A memorable stay”

Very clean, cozy and good for money

I checked into Arenaa Star on the 21st October and stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very pleasant stay. First and foremost after putting down my luggage, I ventured to the hotel's open air restaurant located on the Mezzanine floor. The seafood olio oglio I ordered was good. I also tried grilled chicken and lamb chop on subsequent days and they are all ridiculously cheap yet extremely tasty. Wow! The friendly and courteous staffs made the ambience all the more better. When it comes to the accomodation, I must say that it has the coziest bed and pillows for you to rest after a long walk tour around KL which you can easiy access via the LRT and is just a walking distance from Chinatown. Not to mention the big and modern bathroom, flat wide screen tv and various themes that represents each floor. For example the 1st Floor represents the Malaysian stars thus you will see the portraits of the local entertainers painted on the wall along the hallways to every hotel room. Not to mention the Hollywood, Bollywood, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea etc. You might have a pleasant surprise to see that one of them happens to be your favourite! So in conclusion, Arenaa Stars lives up to its name and is very recommendable for the budget value and comfort.

Surprisingly is a great hotel”

Clean, comfy and cosy room, good WiFi, nice breakfast

Very surprising with Arenaa Star Hotel. From outlook doesn't think it is nice hotel. Once open up the door, voila!. As very nice and clean room. Bed is comfy. Quiet as well. Room with a lot of accessories and amenities (ironing board, hair dryer, sewn kit). WiFi is with great speed and coverage. Shower experience is Power Rain Shower. Breakfast is hearty as well with choice of salad, fruit, American styles with omelette, ham, potatoes, with some Asian delights. Everything is good except some minus point which is need periodic maintenance on wear & tear parts and the only thing that I don't like is the room is not bright enough (Superior no window)

Arenaa Star was a comfortable hotel to stay with”

Nice breakfast, Clean Room, New Building

I and 2 of my co-workers came to KL for a convention and we wanted to stay near the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center but we are on a budget. Hotels right in front of the Petronas Towers are super pricey, so we have to look in a range of 2 km., so the venue can be just a walk away. My Hotel Requirement was: 1. It should be affordable. 2. At most 2km away from Petronas Tower and transportation should be near. Masjid Jamek Station is just 2 blocks away from the hotel. 3. It should have breakfast. 4. WiFi. Although the single-user per room was a sucker, the internet was fast and we just shared the internet through bluetooth tethering, so not a big deal. One nice thing also, is that the KL Tower is visible from the window.

Design Service Location

Overall me and my fiance' are happy with the room. The design is funky and sexy but maybe the hotel is new so no one really know where the hotel is located. but if you are not in a rush or anything Arenaa Star Luxury Hotel is a good one to stay just close to china town and other shopping mall. The most important thing is that the hotel staff is willing to help you all the time.

My comment for the room.”

My experience with the hotel Arenaa is very satisfied... Location is strategic to shopping complex and the food stalls... The interior of the room is cozy and spacious.. In overall it is recommended to stay for holiday or business...(value for money) If I would like to comment about the external surrounding of the Hotel , I find that many homeless people likes to sleep close near to the hotel... I was wondering if the management will be able to clear off the external situation, so that we would not feel the sense of fear , while walking around the hotel complex.. Thanks and regards, Johan Suhermin

Cosy, peaceful and affordable 👍”

Service from Hotel Manager, room size and location 👍

It was our first time in KL! We're glad we chose Arenaa Star to be part of our mini honeymoon! The hotel ambience was great! Coming from a couple who stayed in the Honeymoon suite, it could easily pass off as a boutique hotel :) location was great as it's just 10mins walk frm Masjid Jamek Train station(it was silly of us to take the cab at first, hehehe...) although it's near a lot of amenities, I like how the area surrounding was peaceful, the homeless people never bothered us at all. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as much as we enjoyed ourselves at the next hotel which was a 5-star during the same trip! So that's really a big deal! And they have loads of street food on Friday at the train station for the Friday prayer crowd! I would definitely go there again, in shaa Allah :)

Clean, simple, pleasant”

Attentive staff, nice lobby, fast check in and check out

Plus points : Staff were really friendly and courteous, especially the concierge guy (tall and thin, I forgot to look out for his name). He was so humble and courteous from the moment we checked in till we boarded our coach back to the airport… thumbs up!!! Rooms were really very well-decorated and designed. Modern hotel indeed…. And my friend booked the Talent Suite.. very nice room for honey-mooners I believe cos there’s a bathtub nearby the bed!!!! Not suitable for children though… cos mine thought it was a baby pool!!! We chose Arenaa Star Luxury Hotel as it was the only hotel near Chinatown which had a swimming pool. However, we realised it was not very near Chinatown. Arenaa Mountbatten seems nearer. We lost our way somehow and some had to take cab back. The swimming pool was a real disappointment. Only about twice the size of a bathroom bathtub. It was dirty and under maintenance when we went up in the morning. My kids were really disappointed and we could have chosen other boutique hotels if not for the swimming pool! We took up the family room which wasn’t really kids friendly. The extra bed at the side had movable platforms and we had bruises all over from knocking into the edges. Moreover, there were 3 adults and the bathroom door couldn’t be locked!!! Not very nice if you have 3 adults in the room. Breakfast was so so….. upset they didn’t have the usual cornflakes/cereals which the kids will have wanted. No egg station either. Only scrambled eggs in one of the trays. However, quite a number of Asian dishes such as mee goring, curry chicken etc. They also had a separate section with Indian food such as Chappati, curry etc which were rather tasty!!! Could have been to a better hotel in Bukit Bintang for the amount spent if not because of our short stay and our desire to be near Chinatown (which wasn’t near at all)

