Gem in the city”
Pros: This hotel is directly opposite the Amsterdam Central Station, across the river. It can easily be missed because of its small signboard. The ground floor is very noisy at night as it turns the cafe into bar, but in the room, even at first floor, is extremely quiet and sound proof. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the meals are great. The design and overall experience of the hotel is fantastic, and the location is just very strategic! The bed is super comfortable, one of the best I have ever tried sleeping on. Cons: The toilet in the room is a weird one, though very artistic. The shower water pressure isn't great, and there is no shower cubicle barrier therefore the water will splash everywhere after a bath. You need to be careful with your credit card charges, as even I have paid fully through Agoda, the hotel still charged me daily (luckily I received SMS from my credit card company), apparently the hotel staff said Agoda has not paid them, therefore the hotel will charge me automatically! But the staff are so helpful to revert back your charges, just that you need to check and be alert! The worst of all in this hotel, is actually the make up of room. Everyday even after 3pm (left room at 9am), the room is still not tidied up, and need reminders at the counter (even if you have put a "please make up room" sign at the door handle). And even after making up room, there is no drinking water replenishment, and those cups that you have used over night, are not cleaned up at all!! But overall, I am still very glad I have chose this hotel, and would definitely come back to stay in this hotel again when I visit Amsterdam.

Great location with fantastic facilities”
The hotel just opposite to the central train station and with amazing gym(they have so many equipment that yo can really workout), indoor pool and sauna. The hotel also has interesting decoration and amazing gallery with different exhibition. The bedroom is large, tidy and modern lighting but the sound-proof may not works very well since the window is facing the street with noise. Still it is a very nice experience staying in artotel Amsterdam.

The artotel is very close to Central Station, nearby almost everything that Amsterdam has to offer. It is very modern and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Friendly staff and large lobby help to make this hotel highly recommended.

Fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful. The room was great and the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel was very clean. We liked the unique style of the hotel. The location near the station was perfect to explore the rest of Amsterdam on foot or tram. The food was spot on! Top quality and more importantly....different!”
We really enjoyed our stay at the art o'tel, we were in Amsterdam for 3 nights doing the usual tourist things. It was my fourth visit to the city and this hotel definitely made it one of my favourite visits! All the random artwork dotted around the hotel and the 5 star quisine really made it a different experience to staying in other hotels in Amsterdam.

Perfect for day-trips to other cities”
Facing the Amsterdam Centraal station, this hotel is perfectly located so that you can easily get to your IC or Thalys trains to other cities for day trips. It also has a fab bar. Only real downside is that the gym, while large, is amateurishly furnished. Staff were helpful, although we had a day when Housekeeping failed to make up the room, which was quickly resolved once raised. Would stay again.

Comfortable from a great location”
Good, comfortable as always hence returning here again for my trip to Amsterdam. Still not all the rooms have a working link between there VGA wall mount to the TV for your laptop connection which is important when making video conference calls. Great city location, a stone throw away from Central Station. Check in can get busy and queues can get long but the staff do there best to be attentive and attend to the next guest as soon as they can.

loved the room which was spacious, great bathroom, great location, staff was helpful, loved the breakfast. the only think i thought was odd was that there was no lobby area, you just kinda had nowhere to hang out waiting for your friends. Beside that it was all good, will definitely stay here again if we're going to amsterdam!

My husband and I traveled to Amsterdam for the first time. The staff was extremely helpful and the locations is perfect! Super close to the train station, sightseeing, shopping, redlight, etc. We will only stay here in future trips. The rooms were spacious and clean.

This hotel is located at very good location, just opposite the Amsterdam Central train station with few minute walk. it is also with walking distance to some of the interesting place like Dam and Red light district. Room is nice and staff is very helpful, they help me to check for the airline checking in issue due to the airline i booked was operated by another partner, and they also help me to book for the movie ticket for theatre tuschinski

Great spot to stay in Amsterdam”
Hotel is just opposite the central station with access to trains and trams... You're not only close to central Amsterdam, you are also near public transport which takes you to major tourist spots around the city and country. The hotel staff are a joy to talk to, and they are very knowledgeable about the city (and surroundings) and things to do. Note that although in the hotel description in Agoda says they have a laundromat, they actually don't... but there are public laundromat nearby you can walk to (less than 5 min).

Our stay was amazing.. the staff very exceptionally friendly.. We arrived early in the morning and the room was not ready yet. We were treated with pastries and a choice of tea/coffee in the lobby area (free of charge!) .. Location absolutely perfect, breakfast is basic yet delicious and so fresh. Room is so creatively designed and the lighting in the bathroom and room were absolutely stunning and romantic. We are craving the hotel and would definitely go back. Thank you Art'otel for making our stay absolutely memorable and perfect in every way!

A Near Perfect Hotel”
Great location and friendly staff, and nearly everything about this hotel is perfect. That being said, the in-room lighting can be more attentive. When it is turned off, there is absolutely NO light in the room, making it hard to navigate the room in the middle of the night. There was NO bottled water nor paper cups in the gym room for 2 days in a row either. When told to the staff they sounded surprised. My guess is hardly anyone check on the gym room?

Art'otel”
We loved our stay at Art'otel. The hotel has amazing artworks and sculptures all around. The location is fantastic right in front of the train station and not too far from everywhere else. The check-in and check-out process is smooth. The breakfast is a miss (not great + when you order eggs, you receive what they want to feed you instead of what you ordered) but we didn't try any other F&B at the hotel. There seemed to be some problem with the charges, I was charged daily by the hotel on my card even though the room was prepaid and they had a block on my credit card already for extras (we weren't using room service, minibar or any other extras). When we asked they fixed the issue but it occurred twice since. Small issues aside, the hotel was great, the concierge and the ladies at check-in were lovely and the location was perfect.

City centre hotel with sparkle”
Good class hotel with art style. Good rooms with comfy beds, though had reservations about the lighting. Excellent breakfast with particularly good waiter service. Very central location near Central Station. Some nights there is loud music in the ground floor area, so ask for a higher floor on check-in if this would bother you..

Good hotel, bland food.”
The hotel is centrally located near the train station which is good but also means the area is crowded and chaotic at times. The "art" aspect was fun. The rooms were very nice as were the beds and sheets. The restaurant provided an ample breakfast and we did dine there in the evening once: We found it to be more "concept" and presentation than actually tasty. The small plates concept at dinner could run up a BIG bill if you are not careful and the food, though presented well, didn't taste like much.
