Funky decor and a party all night long!”

          Very cool decor

The Artisan is a lovely little Travelodge-turned-boutique-hotel located right off of West Sahara Avenue. Though you can definitely tell it used to be a budget inn, they've redone the place quite nicely. You drive up to the front door through black-and-white striped awnings that look an awful lot like the Rumor boutique hotel -- surprise, surprise, the two hotels have the same owner. The parking around the hotel is for valet only, and there's a not-so-attractive dirt lot across the street that serves as a self-park lot. Luckily the valets are rather accommodating, and allow you to leave your car in front of the hotel while you unpack. The hotel is extremely quiet and empty during the day. From about 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., there are barely any guests -- you'd think you were the only ones staying there. The lobby is dark -- very, very dark...perhaps too dark -- and filled with old-world decor, a large fountain, and pictures and mirrors adorning every inch of wall and ceiling space. This may be the newness of the hotel, but the staff is very accommodating. The elevator requires a room key to get to your floor, probably because the hotel turns into a mini-club at night. The rooms are decently large, each themed with an artist, and funkily decorated with mirrors and pictures on the walls and ceiling. The bathroom is all black, and though the sink is a pedestal sink with no counter space, the owners have put in a shelf or two where you can place your toiletries. The shower is pretty budget-hotel-style, but they've replaced the head with a rain-shower head, and water pressure is rather good. Hot water is also excellent (not that you need it in the desert), and is almost too hot. Now, for the whole "turning into a club at night" aspect. If you're a light sleeper and you like to sleep at night, this is probably not the hotel for you. The downstairs becomes a club at night, and you can feel the bass all the way up to the top floor.

Fun nightlife/pool, cool art and design everywhere”

          Nightclub, night pool party, artwork

We LOVED this hotel. This is a real gem off the strip. The hotel itself is awesome--artwork everywhere and nice, unique comfortable rooms. It's off the Strip, but it wasn't a big deal since the valet was able to get us a cab so quickly. After we got back from hanging out on the Strip, we went to the late topless optional night pool party and danced for hours. Then, we went to the bar/club until the sun came up. This hotel is a GREAT bang for your buck if you are looking for a really fun place to party. The staff was very nice, too, and check-in and check-out were a breeze.

Fantastic! love this place!-Cant fault it”

liked the rooms, very clean, and the art was interesting!, liked the bar and the parties!

we enjoyed the hotel atmosphere and charecter, art everywhere and i nice feel to it, very unuasl style but great!, friendly staff, pool was great and the cobanas, would defiently stay here again! had food around the pool which was great (nachos)portions as anywhere in america were huge. friday night and sat night are party nights and its good you get free entry to the bar area as we were guests of the hotel! the only downside its the location, but if you have a car you are fine, but its valet only!, we did get a great deal on this so we didnt mind having to valet park!

Surreal ...like going back in time”

The Staff, The Artistic theme, Nice rooms

Our stay was pleasant. The place takes you back in time. The decor were surreal and artistic. Very nice pool. There were hard hitting parties going on on Friday and Saturday. We did not hear anything. We were on the 5th Floor. I must say this is a hotel we will come back to and recommend to our friends if one have own transport. * It is not on the Strip like The Flamingo or Like Planet Hollywood. I thought it was on the *Strip. We spend about US$60.00 every day going back and forth from Hotel to the strip 4 x. The Artisan Hotel 1501 W. Good Value! But careful with the weekend Noise”

Location is good, Staff is helpful. Value for money

I stay there for 4 night. The 3 weekdays stay was great! Praises and compliments. Value for money.... But my last night on that Fri night is terrible. The staff mentioned to me that Artisan hotel have party night at the level 1 bar every Fri and Sat. I thought it was ok as I stayed at level 4. But ..... Party music and noise end till 6am. non-stop and throughout. I cannot sleep no matter how hard I tried as the noise was unimaginable. Party goers noise all the way till the music stop at 6am. Some of them came back to room Drunk and shout at hotel room corridor. some Drunk and shout at hotel carpark. Best of all, Party motorbikers rammmm noise when leaving the hotel carpark. Noise Noise Noise So if you are not party goers.... YOU MUST avoid weekend.

It's time to feel young again..”

Very intriguing hotel concept... with excellent service -- unique erotic art -- fun bar scene

This is a fun, imaginative place... an experience vs just a hotel stay. Definitely geared to young, hip adults, who enjoy to connect, drink and party. However, we still felt comfortable, although we are in our 50s. There were certainly other older adults. And we were on the fifth floor, and so it was quiet, once we hit our room, while the partying went on downstairs. We had one lunch there and the food was very good. They have a great mixologist, and as it wasn't crowded during the lunch hour, he let me sample some of his experiments. This place puts you in the mood..... and you feel young again. Probably not for families or pretty conservative folks.

