Excellent staff and good value!”

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Arcadia Village Motel for 3 nights. So, I will say that the rooms are nothing super special..but they are comfortable and it was good value. The property includes a cafe (very good), a restaurant (meh), and pub (double meh). The room was definitely comfortable and we had no problems during our stay. So why the excellent rating? Because of the very helpful lady at the front desk whose name I have forgotten! I believe she had a German accent, but she was so friendly and accommodating on our arrival. She gave us a detailed description of the island and the nearby attractions and allowed us to check in early, although we were about 4 or 5 hours early! This was a big deal for us as we had already been traveling for 4 weeks, we were burning out, and running on very little sleep. It was so kind of her to do that and it was truly appreciated! And then, my girlfriend gets an ear infection. She makes her an appointment at the local health clinic and gives us directions! So very kind. Overall, I definitely recommend staying at the Arcadia Village Motel for good value and the accommodating staff. If you just want an affordable, comfortable place to stay, this is your place. Special note: it’s a 5 minute walk from the property to go check out the wallabies! But make sure you only go at sunrise or sunset, as they like to hide during the day.

Arcadia in June 2018”

Our fifth time in six years on Magnetic Is for a week of total relaxation. As it coincided with school holidays we were restricted in accomodation options. The Arcadia Village proved to be a real find. The room was great (we chose upstairs with view of Geofrey Bay), the staff were friendly ,professional, and always helpful when required. There is a pub attached, a nice casual coffee shop/restaurant, a bus stop and a couple of shops, including a news agency, plus it's only a two minute walk to the beach and a park with play areas for children. All in all typical of Magnetic, one of Australia's best holiday destinations.

Lovely stay”

After reading previous reviews I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Its basic in terms of hotels but then its a motel - it was clean and the linen was immaculate (something criticised on some posts on Trip advisor). I booked a family room and it had a large queen bed (maybe king not sure) plus a couple single beds. There was tea/coffee making facilities, a fridge and a toaster. Very clean bathroom and towels. There was a good size balcony with table and chairs. Couldn't fault the accommodation.

We had a great time the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The pools were very clean and the grounds well maintained. Terrific place to just relax. Just a short bus ride to any place on the island. Great choices for food within the village.

Great value Motel”

This place is exactly like the photos. Good size room, comfy bed, very clean, pool right outside the door .Beside the Pub, that has good value meals, entertainment. In the middle of the island, over the road are the rock wallabies, I would recommend this place highly.

Excellent location & staff. This is the 2nd time we have booked it this year & we made sure it's the same motel! (please refer to my review for our first stay a few months ago)

The Customer Service was excellent, I arrived on the island late at night and was given some snacks to get me through! Location is awesome definitely paradise.

motel was in need of an update, pool not working but was able to utilize the pool at the pub next door, no inconvenience. room was very old and outdated but clean and comfortable.

fine for a couple of nights”

this motel is not cheap, but very well located next to the best swimming beach. It's attached to a pub which does very basic pub meals and there is a little bit of noise bleed to the room but it's not too bad. I never saw any staff once I checked in but I'm sure if I had needed something I could have found someone. Easy walk to the bus stop, beaches and a small shop and cafe.

We arrived late thurs, check in remained open until 10pm so we could check in, then my partner was finishing a dive course on our check out day, I went to check out at 10am and was told I could keep the room until the dive course finished at 330pm Great service

Very helpful manager who would do anything for you to make your stay an enjoyable one.. Great location next door to hotel and across from beautiful Alma Bay swimming beach.

Great Location”

Travelled back in August (first time stay). Most enjoyable and comfortable stay. Very convenient to food, entertainment and just 5 mins walk to a great beach. Have just booked again now (October) for a few days. Really friendly management. Thanks to Iva and family!

A great place to stay. Very friendly couple, Iva and Russell. They could not do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Great free wifi is a real bonus. We would definitely stay there again.

Should Rate Better”

Okay. The room was nice. The food venues were less than average. The free internet is 30 minutes per stay in a public area or it costs $20 per 5 hours. The rooms are only services every 3 days. Reception is snippy. Bartenders are great. Our room door was opened in the middle of the night by the owner who said he was trying to help a woman with an issue. Creepy.
