizuno Reception
Great Position”
First impressions were great as the foyer is beautifully appointed. Staff at the Hotel Aranvert, Kyoto were not only extremely attentive and helpful but gave us clear directions and provided us with maps to assist us plan our day! They willingly called a taxi on our departure, helped us with our luggage which they had efficiently stored for us when we checked out earlier in the day. We were very impressed with their ability to communicate with us in English! A very pleasant stay indeed and we would return there and recommend it to others.
Aranvert Review”
The Aranvert Hotel was clean, roomy, and close to the train station. The hotel staff spoke English and were very helpful, they provided us with umbrellas and helped us to rent bikes. The hotel lobby was nice and they had a restaurant on the second floor. The hotel was located near many local sites, temples, and gardens.
My 3rd stay here. ”
This was my 3rd time staying at the Aranvert Hotel in Kyoto. The main reasons I stayed here were for the price, the location, and the service.
I thank you for agoda fr having my reservation in ”
All the staff is this hotel are so helpful,,and the public bath of this hotel makes me so comfortable, and the restaurants have a very good chef cause there food are so very good.i never eat out side and i ll do have all my breakfast and dinner in aranvert hotel....
Exceptional”
Aranvert Hotel has a great location, has parking, and the rooms were a good size. As an American living in Japan for work, it is difficult to get used to the very firm beds. My overall experience was excellent!
Kyoto Aranvert: Helpful staff, Good location”
The best feature of the Aranvert was value for the money, through Agoda. The features of this hotel probably put it in the high 3-star/low 4-star range, and yet we paid less than $270 for 3 nights (2 people) in downtown Kyoto. Because we needed a private bathroom and quick access to other downtown spots, the Aranvert turned out to be ideal for us. The front desk staff bent over backwards to give us what we needed, from an ethernet cable to an electricity converter, to an ironing board. (The iron and ironing board, unfortunately, were broken--but they did try.)
Much better than expected”
The hotel is clean, nice and quite classy. Our double bed room is big with lots of space, and extremely clean. Hotel staffs are very friendly, helpful and attentive. It is not very close to major train stations or tourist area. However subway station is just next door and there are many bus stops around, it is easier to assess than I expected, and the quality of the hotel is definitely worth it. The japanese style public bath on the top floor was a nice surprise, I went up there every night during my 3-night stay. I stayed on the 12th floor and could see most of Kyoto from my window. The only trouble was my wife and I were so happy that we asked for 1 night extension but the price was much higher than what we got online.
Good~”
I stayed there for one night. It is located near Kyoto Station. If you enjoy walking just walk to the hotel. It took about 15 min. Or you can take the subway just for 1 stop. The room was nice and the beds are comfortable and the best thing is the public bath tub on the 13th floor. You can take a bath looking at the Kyoto Tower. There were nice and resonable priced restaurants around the hotel. :)
Dear Madame/Mr.EUN, Thank you for your staying at our hotel. We are relieved that you enjoyed it. As you wrote, our hotel is in good location, center of Kyoto. It is very convenient to visit many popular tourism spots by bus and train. We hope you could see a lot of beautiful temples, nature and traditional views. We also hope that you could be relaxed with our public bath. If you have an opportunity to come back to Kyoto, it would be grateful to welcome you again. Again, we appreciate your staying and kind comments. Sincerely, Shiho Mizuno Reception
Nice hotel, good breakfast, nice public bath”
this was a nice hotel very conveniently located near a metro station and not too far from kyoto station. the room was decent sized and the en suite bathroom had a decent amount of counter space for japan. the also had a nice public bath on on upper floor. the ac worked well and the room did not smell of smoke. we also really liked the great buffet breakfast. it was about $20 with the conversion, but very worth the price for what you got. i am a vegetarian and there were plenty of options. also, it was my niece's first trip to japan, so it was a good mix of eastern and western food. the internet required a cable but worked well. also, we showed up a day late due to flight problems and the held our reservation (we had prepaid for multiple days).
Great Place”
This place was very very clean and seemed like a new place. The room size was very good and the place was kept well. The staff was very friendly and probably the best of my entire trip to Japan. They were very helpful, spoke great english and seemed to really care. The hotel is in a good location, but it is a 20 minute walk from the main Kyoto station. It's not a bad walk, but still it is a little further. You can take a local subway line, but it costs additional money because it is not part of the JR system (if you get the rail pass - which i reccomend). But you can access a lot of different areas from the hotel, you just have to walk 15 - 20 minutes or catch a bus/subway etc. It is in a safe and very nice location though; just not where the action is. To be honest i don't think the location should be a drawback to you booking the hotel. You can still get to everywhere quickly with subway/bus.
wished i could have stayed longer”
I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Kyoto. The hotel staff was very polite, the room was clean and a good size compared to other Japanese hotel rooms. I was in a semi double non-smoking room. There is a public bath on the top floor that was wonderful! The restaurant in the hotel was nothing special but the food and service was decent. The hotel is on a major road and in walking distance from a subway station. My only compliant was that there was no computer in the lobby, although they did provide internet access in your room if you brought your own laptop.
Aranvert Hotel Kyoto”
I booked this hotel last minute from Agoda based on reviews and was quite pleased. We were able to find it easily from Gojo metro station (north west exit, walk left a few blocks). We only has a half a day in Kyoto and the staff helped us decide where to best spend our time and how to get there. The coin-op laundry is also a big plus (although we got lazy and didn't end up using it).
nice hotel”
i was looking for a nice hotel with good price, overall i was very satisfied staying here, nice location, near restaurants, near subway station. I would definitely stay here again the next time i go to kyoto, i recommended this hotel to my friends as well. very accessible, near bus stops and main train station. helpful staff as well.
Elegant and romantic european hotel”
Enterring the portico with a few small tables, the marble decoration lobby is very impressive and the receptionists are very professional. Love the fact that the hotel provides a very stylish yukata and warmer for me put on, but I have no much time. The hotel is located along the Go-jo, it will be about 15 to 20 minutes walk from the Kyoto station. It is probably not a common impression of Kyoto, but it is definitely providing good staying experience.
