Probably the best option in El Nido”

Very good location, great staff performance, value for money

If you dont expect huge room where to put a lot of stuff and 5 star comfort (things expected by a wrong type of traveller for place like El Nido), then this is probably the best choice. Our decision in Arkitel's favour was made after extensive review of few dozens of hotels including room types, prices, and most of all- guest reviews after which we eliminated all the other options near noisy streets, with paper thin walls, poor staff performance, overpriced rooms, etc etc. and we were not disappointed and had a very pleasant stay. We spent Christmas there and would like to thank hotel staff for a free Christmas dinner with delicious Filipino food for all hotel guests. This was an extra plus, not expected and thus a pleasant surprise.

Bang for your buck!”

Great staff, decent location, free basic breakfast.

We had a lovely time in El Nido! Such a beautiful place. Carissa and the other staff members at Arkitel was so nice and helpful. They hooked us up with a great tour package with Umi travel and tours. The location was decent. It's not beach front which is just fine because it's only a couple mins walk to go there. We were able to walk around the community trying out great places to eat for really cheap prices. We went there when it was "fiesta" so even better because there were tons of choices to eat at both street foods and small restos. Our families stayed at rooms 4,5,6. All rooms had A/C, fans, and its own bathrooms. Room #4 had paint peeling off the ceiling and some went on our pillows on the last day. One of the only things that we didn't expect was the dirty colored water. We asked the management and they stated that it was from the ocean water which they mildly treat. The color can also be treated even more with chlorine making it more clearer. Well the chlorine was so strong it made us hacked and coughed the whole time we were showering and even after, making it hard for some of us to sleep. Other than the water issue, Arkitel is definitely a steal for the price. With the beauty and fun we had at El Nido and Umi travel and tours, we didn't mind so much the small troubles ;)

The best!”

Staff, location, breakfast

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Me and my fiancé have been food poisoned because of unclean seafood we ate in one restaurant in Nacpan Beach El Nido. They supported us until we get well. Constantly checking us in the clinic if we need something and if we are fine. Especially Argen of their hotel staff who assisted us til we completely recovered. We owe you a lot and we appreciate everything. We would recommend your hotel to our friends and family.

Worth staying”

Staff was very nice, good location, rooms are clean

Me and my family enjoyed our stay here very much. The staff were friendly and very accomodating. The owner even help us get a really good deal with the 2 tours we had. She is also really sweet and kind. We were well taken cared off especially when the electricity was down. They gave us suggestions on what to do and what to see around. The room we had was clean and very spacious which is good for our big luggages. Everything was clean when we arrived. It was also nice to have a small area where guests can watch tv or play sungka or even just chill on the wooden couch at the front. :) The location was perfect for us since we want a place that is quiet, safe yet still close to everything around El Nido. Its close to alot of food shops, souvenier shops and especially the beach side. I would suggest to have more options with the breakfast. Also, since we stayed closer to the reception area, it gets abit noisy sometimes especially when others stay to watch tv or play games or just hangout in there. But overall, i am very pleased that we stayed here and i would definitely recommend this place if you want ti stay in El Nido for few days.

Very friendly staff and good location!”

The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Unlimited coffee and the room was just perfect for us. Just a few meters away from the beach and the tours were discounted as well. The water coming from the bidet kind of smells though. But overall, it was a good experience with this hotel. I'll definitely recommend this to anyone going to el nido :)

Cozy accommodation and decent value for money”

Breakfast included, far from the hustle and bustle, small and not so crowded establishment

