Modern, comfortable, well appointed.”

Rooftop pool with bay views, large stylish rooms

if you're looking for a hotel close to the bars and restaurants in adriatico st, or the cultural centre and mall of asia, or just a comfortable, well appointed hotel in malate, then try the armada hotel manila. recently totally refurbed, the only downside is it sits in a rather shabby end of town... but then, it is an older part of the city. rooftop pool had lounges and a view over the bay; which at two streets back is about as close as you want to get to manila bay because of the foul sewerage smell. staff, rooms and meals were as good as you find anywhere in a 4-5 star hotel in manila, but room rates made it better value. and wifi worked in the room without a glitch, a surprise as it had been problematic in every other hotel stayed in in the philippines during my trip.

nice room”

big room

Armada Hotel Manila is quite a small hotel, probably modified from a serviced apartment before. Friendly staffs, good location not far from Roxas Blvd. which is near the place I have to deal the business. Parking is quite troublesome for my local partner who came to pick me up and drop me off. What I like the most about this hotel is the space in the room, big and nice, toilet and shower are also big and nice. Breakfast is so so, nothing special. Internet wifi is very slow, unbelievably. and the room I got is quite far from the hotspot, I have to put my chair sitting next to the door to get the signal, should improve. During my stay, it was a rainy season and storm just passed by Manila, the small street in front of the hotel is flooded but not causing me much problem since we had car, but for street walker must be troublesome.

Quality stay in a quality hotel”

clean and comfortable rooms, nice gym, swimming pool

My family and I had a great time at Armada Hotel Manila. I booked for 3 rooms because we are attending an international convention in World Trade Center, but we left our young children in the hotel. It is good that they have very friendly staff, from the moment we stepped in until we checked out, all of them are wearing the perfect smile. The restaurant offers a considerable range of food for breakfast, which could be better. At least, their servers are attentive and accommodating too. The room is perfect, I will not elaborate more on that. They have nice fitness center and swimming pool too!

Customer Service, Buffet Breakfast, Big Clean Rooms

I had the pleasure of staying at the Armada Hotel for my week long stay in Manila recently, in short it was an extremely pleasant stay. Right from the start I was impressed by the front of house staff as we checked in and were made to feel very welcomed. Then moving into our room I was impressed by how clean and well setup it was. They included complimentary bottled water which was replaced daily for our stay. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was also able to be set to a comfortable level with ease. I will be staying here again for sure and highly recommend. A special mention for David who was our waiter for most of the week for our included breakfast buffet who was approachable, friendly, capable and went above and beyond for us, a big thank you :)

Best Value For Money in Malate”

The spacious, clean rooms are just the start for this hotel. The main dining area, Calibre, features a revolving breakfast menu each morning, accented by local dishes in addition to familiar western varieties. The Spa services are reasonable in price but professional in their execution. A remedial massage on checkout afternoon is exactly what I needed after touring the local areas on foot, that included Malate Church, the famous Aristocrat Restaurant and many drinking holes for some social activity with the locals or even the odd tourist like myself. The hotel is in reasonable proximity to Mall of Asia and even Robinsons Mall for those that want to capture big city shopping but for the artistic or historically inclined there is the Metropolitan Museum or even the National Musem a short taxi ride away (just beware of Manila traffic!). Front Desk, Concierge and Bell Hops round out the professional team that makes up this fine hotel. Airport transfers are provided for additional cost but were serviced with minimal fuss on the day required.

A reliable and honest review”

Comfortable, good value for money and good location

My husband i stayed here for two days, from March 15-17,2016. Here's my honest review, food was okay but there's only minimal and typical choices, sausage, corned beef and bacon were mainstays, so we're the salad and breads. Nothing fancy about the menu. Second, the room was really nice, I got what I requested except for the king size bed but it's okay I got both the tub and the bay view, it's worth it :-) thank you so much Armada :-) my only problem with the hotel room is that the cigarette smoke was too strong inside the room and in the toilet it was awful but the staff and the housekeeping acted fast when I reported it to them. I requested for a non smoking room but I was informed that the client who occupied the room prior to us violated the non smoking rule and therefore he was paid a fine. Third, housekeeping was really nice and beds were comfortable, AC is very good and Hot and cold water was working very well except for the WIFI connection which is not stable, it comes and goes..Another problem is the parking space but then again when I brought my situation to the front desk, they are so reliable and quick to respond. Ms.Charisse was so accommodating during my phone inquiries and Ms.Danica was also very nice and very professional. Overall, this hotel is very nice, good value for money and good location and I would like to stay here again, I would even refer this hotel to my friends. Thank you Armada!

nice hotel, good service”

great location.

stayed at the armada with my wife for ten days and have no complaints. room was big enough for the two of us and very clean and comfortable. buffet breakfast was good with many options. the location of armada is both good and bad, taxi drivers have no idea where it is, but if you mention aristocrat restaurant, they can get you there. there is harrison and robinson shopping malls, many restaurants and bars within walking distance and mall of asia is about a 100 peso taxi ride away. at night the street this hotel is on has very poor lighting, is covered in trash, with many derelect buildings and construction sites there. unfortunately streets like this are common place in malate, so it was no problem for us and didnt change our opinion on armada or our stay there. we liked the hotel, the room, the staff, the service and value for money, would stay there again for sure.