          Awesome Hidden Gem”

Love the way this hotel is tucked away from the strip gives you a sense of privacy. The hotel is very cool with a lounge speakeasy type of feel and lots to see. The staff was friendly and so were the people staying there. The rooms do need some updating but other comfy.

Close to the strip, this funky hotel is an easy and affordable option for a quick stop in Vegas. The staff is very friendly, the room decent size and the overall ambiance was fine.

Lots of charm throughout the hotel and excellent bar and restaurant on-site...pool is awesome also. Would recommend for non-gamblers (no tables or slots) or couples that want something nifty, but different in Vegas.

          Awesome Place”

Decor was great, staff was friendly. Loved this hotel. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars all the way across was due to the tub and sink not draining much at all. Stayed for 4 days and had to rinse the tub after every shower because it would fill up with water when taking a shower, i wouldn't even think of taking a bath in it. Sink was the same, did not drain well at all.

          A fun Place”

The decorations, The Lobby, The Rooms

This hotel is just great for an unusual experience. I can see The Adams Family feeling right at home. Someone took a lot of time and effort to get the unusual feel of this hotel. It clearly followed someones taste. They could shoot a horror movie here and not have to change a thing. Take the say at this hotel as a off the beaten taste hotel and totally enjoy it. The hallways are lined with pictures on every inch of the wall and all it was missing was the twins standing at the end of the hallway just like in The Shinning. Go for the experience. Great place.

Hotel not inside or affiliated with a casino! Very comfortable beds!

Hotel was great and since I stayed during the week it was very quite and great for business. Rooms were unique and very comfortable. Some issues. 1) no breakfast available at the hotel 2) there is only one restaurant and it is on the higher price scale 3)I was not told about the resort fee and other fees until I checked in

          Additional charges”

          6min from the strip,unique interior

It was frustrating that we were not told they had additional charges that was not included when we booked. We picked the hotel for the price. If we knew that it would be $15 dollars more per night,we could have chosen to stay somewhere better and closer. Receptionist said that it is not their responsibility but agoda takes control of it. If you want to be walking distance from the strip, this is not the spot. There is uber or lyft that's easy to get hold of though. Other than that, some reviews say that it is noisy at night, didnt bother us. They have parties fri-mon 12mn-7am. If you are the type of person who cant sleep through noise,do not stay here. Parking is not a problem, valet guys were always efficient.

very cool experience, not just a stay at a hotel, its an experience of art and lovely decor

big rooms, beautiful decor everywhere in room and threw out entire property. the pool is very nice, but the hotel is a 21+ hotel so you can't bring ur kids :-( and another negetive is that u need a deposit in the room. love the fact that there isn't a casino because i'm a local and casinos get old after awhile.

Party hotel but you can sleep on the top floor!”

Decor, comfortable rooms, all night partying if that's your thing

When we first arrived (12pm) we were told we would have to wait 4 HOURS to check in. The lady at the reception desk seemed pretty uninterested in speeding things up by having our room readied a.s.a.p. We ended up having to sit in the bar drinking (expensive) drinks out of plastic glasses. The carpet was a noticeably different colour under the furniture and smelled of cheese! When we finally checked in there was a problem with the safe in our room... By this time we were about ready to find a new hotel, but once the safe was fixed we could relax a bit and the room was nice. The decor is perhaps the most interesting thing about this hotel - and it's interesting! At the weekends there is an all night party until 8am. If you were on the lower floors it could be a real pain but up on the top floor it wasn't a problem for us. No coffee making facility and no fridge in the room. If you want breakfast you have to get out of there so not so relaxing. Without a car you're looking at a 25 min walk to the strip though there are a couple of decent breakfast places in walking distance as long as you get out before it gets too hot. With a car the location is great - about halfway between the new strip and the old downtown.

          Different”

The staff was nice and attentive

We were surprised that this was an all exclusive adult hotel. When we asked what that meant we were told that swinger parties were book at this hotel and that the bar/ music stayed booming until 8 am. We did not have a bad experience due to us staying during the week. However, it should say somewhere that this hotel is only for adults 21 and over.

Located far from Las Vegas Blv where most of the actitives are. Unless one drives, it will not be a good place to stay. The rooms are however nice andservices friendly. If one is looking for a quiet place in Vegas, it is a good hotel for a stay.

          Good Service

We were shock by the numbers of art in the hotel lobby and hall way and in the room. We do like are but some looks very scary and weird. Everywhere you see mirrors and painting staring at you even in your bedroom. We can't enjoy our stay at this hotel. Especially Friday nite. The music from the Lobby area was so loud and you can here drunks scream outside the hotel. The lobby is always spooky and dark. Beds were comfortable and clean. Location is not a walking distance to strip. You need to take a taxi for about USD15 per way to the strip. From the strip. You can take the DUECE or the bus for USD 7 for 24hrs valid ticket. Take you from North to South of the Strip and Downtown.
