Would you recommend Arenaa Mountbatten Boutique Hotel to a friend?”
To answer the above, I have been sharing my previous pleasant experiences to many colleagues and friends hoping that they will enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay if they choose to visit your establishment. Definitely hope that there will be consistency in providing decent service to all your guests, as we would hate to hear otherwise from anyone we may recommend your hotel to.

Finally, you want o know how terrible it is?”
Value for money/ Cleanliness- so I pay for double deluxe, and I shud get just that right? but I expect the room to not smell (like # 204 and 103) or to be have broken facilities with wires jutting out and so on (like room # 105). When i asked for a table so i can work, even this (which is available in # 305) is not available in the other deluxe rooms. Location- clearly it is accessible although many times drivers have to actually pass by it to notice it and then take another full turn to park closer to the location, as it is along the main road. Staff- the cleaner, the receptionist and even the manager (who i spoke with twice, during escalations) were proper service personnel, unlike the new supervisor who needs a check on proper customer service skills, let alone handling customer complaints. Facilities- the WiFi has always been non-existent, and of course, not all rooms have the basics as we would expect, if you are lucky, sometimes you get the ones with the bad smell- something like urine.

Worst awful staycation ever.”
PAID room in ADVANCE but was fully occupied when we arrived, though was told in advanced that we;ll be reaching late midnight. Yes by policy but with PAID rooms, you got to follow by procedures (e.g. calls / email etc) to confirm of arrival from guest then to proceed to sell-out the unoccupied rooms, understand? I was there was my marathon whereas my fiancee waiting about 5-6 hours then was given an extra room. Besides, i lose my garments, attires just by a day from 1 room to another room, (as a housekeeper, when you are clearing rooms? any left behind or "special" stuffs, you are to report to front desk to check if the particular guest has either check-out, transfer room or to call whether the guest to collect the particular stuff or not, rather than keep it and say YOU see nothing), i was in the same line and i know those "tricks". Afterall, our time at KL are definitely good but worst ever hotel / room / services etc. definitely NOT recommended to anyone else! (though it is a BOUTIQUE hotel but honestly, i do prefers boutique hotels not cause of affordable yet cause of the different ambience & experience yet this one really pull me down, WORST Arenaa Mountbatten Hotel. Thank you.

Strategic location”
We were there for Standard Chartered run, the location is good but if you are a light sleeper the sound of train will bother you and the cleanliness of the bathroom is poor

So much potential . . .”
I love finding smaller, boutique-style properties with character when given the choice. As I knew this weekend was going to be a rainy one, I opted for a hotel without an outdoor pool, and I needed something in the area for an Ingress event I was participating in. Rather than stay in Reggae Mansion, I chose this property instead, booking the Junior Suite for my stay. I was happy with the location, room & price, based on the pics. It was quite the letdown. There is no set parking for the property, so you are on your own for that. And no one to help with bags AFAIK (although I didn't need it). The general area is a bit on the dodgy side - there was a homeless, mentally ill person outside of the property yelling/shouting virtually my entire stay, which the desk staff apologized for but otherwise shrugged off. Also, I saw 2 different snatch-grab robberies in my 3 days there, so I'd take precautions walking around. As I was heading up to my room, I can say I liked the hallways, etc. and was looking forward to the stay. But my room itself - supposedly one of the nicest - was a bit of a shock. There was a broken window (as in looked like it had been punched out from the inside). The panel TV didn't work properly, and I had to adjust it myself to the best of my ability to get any channels at all (as in physically take it down, adjust the connections, remote-run a full scan, etc. - even then to get messages that the signals were basically pirated)) Only about 1/2 the accent lights worked. The room was obviously old - I am sure it was nice when it was newer - but not thoroughly cleaned properly. Drawers were stuck/locked in place from humidity, and when I moved things around a bit it was obvious that people clean around things instead of moving them to clean properly. My biggest complaint was with the tub (although the shower was fine!) - I don't have a long bath in my apartment, so this was THE selling point for me - the jacuzzi long tub. But although there is water, the
