Stayed at Arsela Hotel before and after our tour to see the orangutans. The hotel was nice, good WiFi and clean. What we really liked was the staff, very friendly and helpful especially Anis😁. Thanks allot see you again.

Indonesian - Kiwi couple here speak for our opinion. We stayed here on the 20th of December after our boat trip in National Park Tanjung Puting. I chose to stay in this hotel because of the architecture and they do have a nice park to chill out. When we first arrived, I felt good with the look. This hotel does feel homey exactly what I was after. We checked in, receptionist was nice enough, payment can be done in cash if you have, if done by CC you will get charged a few percent. All done and walking to our room and found out the staff still cleaning the room. Waited for 15 minutes or so, not a big deal for me. Here is my rating for two main things : @ Room : Spacious @ Bathroom, toilet, sink, bed linen : Clean, no problem I didn't have breakfast the next morning since I didn't have time, so I personally didn't have much to say but my partner thinks it was not very entertaining (as a Westerner). For the restaurant, I do think they are good, what we ordered for dinner was nice and both of us enjoyed. They come up with big portion. If you want something refreshing to drink, the soursop is recommended. For the price, I know it is something relative, but in my opinion the price there was reasonable (I always know when a place charges way too much than normal) - soursop juice is recommended. The waitress that served us was very nice friendly. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the park at night, you will need repellent. Well so in overall I would have nothing to complain about but the karaoke entertainment I think in general can really piss people off. How? If people really need a sleep, the noise of people singing until late at night won't be fun. If I am not mistaken the schedule is during the weekdays it ends at 11 pm and weekends at 12 am.

Fine for one night”
Arsela was fine for an overnight before a trip to the Nat'l Park. Nothing to rave about. There was nothing in the area to walk to; we set out in both directions in search of a restaurant but couldn't find anything (except about 6 pharmacies within a block!) The hotel restaurant was disappointing (among other things, the to-be-expected no-beer-or-wine). The service was attentive and good-natured, but the first two things we tried to order from the menu they didn't have. We finally asked what they DID have. It was ok, but overpriced. The singer in the "live band" was so appallingly bad it made our ears cry out in pain. Breakfast (included) was very "local," which is fine, but everything was cold.

Solides Hotel ”
Wer unbedingt eine Nacht in Pangklaban bun verbringen möchte, bei mir resultierte es aus einer Fehlplanung, dem ist das Hotel für etwa 30Euro inklusive ordentlichem indonesischem Frühstück zu empfehlen. Große Zimmer mit ordentlichem Bett und ebensolchem Bad. Personal okay. Lage etwas außerhalb, schwierig ins sogenannte Zentrum zu kommen.

Prima gezien de beperkte keuze”
Hier geslapen omdat we de volgende dag een jungle boottour zouden doen (via urangutang applausse = aanrader). Simpel hotel maar er is eigenlijk niks in de omgeving verder qua hotels en bezienswaardigheden. Achteraf gezien hadden we bij terugkomst vanuit de jungle ook gewoon rechtstreeks het vliegtuig kunnen pakken naar andere bestemmingen. Vliegveld pangkalan bun is zo klein dat inchecken in 15 min gedaan is, maar dat wisten we niet vtv.
