Best price for best view!”
Specifically book this hotel for Wat Arun view and it doesn't disappoint me. Arun Residence is located right in front of Wat Arun so you have the perfect view of the beautiful Temple of Dawn. The suite is very big, beautiful and comfortable. You will have private veranda/viewing balcony of your own. There's tv, cushion, vanity table, shower and even working table. And it located in comfortable in the historic area of Phra Nakhon where Wat Pho, The Grand Palace and of course next to Chao Phraya. The staff is very friendly and will answer your every questions. Totally recommended here👍

Great little place”
Our family enjoyed our stay at Arun Residence, A charming guesthouse, with great view of Wat Arun. Also had a good dinner at the restaurant. Decent food to reasonable prices, also had a wine list with decent priced wines, which is not always easy to find at other restaurants in good locations. The waiters in the restaurant, Kh Chang and his colleagues took very good care of our family, and combined with the perfect, unblocked view, we had an amazing evening there. As we live in Bangkok, then we will definitely be back at Arun Residence.

Nice view and good breakfast. The vibe and furnishing are chill and location just across from the Wat Arun temple. The room was clean and comfortable.

A sanctuary with a spectacular view, but limited services.”
I'm pretty sure this is the only room available in the complex, which is mostly a restaurant. The food is pretty good, and of course you're paying for the location. The suite is quite nice, with a large bathroom. The view and balcony is one of the best in the world. This is somewhere I'd stay once or twice for that purpose, and don't forget Wat Pho and Wat Phra Keow are at the end of the Soi. The staff are more focussed on the restaurant and this belongs to a group of three hotels/restaurants in the area. You can specify breakfast, but that requires a quick walk two blocks to another location where the options are very limited. In effect, you're here for the view and location. The food and service and secondary. Also, there's no parking. Tip: There's no lift, and with young children/older people the stair climb can be brutal. Make sure you tip the staff member that carries your luggage up and down.

Noisy at night”
There was a bar near the room we were staying. When the party went on we could hear whatever sound the DJ was put on.

Fantastic view but quite far”
We booked the Arun Suite and it had a fantastic view of Wat Arun perfect for sunrise and evening views. Some negative things about my stay: - bathrobe wasn't clean, I was the only one who used it my other companions did not. I got some itchy bedbug-like bites - phone was broken they told us they'd replace it but we checked out and didn't even get a replacement at all - front desk wasn't super friendly it's like he was hassled whenever we asked for small favors like getting our deliveries kept in the reception area - no bidet - the bathroom was clean however there was sort of a canal smell coming from the whole in the shower

Don’t expect much”
Nice place but very overpriced for what you get. No proper window (only through the staircase), lots of insects and bad cocktails. The view is splendid from the restaurant and people are nice.

Absolutely Wonderful”
This was our first time to Bangkok and ended up finding Arun Residence in the Lonley Planet book. First, the location was great. Bangkok's crazy it was nice to not be right in the heart of the city. I loved walking out of the hotel and being close to temples and cafes. Some people commented that it's a neccessity to be close to the metro but short taxi rides got us around quite easy. The highlight of the hotel was staying in the Arun Suite. There's a balcony that literally sits over the river and stairs directly at Wat Arun. A view that will stick with me. The hotel is not super glamorous but comfortable and clean.

Great start on our vacation!”
I want to say that our stay at Arun was a realy great experience! We had book a nice room but when we arrived the staff said that we could be upgraded to their new built stand alone apartment over the river! :) Damn, that was a suprise! Just wonderful and the room/apartment was so amazing! I just want to say to the staff of Arun Residence: Big Thanx! You guys made our first days in Thailand the best possible! I gonna tell all my friends that are travelling to Bangkok to visit your place and I hope we see each other next time we come! The restaurant and the food was also over the top! We ended the second night at your bar on the top and the view over Wat run and the river did a great job to give us a truly nice evening! Thanx again! See you next time! Big hug from Jocke and Tess from Sweden!

Utterly fantastic small hotel”
Our stay at Arun Residence was fantastic. The 2 level room was aesthetically delightful, well designed and charming. The restaurant over looking the river is fantastic and the bar on the upper level commands panoramic view of Bangkok and especially Wat Arun-great at night or in the early morning. Within easy walking distance of the Grand Palace and Wat Pho , this bed and breakfast hotel is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

quick 48 hour trip!”
Arun Residence staff was amazing. We got stuck in traffic coming back for an already late check out and they were incredibly kind and understanding. Always great about keeping our key at the front desk too when we were out and about and helped direct us to a local floating market which was one of the best parts of our trip. Awesome view from our balcony and overall, a great location for my first (and very quick) trip to Bangkok. My only negative review is for the wifi. The connection was nearly nonexistent and made some travel booking/working remotely a bit difficult. Luckily, there's a cute coffee shop nearby and their wifi (and espresso) was a fortunate find. In fairness, we did not ask about it, which just goes to show it was not a big issue overall. Thanks again, Arun Residence!

Wonderful”
The Arun Residence is a Bangkok delight. Close to several major tourist site on the riverfront over looking Wat Arun. The interiors are a teak masterpiece & the hotel feels like a large home not a hotel. The staff are all lovely. The restaurant, which also overlooks Wat Arun, is superb.

Great place to stay close to the royal palace and Wat Pho”
Arun Residence is a charming small hotel directly across the street from Wat Pho. The staff is very courteous and helpful, the food in the restaurant is very good but a little on the expensive side for Thai food, and the view of Wat Arun across the river would be great except that it was covered with scaffolding when we were there. A tall person or someone with mobility issues would have difficulty with the steps or the low ceiling in the loft where our bed was.

Lovely hotel in an interesting part of town”
This hotel is good for someone who want to spend time in the older part of Bangkok, around some of the tourist sites. Its an old, renovated building, nicely furnished and full of character. The neighbourhood is interesting and its good to walk around in. The Royal Palace and other monuments and temples are close by. There are some good local restaurants in the vicinity. Its on the bank of the river, overlooking Wat Arun, which is a big plus. It doesn't have much facilities (no pool, gym, garden, etc), its far from the major transport links and shopping areas and taxi drivers will not easily find it. The only readily available public transport is the river boats.
