Swimming pool, good location. Friendly staff
E-bike nearby 8000 full day. Close to all the pagoda. Staff allow me to take shower at 18:30 even I checked out in the morning. Therefore, I can sit on the JJ express bus comfortably. Thanks.

Good experience with Arthawka
The staff allowed us to check-in 6 hours before check-in time when we arrived early in the morning - and total free of cost. All staffs are super friendly and helpful that made us feel comfortable. Room is big, clean, surrounding view is nice and peaceful. The location is good also, very close to Damayangi pagoda. This is amazing because after earthquake, they dont allow tourists to climb up in most of temples; but next to Damayangi, there is a new pagoda, where u can climb up and get overview of Bagan beautifully. It is a comfortable compensation to us. Other stupa and temples can be accessed by electronic bikes, so good to enjoy green view everywhere. Some small (-): - The air-con in our room is not working well, not cold but ok for us. - Breakfast: not many options but i think it is popular for most of hotels in Myanmar. Definitely recommend a stay here!

Excellent service
Great service, very kind and helpful staff. Good a/c. Sometimes the wifi was a bit difficult to use but still above average for Myanmar!

Nice hotel
Nice swimming pool, open until late. Very nice and helpful staff. Unfortunately, the bedrooms smell really bad (musty smell because of the humidity and lack of aeration)

Excellent hotel with great staff
The Arawathra Hotel is located in New Bagan in a fairly quiet area. When we arrived we were greeted with a cold drink and some local sweets. The entrance foyer is large and looks quite impressive. The rooms are well-maintained with a large bed, flat screen TV with English channels, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, safe, and a large clean bathroom. The bed is rather firm but this is typical of most hotels in the region. I was so tired after walking around all day, that I slept very well regardless. The pool is located between the two main wings of the hotel. It is clean, salt water, and warm. It is certainly fantastic to be able to jump into the pool after an exhausting day. The staff at reception, apart from being very efficient, are able to organise everything to make your stay easy. The restaurant does reasonable food, and there are several restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk of the hotel (down the slight hill to the left of the hotel). The staff deserve a special mention. The waiters in the dining room are all quite young, and it appeared that some at least were being trained. All the staff tried their best, and were all very friendly and attentive. Top marks to the restaurant manager for his ongoing training. The front desk staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for these people, who very efficiently organise everything for you. We hired a driver with an air con car and an English speaking guide. It was all done within minutes of arriving. The prices are extremely fair--K35000 for the car for the day or K50000 for a van, and K35000 for a guide. Unless you happen to be an expert in the pagodas and temples of Bagan, having a guide opens up a whole new world, and details that you would easily miss. The young woman at reception was particularly helpful. A big thank you to her. This hotel deserves the positive comments it has received from other reviewers.

a pleasant stay
The arthawka hotel is really nice. After a hot day, it is a real pleasure to enjoy the swimming pool. The rooms are really big, maybe too big, the breakfast is acceptable and the staff is nice and professional. However, all the bathrooms need renovations and you should go directly in town to book any activity or to rent an ebike as the hotel takes a huge commission.

Nothing I can fault
My friend and I planned on staying here for 2 nights at the end of our stay in Bagan to relax by the pool but ended up staying 3 because we really loved it! There's nothing I can fault about the hotel and it's near to lots of food places and you can rent E-Bikes just outside for 8000kyat a day. They even rang our hotel in Kalaw as we were getting the night bus so they organised for someone to pick us up from the bus station at 2am and take us to the hotel where we could check in early for a few of 5000kyat each. Would definitely recommend staying here :)