Got to book a room here after reading some reviews of former guests of the establishment and really did not disappoint. I first contacted the owner via email prior to my trip to El Nido and they gently replied although not in a timely fashion. They arranged for my mini van trip to El Nido offering a competitive price and I am quite satisfied with the level of service quality of the transportation company. Check-in was quick and no deposit was requested. The room was bigger than I expected and all in all was ok. The worst thing without a doubt was to find out that there were some works on the building next to the guest house which meant I was abruptly woken up at 7.30 ish with hammer strokes and chatter. It just bothered me the first day, after I got used to it and really did not meant a lot since I had to wake up early any way. The room was in the upper floor which I appreciated, it had no hot water. The shower tap water pressure was weak but still managed. They do not provide with any shower gel or shampoo. The towels can't be taken out of the guesthouse as per house rules. Beds are ok. It is located in peaceful street far from the hustle and bustle of the beach and main road but still just 5 minutes away. Many 'convenience store', internet cafe, pharmacy and other guest houses on the way to the beach. Staff was correct but really did not go the extra mile. Only found them helpful when it comes to book a place in the mini van in and out El Nido. They also try sell some tours but without insisting too much. Breakfast was included and I felt it was just something to fill up the belly. One scrambled egg, two toasts, butter and two pieces of ham. No changes, every day the same. They do offer free flow of tea and coffee though which is available all day. At the time the guesthouse was everything but busy which I appreciated. There is a TV and common area for sitting next to the reception and the entrance.

El Nido Trip”

The place is located right in El Nido proper. I noticed newer and bigger places when I was there--but I believe they are more pricier. The place is several blocks (small) to the seaside restaurants. The place is clean specifically the common areas, the room that we have did not have a TV. No closet only an adjustable hanging rod. There was a table but no chairs. The room was basic with hot/cold water, bathroom, beds, and air conditioner. There is always power in the hotel--but then we were not their during the whole day. We left the place around at 830AM most of the time and there was still power.

friendly staff, cleanliness, location

+ Clean rooms, no bugs. Very friendly staff and excellent service! Also an excellent laundry service with reasonable price. Wi-fi was ok, especially in the corridor and breakfast area. Location is perfect: close enough to the beach, bars and restaurants (5-10 minutes walk), but far enough to get a quiet and good night sleep. Very good value for money. - Rooms are clean but quite small. No tables, not even a small table next to the bed. Breakfast was average (toast, eggs and sausage, no brewed coffee, only some Nescafe bags).

The Downer in our El Nido Break DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE”

The El Nido experience was a nice one. It was just ruined by the fact that Arkitel Bed and Breakfast did not have a Generator that can support air conditioning which is very important when you need to recharge after a whole day of going around the islands. The whole 72 hours that we were in El Nido, Arkitel also had no air conditioning. You can just imagine our horror trying to have a decent sleep for 3 straight nights!!! When we investigated the inns and hostels beside, near, and around the Arkitel B n B, we discovered that they had generators that support air conditioning and the prices were not significant as compared to Arkitel's. Considering that the owner is an architect (we asked the front desk staff why Arkitel is its name), we could not understand why the owner did not ensure that a generator that can support air conditioning was not in place. Surely, this was not the first time that there was brown out in El Nido. Knowing the designs of the rooms (with practically no ventilation whatsoever), it is a MORTAL SIN not to have an adequate GENERATOR SET!!! Lastly, there was no effort from the owners or their managers to approach us and assuage our feelings of frustration/disappointment up to the last minute of our stay there. They just let their staff absorb the anger and frustrations of the guests who were there before us. One proper thing that they should have done was just at least to send their manager to apologize formally for the situation and offer some things that may mitigate our negative feelings. We have been all over Asia and beyond, but this was the first time in 15 years or so that we encountered an establishment in a Tourist Destination (for that matter) that had no generator set that can support air conditioning (even just for the nighttime/sleep time). Hopefully, this won't happen again to guests after us - that is IF they'll procure a decent generator set!!! The 3 establishments beside, near, and around Amboy Street wher

Excellent”

The location is just right next to (and less than a minute's walk from) El Nido's main streets, so it's easy to get to any bar, shop, or restaurant in the town but also quiet enough at night to get a good sleep despite the peak season (I went during Holy Week). The electricity goes on and off but that's a town-wide problem. Breakfast is standard fried food with egg and garlic rice which is good enough if you're not meticulous about your food sources. Air conditioning is quite weak but there's a ceiling fan. My toilet had a bidet, which was a pleasant surprise since my expectations were low. Water pressure is rather weak though. You'll live if you're going to spend most of your time island-hopping or hanging out in a café.
