        FANTASTIC”

Amazing time, great location & the wonderful staff

We had a LOVELY time in Ariston, mainly due to the following factors: (1) Its location (2) the staff (Sophia & Martina) (3) the room Located a stone's throw from Station Larissis is this beautiful hotel at an affordable price. Easy to find. When you exit the subway station, just look around you and u will see it. It is a corner unit. Being away from the touristy part of Athens meant that it was quiet and being close to the subway station meant that we could get to any place we wanted to conveniently. Approximately 3-4 stops to Monastiraki and Syntagma. There isn't a lot going on in this part of town, but you can find a Carrefour opposite the hotel (abt 3 minutes walk) and bakeries near by. The National Archeological Musuem is about a 10 minute walk straight down the road beside Ariston- which makes this hotel a great place to stay for your first day in Athens. We didn't find it to be noisy. Some noise from traffic was there of course, but they were faint as the rooms had very solid proofing. Hotel is abt an hour from the airport by subway, and about 40 mins by cab. The staff at the reception were wonderful- in particular Sophia and Martina, who were so incredibly warm and gracious. You were both simply outstanding!! We were lucky to get a corner room with had 3 (yes THREE) small balconies with views of the city roads and the train station. As mentioned earlier, in spite of being by the road, the noise never bothered us. The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable beds (not hard) and pillows, with your basic room facilities like mini fridge, bathtub, safe deposit box, hairdryer, tv. The room and hotel itself is beautiful and is very reasonably priced if you compare it to other hotels in more popular areas monastiraki and the likes.

Great if you need the train in the morning”

Ariston Hotel is a modern, functional hotel, located 5 mins walk from the train station and Larissa meto station. The neighbourhood is not touristy, which I prefer. The atmosphere around this hotel feels rather safe. It is convenient if you have an early train to catch, or if you arrive really early or late by train. As it is near to the metro station, you can get anywhere in Athens easily. By the way, Athens' metro stations are clean and good.

Great 3 star hotel with 5 star staff!”

The room facilities, the staff and the location

The location of the hotel is really good. The Larissa metro station is very near, and it takes less than 10 minutes to reach the Syntagma main station. There is couple of nice restaurants and bars couple of blocks away and there is also a Carrefour supermarket near. There is a big road in front of the hotel but atleast in our room (5th floor) you couldn't hear the traffic noice that much. The room was small but confortable and includes small balcany, small bathtub that you can atleast sit on and a small flat tv. The bed was very hard but actually quite good to sleep on. The best thing was the effective air conditioner! Also there was free wifi that was working well. And the small fridge was nice. The room was organized daily, but the floor could have been cleaned more often. The staff was just amazing, very friendly and helpful! Our favorite person was our lovely cleaning lady, who got us some old towels that we could take to the beach, and she brought new pair of those every morning to our door, just in case we were planning to head to the beach. :) The breakfest was ok and very basic, but it kept us satisfied until late afternoon. It was same every morning; some white bread with cheese and ham, small sweet croisants with different types of sweet spreads, some fruits, sweet cake, boiled eggs, cereals, orange juice and coffee. The one big plus side was that you can get as many free expresso, cappuchino etc as you like, in addition to the filter coffee. We would have appreciated more salty breakfest options and some warm food as well. For the price of about 50 euros per night including the breakfest: we could not have been happier! We want to thank all the staff members of Ariston Hotel for making our holiday really pleasant!

        You should grab this hotel!”

I'm not good at english. But I'm leaving a review in English. Because I wanna recommend this hotel to as many people as possible. For 8 days in Greece, I stayed in 5 different hotels. Among them, this hotel was best. It is near the Larissa station. So when you want to go to the meteora or you come back from the meteora by train, it would be most convenient (trains departe too early, arrive too late) Metro station is located within 50m and the syntagma is just 4 station away from this station. Rooms were clean. People were very kind. If you worry about the location of this hotel, I wanna tell you. It would be better to choose this hotel with lower price and eat something better.