Great hotel 😊”

Staying in this hotel is worth the money! 30 minutes from NAIA (without traffic) 10-15minutes walk to Robinsons Place Manila (5minutes via taxi or jeepney) Location is good if you wanted to stay from the busy streets of Malate. There is a 7/11 nearby the hotel. Friendly staff, huge room and very clean 😊 FYI: you need to give security fee of 2,000 pesos upon checkin (refundable upon checkout). My husband and I enjoyed our stay! Will definitely recommend.

Good quality hotel ”

Quality hotel at a reasonable price, roof top pool and good restaurant

Stayed at the Armada hotel in Malate for 5 days and overall was very happy with my experience. Good size room with a view of Manila Bay, and clean with large comfortable bed. Roof top pool is too small to swim lengths in but is good for just relaxing. Quality of food in restaurant is very good. Robinsons mall is a 15 minute walk away, or a 5 minute taxi ride (80 pesos maximum). I would stay at this hotel again.

Booked this for my parents as it is quite near the airport. Got the room on a discounted rate which is great. I didn’t expect the room that big. What i love the most is the rooftop pool overlooking manila bay. No bed bugs...the bed is comfortable to sleep in. Location though for me is a 50/50. Don’t like the surroundings but manageable. My parents enjoyed their stay,so thank you Armada ❤️

Clean & friendly

We stay in the hotel two night. The room is clean and stuffs are all friendly. Although it is located in a small alley but much near the Malate church and Roxas Boulevard. If you wanna take taxi, no matter come to hotel or leave form it to somewhere, you might get in or out at the Manila Hospital. The hospital is very near the hotel and easy to find.

Large rooms and big smiles”

The rooms are large, bathrooms modern, but no frills!

The Armada is a well-priced comfortable no-frills hotel. No-frills isn't a sell-down though. The rooms are large, bathrooms are modern with good amenities. Wifi is available, though not strong but the helpful front desk team were happy to look for a solution for me. While the rooms are generally OK, there aer some limitations on amenities - such as no minibar but this is no big deal for me. The location is not great unless you need to be in this area of Malate for any specific reason... though it is close to the waterfront and within easy access to intramuros. Overall, a pleasant, comfortable and well-priced hotel with happy, helful, friendly staff.

Great hotel, very flash and great rooms, large”

Large clean new rooms and great buffet breakfast!

I really liked this hotel as it was fairly new when I stayed here and got a great introductory/opening deal. About 1/2 of the price it sells for normally. This was just twelve months ago now, Feb 2012, sorry for my late review .... Rooms are huge and the breakfast was a great buffet style. Beds also huge and very comfortable, no doubt because they were new at the time I stayed here. Staff and security were helpful. Sort of in an out of the way area, nearby the hospital and zoo and not too far form two malls. Would recommend if the price range suits your budget ... I opted to stay elsewhere on my latest trip due to the pricing of this hotel. Now that is finished they didnt allow me to barter their prices like they did on my previous stay.

New Hotel”

Clean with large rooms

As this hotel was only recently opened everything was as expected new and clean. The fact that some floors were still under construction, had no negative effect on the guests ( noise or dust) The rooms are very large and clean as they have easy cleanable wooden floor instead of a carpet. However some design flaws at the bathroom tub causes a flooding around the bath tub which has no negative effect on the guest but it will be a future cleaning and maintenance problem for the hotel. The included breakfast was served in the well appointed restaurant of the hotel and they offered a good and typical asian breakfast. Coffee (or tea) was offered and served directly by the friendly waiters as well as any kind of egg. Interestingly the waiters never offered a refill of your coffee/tea. The location is reasonable with the Manila Bay ( Roxas Blvd) only a few minutes walk away. The next access to traffic jam free transportation is the LRT Station Quirino 10min walk, or depending on traffic, an even longer ride on Taxi or Jeepney away. Nearest shopping is Robinsons a 5 min straight jeepney or taxi ride away. Laundry and supermarkets are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel... as well as night life... if required.

Comfy modern rooms. Good location

The rooms are modern, clean and of good quality. Service minded staff always ready to help. The pool on the 15th floor is big enough for some real swimming and offers a nice view over the Malate/bay area of Manila. Modern gym equipped for a good work out Breakfast is rich and good and again the staff was always observant if you would need something. I staid in Makati before, but prefer this area as it is close to the bay area with amusement park, zoo, bayside restaurants, Mall of asia and religious sites close by. Nightlife is also at hand right outside the hotel.
