Awesome staff, great location”
One of the reasons why I booked my stay at Armenian Suite Hotel is because of how lovely their beds looked. It was exactly what was shown on the photos in Agoda and it was perfect. It was a struggle to find the hotel at first but once I got familiar with the streets, I realized the property was located at the heart of Georgetown, where some of the famous street wall arts can be found. What I love about this hotel is the care they offer their guests. This boutique hotel have the most amazing staff. I had tummy trouble during my stay and was sick the entire time. Miss Christine helped me with my laundry concerns and told me directions where to eat. Miss Irene helped me buy the medicine for my diarrhea from the pharmacy across the hotel. And Mr. Tony was so so so kind enough as to accompany me in the early hours of the morning just to show me where the 24-hour clinic was located in Little India. I'm deeply touched by the genuine gesture and I would never have expected to receive such excellent customer service from them. I'll be forever grateful for their kindness. I'll definitely book with Armenian Suite Hotel again in a heartbeat!
Great”
Great and comfortable with it. I want to give suggestion. If can, why not the hotel provide water dispenser for the guess (for those who in the cube). Sometimes we need to refill our bottle especially in the middle if the night when we thirsty. Surely i will stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Penang. Thanks Armenian Suite Hotel. Amrie, KL
No regret to choose this lovely boutique hotel ”
First, we choose this hotel due as we saw it is near to most street art and easy access to restaurants . It was a Thursday when we arrived and not so crowded . The reception is friendly and helpful. Once we enter the room ,we were amazed by the cleanliness in the room (it is more than you can expect for what you've pay) ! For a germaphobia like me, I'm so satisfied with the washroom condition . The whole room and the washroom are equipped with bright light. Clear TV channel too ! And the bed is so comfy & lovely enough for couples . About the location , it is located strategically and super near to tourist spots (wall arts) , restaurants (the famous Nasi Kandar Beratur & Jawi house) , food streets (Chulia Street) , cafés (longest café in Penang-ChinaHouse) and there is a reflexology shop which open until 12am (good service with reasonable price) . All are reachable in walking distance . Nearby also have a bicycles station which you can rent it and hourly charged . **We prefer to use UBER and GRAB in Penang due to the traffic . You can easily call for cab around this Armenian Street .
Penang Georgetown gem”
We had a great time in the Armenian suite Hotel, in the heart of Georgetown art district and just a step away from all the best food stall in town. Yes I will definitely come back to stay at the Armenian Suite Hotel.
Excellent”
I felt like home, because the receptionist is a Filipina and she when out of her way for accommodating me since it's my first time in Penang. I Love Peng, I like Armenian street and all it's corner. Everything from food, accomodation and people. Laid back lifestyle you will appreciate how they try to maintain tradition specially in cooking. So much to love about Penang and Armenian St. If only I knew I will bookj next time for 3-4 days so that I can tour around Penang.
Exceptional”
Pros: - Staffs were very friendly and ever willing to be of assistance. The main hotel door closes after midnight, and I had forgotten to bring my key that would open the hotel door. Called the number up and a staff came down all smiles and helpful! -Room was clean, water pressure and heater was fantastic. -We had one incident with the curtains falling due to faulty screws, but the staff was very quick to apologize and replaced the curtains. - Location is dead centre of tourist attractions (street arts, museums, old architecture), near to a 24H convenience store, walking distance to bars down at Chulia St., Love Lane, & food joints. Cons: -Finding a parking space at day time is a nightmare. Place gets busy at 11am-630pm. However, parking is ample in front of hotel once it gets to 7pm. Best to park the car at day time, and explore by walking/uber/grab/public transport. -The Armenian Cafe beside the hotel is overpriced with tiny portions. But can opt to eat outside instead.
Great Location, Great Hospitality”
Our flight was badly delayed and thank god for the owner of hotel who waited for our arrival. The service was spectacular and the location is smack right in the middle of the artsy Armenian area. Kudos for the great accommodation and will definitely recommend all who would like to have a good stay in Penang to consider this hotel.
Great place to stay”
The hotel is located in Lebuh Armenian which is surrounded with signature street art in PG. It is near to many museum and easy to find Penang local food nearby. The room is pretty and clean. A must-stay place in PG :) Next time i visit PG, i definitely stay here again :)
Great location and value for money ”
Overall, my stay at Armenian Suite Hotel was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable which it is definitely value for money for guests. The only inconvenience that we have experienced in this hotel was they do not provide car parking area for the guests. Car park hunting in the afternoon may be quite difficult and guest must put parking coupon after car parking.
Will come again!”