GOOD STAY”

Hotel was walk-able to LRT Jameek, Mydin Market, Dataran Merdeka, Petaling Street, KL Art Market. Staffs was very helpful, Internet was good and quite fast, Room comes with hot shower + refrigerator + air conditioning + tv cable. If you're looking for a "night" snacks, there's a lot of food stalls around jameek/chinatown which open till late night. (-) there's 2 option for breakfast (tower 1 or 2, side by side), the breakfast items so far good but taste could be improve (sometime salty). (-) better to book the room with window to get spacious feelings. (-) many "homeless" on street at night, actually not harmful, but too risky if you're traveling with kids.

Honeymoon Suite!!!”

Honeymoon Suite, Nearby Restaurant, Location

Nice :) Got a great deal on the honeymoon suite (we weren't honeymooning) & it was great. Spa bath right next to the comfortable bed, modern room, bathroom, etc. Some of the staff were a bit seedy looking, particularly the ones the came late at night to provide a plug for the spa, but otherwise all good. Good location, 5 minutes walk from the nearest rail & from there everything is accessible. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of it, but there is a restaurant very close by (I think - exit the hotel & walk left, cross the road & you are there maybe). It looks like a classic diner. They had a huge amount of meal choices at excellent prices & the meals were great. Good environment morning, lunch & at night, especially if someone is playing. Would stay again if I could get a similar deal.

The hotel experienced something new in their premises and let me learn more into details of how a hotel can face in sequence of events. Due to some incidents that is unforeseen. there is a free upgrade due to the mishaps as i booked again in this hotel. The hotel is very near to the chinatown that have many products to buy. Had and wonderfull stay”

The room was fantastic the Honeymoon suite, staff friendly and nice deco in the room

The was nice stay in this hotel with my wife for our 1st annivesary...the honeymoon suites its marvelous with the big bath tub next to ur bed.. Its was a nice n clean room. There is two things i dont like bout the hotel.. 1st if u r driving to the hotel for sure the parking is limited n the place for parking seem like dangerous. 2nd Is i ask the concierge about wanna arrange a taxi for my wife at early morning then next day for her meeting he just said no need to booked just come down early n will manage get the taxi. When come to the day my wife waited nearly 20 min for the taxi at near the hotel but unable to get a single taxi n went back to the reception ask them to call for the taxi... A simple stupid answer he repliedId jejaka nak tu" sorry mam, we dont have any taxi fon number" , the worst respon she get early in the morning.. Without arguement she walk nearly about 500 meter to get a taxi n she was arrived late due to the wrong info given by the conciege.. Even she came down at 6:30 am since the meeting. Only at 8:30am for nearly 2 hours she trying to get the taxi n go for her meeting.. If u all wanted easy way to get taxi in kl DOWNLOAD "my taxi" into ur android or iphone for faster service n respon and dont trust at the concierge since they sometimes give u a wrong info.. Overall the room n the hotel is clean n really nice to stay

Overall enjoyable stay”

Staffs were friendly and helpful. Quiet surroundings.

I was extremely excited when i know that this hotel was a theme based hotel which consist of rooms that is from different country (though i only realise when i was in the lift through the signage). The first thing i stepped into the hotel room (honeymoon suite) were good. But when i walk around to check the area, i found ants around the window area, the corner of the bed near the window were wet (it was raining) which i don't really understand why when the windows were all sealed tight. The jaccuzzi and bathroom was clean and working well. They even provide ironing board in the room for usage (without iron). But overall the service and room was good. Staffs over at the reception, bistro, and front door were polite and friendly. They even helped to grab a taxi for us when their apps were down that day. I would most likely go back to the hotel when i visit kuala lumpur again.

Nice stay but improve on food, environment and gym”

room

It was a pleasant stay and the staffs are very helpful and hardworking. The only down side would be the food, gym room and environment. The food variety is limited, and nothing fantastic. Went to the gym room but some of the equipments are damaged. As for the environment, 90% operated by Indians and instead of some Hollywood related musics, they play indian music. No discrimination here but Arenaa Star with Hollywood modern interior should combine with Hollywood related musics and not Bollywood.

Grandeur room decoration”

rainshower, cheap, different

Perhaps I am easily frightened, and we arrived at night, being allocated a room with dark walls and furniture without sufficient bright lighting with a phone that kept making a weird noise "perk" every minute frightened me so much I couldn't sleep well. Though the room was dark, the golden shiny bird wallpaper, regal purple curtains were a really nice touch to the room. Road to car park at back of hotel is not a proper road, a lot of holes. The car park is very small, at most 7 vehicles, and filled with construction materials. Walked back to hotel thru the exit within the car park (stairs), upon exit, don't use the lift there to hotel room, have to walk out of the place back to hotel lobby. Location wise, walking distance to little india and Chinatown. But the way there quite quiet, even when 8pm plus 9pm. Many of the homeless sleep around the area (guess it's quieter at this area) Overall it is still value for money, and I think the concept taken on by the hotel is very interesting.