Friendly staff. Very close to the metro station!”

Location were excellent in a quiet residential area and staff speak very good English! Feel safe when I get back to hotel at late night. A huge Carrefour is nearby.

Its was a comfortable stay in Ariston although its not in the cloudy tourist area but its just few mins walkto Stathmos Larisis metro station. There is a big carrefour next to the metro exit. The most impressive thing about this hotel is their staff, the lady explained very detailed with good English and nice!! The gentleman on dury at night is also helpful coz the AC in the room wasnt ran well and he arranged the day shift lady to check for me. and the AC ran very well after that. the room was very clean. Nice balcony. Value of price ( i redeem the agoda points And i met friends in there :)

        Honest Review”

I wanted to take my time with this review and not just rush into it. I read a lot of reviews about the hotel and the area it is in. I arrived very late to the hotel, around 10pm, the gentleman on the receptionist was very nice and pleasant although there was a strong smell of smoke coming from the lobby which was off-putting. The room itself is basic but very clean and had a safe in the cupboard which was a boost because I read an earlier review stating there was no safe and they had to leave all their valuables at the reception. I requested a taxi to take me to the airport at 4am, this arrived no issue. I only have two issues with the room which are the air conditioning is so loud during the night and you literally have to slam the door close. I think the rooms need to be revamped, maybe a floor at a time? I can't comment on the breakfast because I didn't have while I stayed there because I like to go out for breakfast but I did have a cheese and ham toastie one evening which was really nice. The staff that work at the hotel are really nice, I think it's one person on during the day and one during the night which is why there is no room service and I had to go down to the reception to collect my toastie which I didn't really mind at all. The area......I was very concerned after reading a lot of reviews stating the area was very dangerous/dodgy but I didn't feel unsafe while walking about. The hotel is across the road from he train station, I had no issue using that nor did I ever feel unsafe. The hotel is within walking distance to the National Archaeological Museum and again I never felt unsafe. I arrived back to the hotel at 1am after being at a festival all day and I never felt unsafe or had any hassle.

Good clean but nothing fancy ”

Excellent friendly staff. More than willing to help. Narissa Train station literally 30 second walk which gives you direct access to the Acropolis and all the sites. Only a short train ride away. If your into walking it's an easy walk about 35 mins from the hotel. Room very clean and has all the essential but nothing fancy. Breakfast is reasonable for the price a good variety but again nothing fancy. Excellent place if you want somewhere just to sleep and see the sites of Athens.

        Nice hotel”

Nice staff, the room was clean. Our "view" was not, what we expected (balcony facing the main street and train tracks). Also, the room was facing the street, which was loud during business hours. Hotel offers reduced parking fees in a garage nearby (Athens is a tough cookie if you want to find an affordable parking spot). Overall, we were satisfied and would stay at the Ariston Hotel again, if we go to Athens.

        I think I have made a right decision ”

Convenient, friendly staff, easy to go everywhere

Very convenient to everywhere in Athens, the hotel locates just across from the Larisis Station with 2 minutes walking distance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but OK. The price is value for the condition of the room. Any chances to come back here again, I would like to book Hotel Ariston again.

        Metro Accessible Hotel”

Metro accessible from the airport, walking distance from the metro station and very helpful and friendly staff

I and my husband arrived very late in the night but the night duty staff was so awake and accomodating. The room is just the right size, 2 beds = double bed was ok, the bathroom big enough, balcony with a view was ok, aircon seemed too warm in the beginning but turned out to be just the right temperature for sleeping and breakfast was good. The hotel has a night bar a few meters walking distance away that also serves light and local meals. One good point about this hotel is its metro accessibility from the airport and other points of interest in Athens. There is a special metro trip from the airport to the city for arriving passengers at €8. The metro is conveniently located just a few meters away from the arrival gate. Metro plans are available for easy location search. The 3 Metro lines are color coded with all important areas and landmarks. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Larissis Station. The station has escalator and elevator for convenience in case of heavy luggage. Enjoy and have fun in Athens!

