Perfect location for Berlin marathon runner. Few mins walk to Brandenburger Gate and subway station. The room type I stayed was single bed with shared bathroom. An advanced hostel. Good for traveler prefer privacy. Room and bathroom are clean and well maintained. No A/C but with a fan in room, quite conformable at Sept night. Breakfast charges around 11€ but I didn’t take it, so not able to comment here.
Staff were so kind and helpful. The hotel and its rooms are really cool and fun. The hotels location is perfect, you can hire bikes at reception and all the historical attractions, restaurants bars etc are in walking/cycling distance. Hotel looked after our luggage as we got there early in morning and couldn’t check in til 3 and again when we checked out, as our flight was late at night so we could enjoy Berlin and not worry about carrying our bags around. We would definitely return! No tea/coffee in rooms but there’s someone at reception 24/7 where they sell tea, coffee, snacks and cold drinks. No TV in room but who needs a tv when Berlin is outside your room!!
A nice and artistic stay in Berlin”
Lovely unique boutique hotel ,helpful and accommodating staff. Fabulous modern art all over the place , if you like the less boring and quirky this is for you, but the basics are right, good beds tv etc. Recommend it for an overnight stay.
Good quality, clean, noisy (Igényes, tiszta, zajos)”
Pros: The room is small, nice painted, clean. Well equipped. For example there are four power connectors. There is common bathroom. It is clean, nice, it was renovated in near past. There were hairdryer, paper hand towels, toilet paper, liquid soap. Reception is kind, fast administration, flexible. There is restaurant, brakefast is available. Very near to city! 5-10 minutes walk from Reischtag or from Friedrichstraße station. Cons: Noisy. Since 1 bed room is located on the attic, the floor creakes. Isolator wall is thin, neighbour noises can be heard. The train goes near to building arround every 5 minutes, it is also noisy. I could only sleep with closed window. I suggest for deep sleeper. To summary, I would go back again.
Love it, one of my favourite hotels of all time”
I’ve travelled extensively. This place exceeded my expectations. Ideal location, very friendly and helpful staff. I had a single room with a shared bathroom. I was impressed how super clean the shared bathroom was kept. Separate for men and women. The value for money is unbelievably impressive especially because of its location. Thank you to the staff at Arte Luise for making my stay comfortable. I would return anytime. Loved the concept of this place. I highly recommend it!
fantastic, too short”
We were extremely happy here. The hotel is very near various public transportation and within walking distance of several popular sights. The staff were incredible. The only negative I can think of is the proximity to the train, but the hotel provides earplugs, and I slept just fine. Everything was clean and comfortable. We lamented having to leave.
Ok if you can live with a hostel with problems”
Too many issues for me: shared showers are set up so that every shower floods the shower room. Please fix this! Some people clean up after themselves and some people don’t... I spent lots of time cleaning up other people’s messes. One day I got sick of this and complained to desk staff, who took care of the mess but removed the floor squeegee, so that every shower for the next 24 hours made a big mess. #2: the door locks can lock you out, leaving you running to reception in your pajamas. Please fix this! #3: Sorry, the elevator is not safe and should be replaced. We had problems with it numerous times. Location was good, staff was nice, but there are many, many hotel options in Berlin at all price ranges.
Good location. Near train stations. All within walking distance.”
Good location, clean room. Eateries nearby available. Bad: no lift and didn’t replenish room amenities ie bath gel. Must request for replenishment. Don’t understand logic, shouldn’t they do it proactively...
Übernachtung in Berlin”
ein gutes Hotel in guter Nahverkehrsgünstiger Lage
Good location & clean but noisy”
Good location but noises can be heard due the train goes near to building around every 5 minutes.
Near to train station”
We have booked this hotel due to its location that is near to the main train station. The staff is nice and gave us some info on Berlin. There is only one bus stop nearby whereby the bus waiting time is quite long. The place has many photo frames at the corridor, the bad point is that the room do not have a toilet and using a shared toilet instead. Since it is summer time, the hotel are not equipped with air-conditioning and it is very hot during the night. Since it is near the train station, every train passes by you will hear the loud noise and the vibration.
Clean and nice ”
Staying only one night in double room with share bathroom. The room and bathroom is clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. But the room is very large than I expected The only problem is the train is very close to our room and you will hear the train pass by very 5 mind and it’s very noisy. Because of summer we must open the window if not is too heat.
Good for short stay”
We stayed for one day and in general we were satisfied. The stuff was very kind and helpful and gave us all the needed information. I confirmed other clients reviews about trains noise which was unbearable. We had to sleep with closed windows and no air-condition at high temperature. We used a fan and we had a quiet sleep, except the problem with heat. The hotel is in great location, many things to see in a walking distance. The bus stop to/from Tegel airport is exactly in front of the hotels door and there also 2 train stops very close. Good choice for short stay.
Fantastic All Around”
Beautiful clean hotel that is centrally located. Reception was super friendly, spoke great English and was great directing us about town. Our room was a Cold War era themed spy room with a hidden passage. Shared WCs were very clean and the ran shower was amazing. You cannot beat the value and cleanliness of this place. Also very quick walk from the train station.
Unique, outstanding and impressive”
The front-desk staff were professional and efficient. We were early at the hotel but they had large secure lockers for our luggage, leaving us free to explore the city for the remainder of the day. The hotel foyer was large and inviting with interesting items displayed on the walls. Our room was big and beautifully decorated with a number of pieces of art. The beds were comfortable and the pillows nice and firm. A continental breakfast was on offer in the restaurant next door. It was nice and fresh and the coffee the best I have had in a long time. This hotel lives up to its name, and the best of three that I have stayed in on my trip through Europe. I most certainly know where I will be staying if I ever have the opportunity to visit Berlin in future. The only downside to my visit was that I stupidly forgot my favorite jacket in the hotel and did not have the time to return to fetch it.
Lovely clean hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Very close to U-bahn and S-ban stations. ”
Rooms were individually decorated. Nice selection of drinks at reception. Unfortunately no red wine though. Also no tea or coffee in room, but this could be purchased at reception for a few Euro. I would have thought tea or coffee should have been free of charge.
Worth a look”
Very cheap, helpfull staff, interesting decor, very central[300M from Riecnstag] all in all an interesting stay. Only problem very near train lines so, in spite of double glazing, not one for light sleepers. Didn't really bother me though
Great location but...”
Great location 10 minutes walk to Reichstag, same to Freiderickstrasse station. First room ? 300 directly over main railway very noisy. Moved to 210 much quieter but no air con uncomfortably hot at night in the heatwave that was going on. Didn't realise when we booked but there are higher category rooms overlooking an inner courtyard that I guess would be more comfortable. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Very polite and helpful staff, always available at the reception. Excellent location, 5-10 minutes walking distance to major Berlin landmarks. Unusual and fun decor. I booked single room with shared bathroom on the floor. The size and furniture of my room was pretty simple, but completely sufficient for a short stay. The art interior of the Blue room is somewhat soothing. Comfortable bed, nice linen. I was bit concerned for the shared bathroom conditions, but they are practically adapted for enough privacy, very clean as well. Hotel is surprisingly quiet despite nearby railway. I recommend Arte Luise Kunsthotel for short term visits of Berlin and guests who don't expect all possible amenities available. I'd definitely would stay there again.
Friendly hotel great location”
The staff is very friendly and helpful with places to go and nearby restaurants, as well as helping check-in early and ordering a taxi for the airport. Location is walkable from main train station and to brandenburg gate and pergamon museum.
