Amazing!”
We absolutely loved staying at Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. The resort is beautiful. My kids loved the water park especially the slides. I loved the poolside service. Drinking pina coladas and eating delicious food next to the pool was so much fun. All of the employees that we passed said hello and were very kind. The only suggestion I have is for families it would be great if there was a microwave and room in the mini bar refrigerators for leftovers.
14th Birthday Party sleep over with friends, perfect place for this!”
I can’t say enough good things about Arizona Grand Resort and Spa! It greatly exceeded my expectations. I had four 14 year old boys. Our room was for 6 (two queen beds and a sleeper couch). The couch was in a separate room with another TV. (Living room). Nice large table in this room and a sink wet bar area. Works out really well. The rooms are fancy and newly remodeled. I visited all six pools and was impressed. The water park also exceeded my expectations. Top notch experience!
Weekend in Phoenix”
Nice hotel! With a great Waterpark. The hotel is huge with a confusing layout. Took a while to get our bearings and how best to get to room, car, pools, etc. The staff was extremely friendly and the waterpark was great. Dont plan on bringing your own drinks to the park. You need to buy drinks from the bar (no big deal.) My 5 year old was bummed he was not tall enough to go on the slides. Believe you need to be 48". Park closed earlier than we liked 5pm and 6pm on weekends. Overall was a great trip. The family had fun and the kids did not want to leave. Good value as the room was larger than expected. Clean with friendly staff. Thank you AZ Grand Resort & Spa.
Great Water Slides for Resort Hotel”
Great price for a end of summer staycation. Roomy suite for family with young kids. Room slept 6. Very nice water park for a resort this size. Best water slides in Arizona. Golf, tennis, horseback riding. Outlet mall across the street, and wide variety of shopping near by. Fifteen minutes to airport, Arizona State University or downtown Phoenix.
Wonderful Vacation”
Pros: Staff is extremely helpful. They went above and beyond again and again. I cannot say enough about the staff. Amenities were great for us ( kids 4-8...kids have to be 48 inches to ride the slides) Pool at our building was also very nice. Nice temperature, lots of clean towels and lounge chairs. Hot tub is also great. Food was very good. Lots to choose from and very well presented. Cons: The food at the Oasis was very expensive and you cannot take your own food or drinks in to the water park. Thank you Arizona Grand for making this such a memorable vacation for my family!!!
We love staying at Arizona Grand”
Beautiful resort, perfect sized rooms for families, and a water park! This is our second visit to Arizona Grand and it won’t be our last.
Family Resort ”
I absolutely loved everything about this resort! We have children age range 5-16, and my 5 year old said it feels good to be a kid! That alone signifies what this resort is about. Priceless memories, friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent accommodation for getting you around the resort!! The only con is the price of drinks and food is expensive but hey resorts have to make their money so feed your kids before swimming, make sure they are hydrated and you are allowed to bring your own bottle of waters. Highly recommended for a family or even couples!!
Excellent facility with water park included.”
Rooms are very nice with plenty of space for a family of 5. Water Park at the resort has three slides, a lazy river and a wave pool. Where our rooms were located also had a regular pool. We ordered room service pizza for dinner after a long drive and it was excellent. Room service adds a charge for delivery and gratuities to the charge so a $19 pizza will cost $30, but it was worth it. The food in the water park was also very good. They had attendant who took your order and they food was brought to you quickly and was hot when it arrived. Everything we ordered was very good and well prepared. One of the nice things at the included water park was that there was plenty of shaded areas to get out of the sun without having to pay a separate charge for a cabana. The general seating are had attendants that regularly passed by to see if you wanted to order food or drink. Food and drinks are not cheap, but worth what they charge. We had a great time at the resort.
Awesome Vacation Spot”
We loved it here! Agora screwed up and didn’t send the reservation to the Resort but the Resort sorted it out - thank goodness! The rooms were clean and modern. I just wished for a fridge besides the mini-bar. The grounds were nice. The Oasis Water Park was perfect for kids. It was clean, had many features so the kids never got bored. I felt safe. Lifeguards everywhere! We brought portable clip-on sun shades so I could be near the pool area and not worry about finding a lounge chair with shade. We made our own and everyone asked about them. I liked the pools near the rooms so when we wanted a bit calmer atmosphere, we headed back towards our room. Lobby restaurant had a good breakfast, too. Food at the Oasis was decent but expensive. And since you can’t bring outside food/drink in, I guess that’s one way of making some money. Parking was easy and near our room. All in all, we had a wonderful trip and already want to go back.
Great Place to stay in Summer”
Its very hot in Arizona in July and this hotel was the perfect place to cool off and relax. Very clean facilities and plenty of room. Would go there again.