Hotel out of the central core of Athens”

        Good price, but location inconvenient

The Ariston is a block from the Larissa Train Station. It is a ten minute hop on the metro from the main core of Athens. The room was spacious and had lots of windows and balconies. The bed was on the hard side. Service was with a smile. Breakfast was basic. Our chief complaint was that there are really no nice restaurants within walking distance. When we asked the staff for a recommendation, they sent us to the Nana Hotel, down the street, where the food was only fair. It might be better at lunch when they cook fresh. At night the choice was extremely limited. The hotel is adjacent to the headquarters of an extremist party and there is a lot of police activity as a result.

        Friendly staff and cosy stay.”

We enjoyed our stay in Ariston hotel. The service is amazing and the staff is reaĺy helpful and friendly. We found everything we asked for. The only thing I suggest is to put a kettle in the room because it is not practical to ask for hot water from the reception because we had a child with us.

        Great value hotel”

Location ideal for exploring a fantantic city, excellent value for money and superb staff.

Anyone arriving by train or even plane will find this hotel ideal. 45 minutes from the airport on the metro and 2 minutes walk from the main rail station and ajoining metro. Metro to downrown 6 minutes. Large supermarket, bar and restaurants close by. Hotel is well managed with very helpful staff. Nice continental breakfast available, and inexpensive bar, even the mini bar in the rooms was great value €2 for a beer! Rooms can be a liitle noisy but then you are in a capital city opposite the main rail station. On a budget or just want value for money, stay here.

Affordable and close to the metro”

walking distance to the metro, clean rooms, very affordable

My husband and I stayed here during our first trip to Athens. We found the hotel neat and affordable with a very nice English-speaking receptionist. Two years later, we took our families to Athens and booked at Ariston again. The hotel still looked new. Since we were leaving for an early flight to Santorini the next day, they arranged for the cook to work early to serve us breakfast. How accommodating!

        Most Horrible Hangover Ever”

I'll go through the first part quickly - clean room, nice location, incredibly friendly staff everything as advertised. My biggest issue was that the guy at the reception's recommendations on where to go and have some fun were so accurate that I came back at 5 in the morning after an insanely fun night in Athens and had to deal with a a bad hangover. ;)

Great location n room for price.”

For the price the location is ideal . cheap as it's outside the city(ish) literally on top of a metro station so great and easy to get to the city center . very clean n well kept easy to control temp.

Great. friendly staff. Nice and clean room cleaned with towels daily. Great Little air con unit to control room temp very easily. Small mini bar selection-however compared to where I also stayed in Athens great fair prices. loved the touch you could order a take away from your room to collect(from a place up the street)we didn't use this. We didn't eat the meals at the hotel as we didn't pay so can't comment on that. Great place to stay for a week-comfortable bed and pillows compared to what I've previously slept on in Athens-all beds in Greece seem to be hard. Worth a stay as athens is not about the room/hotel or pool(If your hotel has one) but about getting out-seeing everything Athens has to offer( which is alot)and having great food out!

Close to metro station, comfortable and clean room, cheap

Hotel located just next to metro station, have supermarket "carrefour" and fast food shop "everest" nearby. Room is cheap compare to those in town center, still worth to spend few dollars to go to Larissis station, just 10 mins from Monastraki. Highly recommend.

        Next to the station

Arisiton hotel provides excellent services. We ask for a quit room and the lady in the morning is so nice! She provided options for us to see and choose. Also, when we ask about the location of a bank, she pointed out the direction and provided all related information. This hotel is just next to the train station and metro station! The breakfast is quit good.

        good location

Hotel is acceptable. Its clean and service is great. It is not in the city center but is about 100 meters away from the train station which will bring you to the city, airport, port, etc. There are many places to eat around the area and there is also a Carrefour near the hotel. Neighborhoods in athens in general are a bit edgy so be careful.
