Request a non smoking room not met .room carpet was dirty with stain .hair in the bath area. Given a room facing a huge water tank can hear the water pump sound .I will not go back again.

If you would like to feel and experience the local atmosphere in terms of hospitality, I would strongly recomment the Art Hotel Kumamotojomae. Nice location with fine service. Genuinely a great place to stay for some nights I think. Thank you so much!

it's quiet and good location which is 5 minuts walk from the city centre and they provide good service. There's not convenient store near the hotel, but overall I found it good hotel overall.

During my stay, the hotel was under renovation. It make me look over and difficult to find this hotel. However, the construction did not make a loud noise to disturb me.

Great location, friendly staff, reasonable price and service. Everything sounds ok except hot, stuffy room. There was no air con during Spring but during the day the temperature can hit 25C, heating up the room while we were out. We have to open the window through the night to let the cold air in.

It's a bit far from station. Even the tram cannot reach there. The water tap is surprisingly old-fashioned. I hope the hotel can replace them. Staff are nice and helpful. Service is really good. Even when we did not require cleaning service, the staff gave us a bag of new towels and pillow cases etc which was real considerate. Near Kumamoto Castle and Natsume Soseki old home but it was under construction.

Generally good for a couple of nights stay. Basic amenities are all available, just a little old. Plus point is the castle is opposite the hotel. However, it's currently under restoration.

They can speak English so almost people who can speak English are able to communicate with them easily. Room cleaning service is happening everyday 12pm it's nice. If you want to delay it, you can maybe. Room's size is little bit small so, i recommend to you that reserve bigger one than your plan

The Fantastic Staff are the only good point. ”
The staff were fantastic, but generally the hotel is grubby and in need of deep cleaning and redecoration. The breakfast was extremely disappointing with cold food and a cold room that was overcrowded - most guests were wearing their coats for good reason. The overworked staff were doing their best to cope, but the whole experience persuaded me to eat elsewhere.