Great vacation for my family”
My family and I had a great time. The water park wristbands come with the room price. The waterslides were my boys favorite. The wave pool was amazing and there were lifeguards everywhere. My personal favorite was the lazy river. The bar & grill were nearby, as were the restrooms. A medium size glass of orange juice $8 and an icee $8. The room we selected had a separate bedroom with a freestanding tv. The living room also had a freestanding tv, so the boys were able to connect their consoles to them. Small fridge, coffee maker and small breakfast table. Plenty of eateries within a 15 minute drive. The hotel has an area /pathway for a good walk/hike within the hotel grounds. The only CON is that our room did not come with a tub. We vacationed with 4 other families and their rooms only had a shower as well. Nonetheless my boys had an amazing time! We will return soon.
Never pay full price here. ”
I knew staying in this resort in the winter we wouldn’t be getting the full package. The oasis water park was closed ( which we knew ahead of time), but the normal pools by the buildings were open. We got a good deal on the room, so I can’t be mad, but I would never pay full price for this place even when everything is open. The rooms are super out of date and nothing special. We stayed in a two queen one bedroom. The bathroom was a closet with peeling wallpaper and the balcony was covered in bird poop. Our stay was fine, but not at all worth a $50 resort fee per night. It felt like we were staying in a regular hotel. The grounds are beautiful, but we don’t golf and the water park was closed, so there was nothing for us to do at the resort except swim in the totally average hotel pool by our room. Not a big deal since we had a discounted rate, but for anyone considering this place I’d say spend your money elsewhere or just pay less and go to a hotel.
Exceptional”
Had a great time had my 91 yr old mom BD on 8/25/18 & BD of 9 yr grand daughter with daughter, son n law, & 2 yr grabdson. Also had relatives from Houma , LA also book room at the hotel , we all had a ball making memories, staff to front desk to housekeeping , also security who had to let be back in my room after I left my key. All of the staff was extremely helpful, professional, & Kind. Thank you have plans to come back..
Good customer service”
We liked the hotel a lot. A bit pricey but hotels in Phoenix are. The suggestion I would make would be to request ( if you are an older couple) a quiet area in the resort. We stayed in the Sedona area and our room was in the ground floor. There was s wedding on property and cars came and went all hours of the night . The noise continued including party noise until 430 in the morning. The staff did offer to move us earlier in the afternoon when it was obvious that there were wedging guests around us. I declined the offer but now regret this. That was my fault. Other than that , everything was lovely. They offered to have us stay an additional night but we couldn't because of a flight leaving the next morning.
A very nice staycation”
The resort is so big, ask for a room near your activities. If you are there to golf ask for a room near the clubhouse. If you're there for a conference, ask for room near the conference center. If you are there for the waterpark, ask for a room near the water park entrance. Upon check-in you will be charged a $50 Resort fee. I just don't understand why they have additional fees when it is not an option to not pay them, it just makes sense that they should be part of the price. I guess that's how these places get away with advertising things like $99 night rooms
Amazing amentities!”
Fantastic updated rooms, I recommend floor level near the water park. The water park is the best in AZ, only downside is the pricey food and drinks.
Terrible customer service but amazing facilty ”
Pros were a great pool, slides and lazy river and hotel overall in general was fantastic. The only thing that wasn't so great was the customer service. With the group I was with, with each of us every interaction we had with a staff member at the Grand Resort they had terrible customer service.
It was a great Spring Break hotel for my husband and I and our 12 year old son. ”
Nice Jing bed, but the pull out was shabby to say the least. The resort is not big enough to pay $20 extra/night to ‘be closer to the water park’ so don’t waste your money on thst(thankfully we didn’t). If you want chairs in the sun, get to the water park at 10:30, or you’ll be in the shade. Food prices at the water park are RIDICULOUS($18 cheeseburger, $5 chips), plan to take a short walk off the premises to get sandwiches/Mexican for half the price.
We had a BLAST! ”
Cons: the website said that the hotel fees were included but when we checked in, the hotel held a total of $150, which only $100 was refundable if nothing in the room was damaged. Also I expected the Spa to have hair brushes, unisex deodorant spray, throw away shavers, & face cream. Aside from the additional hidden charges and a few extras, the rest of our stay was Fantastic!!
Good value, convenient and fabulous activities”
Where else would you find a water park in a hotel? Something I’ve never seen before and great for kids. Fabulous outlook from the restaurant and patio onto the golf course. You wouldn’t know you were just off a big freeway making it so convenient for the airport and downtown Phoenix too. The only thing letting the hotel down was the attitude of some of the staff and cleaners. Not very helpful and seemed like they didn’t want to be there.