Simple yet cosy stay at Armenian Suite. Weekend bazaar just in front of the hotel. Walking distance to many attractions. Room is clean. Water cooler provided outside the room. Will definitely visit again in my next Penang trip!
Exceptional”
Great location. Consider the center of all nice attractive at Penang. The Armenian street is closed on Saturday morning until evening, no vehicle allowed so you have to walk about 2-3 minutes. Walking distance to Swettenham Piers, about 30 minutes. Will stay here again next time.
Terrific location”
we had the upgraded room and it was excellent. We located the hotel walking around Georgetown at the end of Chinese New Years. The room was, well equipped wi a decent TV, channels,,nice bathroom and extremely comfortable and clean. We relocated for a mere couple of dollars from a "heritage" guest house that we paid lots of money for an inferior place. It,was easy to walk around the old town and were about 5 blocks from the theatre complex where a large mall is located. After two months travelling in India we were craving Indian food and a cabbie told us a great place to eat was the Kaptains. It is in little india and it happened to be a block and a half from the hotel. Very good Indian food at very reasonable prices.
Good location with very affordable price”
Location is at armenian street which is quite happening during the day but when reach the night, it is a complete silent street. The rooms are at the main building which is secured by a big thick alarmed door. However those cube rooms are at a seperate building opposite it. It quite worried me during then night as there are NO SECURITY measure for that building. Anyone can just go in and out of it if they know the location well. The door cannot be locked. Even the cube that i sleep in does not have a secured door (the lock is spoilt) which quite worried me. But i passed the night easily. And another thing is that it is quite hot as it does not have a direct air cond system for the cube. It is a air suction machine operating sucking the air cond from the outside. My cube is far from the air cond and it is not cold at all and fortunately I'm the type that do not like a too cold weather.
Excellent Location, Superb Facility!”
This hotel is located right in the middle of the famous Armenian wall mural, lots of eateries and within walking distance to many other attractions. The room we stayed in was a economy cubicle with common facilities. It's spaces, clean and great air con. Although the height is not enough to stand up, it's plenty of space to sleep and relax. Friendly staff and easy access to nearby restaurants. Great value!
Location, Comfort, Cost and Convenience.”
Located in the heart of the art district. Walking distance to all of the - worthwhile seeing - city sights and attractions. Comfortable, clean and good service awaits you at the Armenian Suites.
Decent hotel, great location”
If you're looking for a good hotel at the middle of the action in George Town, this hotel is hard to beat. Located in the heart of Armenian street, this hotel is steps away from George Town's more famous street art, as well as quaint museums, galleries, curiosity shops, and restaurants. I need to mention if your looking for a bit of nightlife in the area, this spot is far from it as most of the establishments close up early. If you're travelling as a family, this hotel may be wrong for you as it has no elevators and very narrow stairways. Also, the hotel has seen better days. The room we got seemed a bit run down, and the faucet wouldn't stop leaking. The hotel's internet was also not reliable at all. But I feel that the hotel's strong points far outweigh its weaknesses. A cheap decent room in the middle of it all, with pretty rooms and a friendly staff. Perfect for budget travellers and couples looking to do something different,
great heritage hotel”
I really loved Armenian suite hotel. The staff is really lovely and the hotel is charming and on the cutest street in old town. It has basic amenities but it's worth the stay in my opinion Especially considering the location and price. Bring your ear plugs as it can get noisy.
Great location!”
The Armenian is a great hotel if you are looking to check out all the street art. Right accross the street you can rent a bike and ride around to find all the street art. So for a great price you are right in the middle of it all. GReat value for your money!
A nice cosy hotel right in the city”
I am a regular traveller into Penang. Tried a few budget hotels before. I must say this hotel is great. The room were quite impressive. Tony, the front desk guy is so helpful and great. As for location, wouldnt recommend if you are driving and staying over Saturday and Sunday as the road leading to the hotel will be closed from 1 pm till 10pm for stalls selling souveniers and food. If you are in Penang for the heritage, this the hotel to stay in. Its smack right in the heritage area. I am giving this hotel a 10.
Excellent location”
This hotel is right in the centre of Armenian Street art which my brother and I liked about staying here! Shops and eateries are also walking distance. There is a water dispenser for the guests to access. Manager allowed us to leave our bags in reception after checkout time while we do last-minute touristy stuff. :) Would like to note that the room smelled like someone had smoked cigarettes that we had to open the windows first. Water was leaking in the bathroom tap so we had to turn the tap on using the main "water switch." Staff were apologetic and helpful about these issues though. And there is no lift! It was about 16 steps to first level, then another 17 to second. Good exercise but a challenge if you heavy suitcase. Overall our stay was good and can recommend this to someone who is not too fussy with accommodation.
