Located in Vienna’s 7th district, Arcotel Wimberger has been a part of Vienna since 1871. The hotel’s central location provides easy access to the art and cultural areas of the city. Vienna’s main shopping and entertainment boulevards such as the Mariahilfer Straße, the Wiener Stadthalle, the city’s concert venue, numerous galleries, and boutiques are also in close proximity. The hotel also features a total of 225 rooms. At Arcotel Wimberger, guest will also be able to enjoy facilities such as massage treatments, a sauna, and a gym. The new Handwerk Restaurant opened in September 2017 serves up contemporary lifestyle with a cosmopolitan touch. The Joe’s Bar is a colonial-styled venue which also serves a variety of specialties. Arcotel Wimberger is ideal for easy access to several museum quarters, restaurants, and pubs.

Room is big and good breakfast”
Good location, 5 mins walk to the subway station from the hotel and there’s groceries shop just 2-3 shops away in the same row. The breakfast spread is fantastic and food is good, you can even make your own waffles. Room is big but quite dark. I booked a double room but was given 2 separate single beds. When I checked with the reception, I was told that the whole hotel only has twin sharing rooms. I was asked to combine the 2 single beds myself to make it into ‘double bed’. The bath shower is good though, the water strength and the temperature of the heater doesn’t fluctuate. Hotel parking is very expensive, 21 euro per night, but I think that’s the average price for Europe hotel garage parking. Hotel is a bit old but given the location, room size and breakfast spread, it is value for money.
very traditionel Hotel in Vienna”
Hotel staff are very nice and friendly helpful, the room i stayed was newly renovated but nothing special at all, very basic furniture ...... but i stay in Wimberger Hotel in Vienna because it is very welcoming.
WAS ON VACATION,GREAT BREAKFAST,WORTH THE MONEY
Good value, good facility”
Great breakfast, nice and comfort room. Clean and good facility
Classy and attentive staffs. Interior is very modern. Bed and pillows are very relaxing. The room is so nice you want to spend the whole day in your room.
Good biz hotel near Schonbrunn”
I stayed here for a conference and nothing to complain. Remember to ask for the newer rooms. I was initially put in an old dusty room at the end of a corridor and I asked to change as I did not feel "good" in that room - it is in a too quiet old part of the hotel and did not look like the picture in the site when I booked it. I felt that the potential for midnight visitor could be high. The new room they put me in was much better and on the top floor where I had a nice view of the main street. The room was clean and the bed comfy although it was old (the bathroom had this red light..)The hotel provides very good food especially the breakfast buffet - the bread spread was just amazing. Europeans make the best bread I must say. It's the usual fare at the buffet but at least the food was good. Location is amazing as it is near Westbanhof station (a main station) that you can catch a tram or a bus from. If you're buying a Vienna Pass, the yellow line bus picks up from Westbanhof too.
Nice hotel near Westbahnhof station”
Lovely foyer. Bar really well priced. Large rooms. Spa facilities looked lovely but were out of order. Hotel should provide more info to tourists. Popular with large tourist groups. Staff all very friendly.
Good Location but Complicated Options”
First day, receptionist told me that minibar outside fridge is free repeatedly (just a snack and nut). Last day when check out, another staff informed that it depends on type of room and my room didn't include. Finally I've to pay very expensive snacks. It'd be nice if you have the free tag on the free minibar, because i found out you have several options on several types of room. (I stayed 2 types)
in the walking distant to West Bahnhof . Mariahilfstrasse and Stadthalle . Great Breakfast . extremely nice staff Room very good . free minibar . nice cosy spa .hotel has it's own parking . we will stay again here if we get a good deal again .
the extremely friendly staff is the best asset of this hotel. otherwise it has no personality. it's really very correct and clean and the rooms are spacious. but i found it too expensive for it's blandness. the breakfast room was very gloomy.location is problematic as it is in between two metro stations.i couldn't decide which station is best to get off at when it was raining. and so i cursed.
Although slightly far from the city centre, the hotel is very well connected to public transport and only a few stops away from the centre. The stuff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel had great facilities - in particular, the spa that was available to all guests. But the highlight of this hotel is its breakfast, most probably the best I've had - so much diversity and good quality. I would gladly stay here again.
impolite front desk and poor service”
After check-in the room, I followed the instruction placed inside the room to log-in the free wifi service provided by the hotel but not succeeded. After many trials I then called the front desk for assistance. A cool voice respond was received requesting me going to the front desk for user account with password. I did not understand why the front desk staff did not simply give/explain to me at check-in. Later it was found that the air-conditioner did not work inside the room: only hot air came out despite the temperature control was set to zero degree at the advice of the front desk. After several calls, a man came to check and simply said it could not be fixed because the outside temperature was not warm enough. He then suggested to keep the window open during the whole night despite the fact that outside the window is a main street with disturbing noises from running cars. Staying in this so-called 4-star hotel was a nightmare!
I really enjoyed my stay in the Arcotel. The Reception Staff were so kind and helpful at all times whether I was asking about places to dine or for directions in the U-Bahn. The breakfast was brilliant and everything was so well organised in the dining room. The location was perfect as the U-Bahn was just across the street and Mariahilfer Strasse is just about 5 minutes from the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly stay there again on my return visit.
Nice spa area”
Well located, Close to City Center, spa is nice.
Everything was just enough. I liked to stay.
it was really good to stay
Very pleasant & clean ”
Breakfast was brilliant! A great variety of food & good coffee & polite staff.
great value for money
Was very noisy, the room didn't have a fridge, the safe seemed very insecure (it used the room key card, which the hotel staff have access to, rather than a numeric code), the wifi didn't work and housekeeping did not restock the shampoo.
Good value for money”
My partner and I stayed at the Arcotel Wimberger for 4 nights over the Christmas period. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location. It is about 5 mins walk from Westbahnhof station - we caught a direct bus from the airport to the station when we arrived. It is also located close to Mariahilfer Straße. In regards to all other attractions (walking) - 20 mins to Museum Quartier, 34 mins to St Stephens Cathedral, 40 mins to Schonnbrunn Palace. Would stay again.
