Nice clean room, easy check-in and check out, no hidden charges, friendly staff. Has cable channels which was good because I could watch the French open finals! Would stay there again. ps. Lol at the dated ipod player/clock #cute!

Good value hotel”
Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, we were happy with the room and the service provided by their staff. The reception staff was very polite during our check in and because we arrived before 2pm she didn't try to turn us away and checked us in. We had a room on the top floor overlooking sky tower and CBD. We could see fireworks on one of the nights we were there. Breakfast was adequate, a staff was there to make sure everything topped up full. In one morning we got there at 09:45 (cut off time is 10:00), they were happy to provide us with all we need and made sure we had enough food without rushing us before they packed up. We would be happy to come to stay at this hotel again in the future.

We flew in from Australia after a very delayed flight only to have problems with another hotel who were very rude, and didn't want to help us at all! At 3.40am having nowhere to go, we were grateful that the conceirge at Ascotia was able to offer us the lobby to wait in until morning staff arrived. Thank you so much, you dont know how much we appreciated being treated so kindly especially since our minds were on getting to our brother at Auckland Hospital ICU. A note to other hotels who have visitors arriving at unusual times... be kind you don't know what people are going through, so treat people with respect.

Great hotel. Affordable room. The room is clean and quiet. Free and fast wifi. The location is near Queen Street and accessible to the bus stop. All front desks are very friendly, helpful approachable. Great service especially from Ethel and Rochelle!!!

Convenient for K-Road, great value”
Had a quick 1-day stop in Auckland and picked this as it was one of the least expensive options. Glad to find that it was clean and comfortable and met all my needs, including a lovely view of the Sky Tower, even on level 2. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful at all hours of the day and were available for check in/out at 3AM. Location is very close to K-Road with lots of food options and convenience stores nearby. I am a keen walker - from the hotel to the northernmost end of Queen St took me about 25 minutes and Wynyard Quarter about 40. A pleasant walk through the city of Auckland. Amenities supplier include body wash, shampoo/conditioner and body lotion. Tea and coffee making facilities provided, as well as a fridge with small tubs of fresh milk. Linen was clean and bed was comfortable. Heating was very efficient and windows could be opened for fresh air. The hallway was a little dark at night but didn't feel unsafe.

Terrific Value”
My partner & stayed for 5 nights. We chose this Hotel for its proximity to City and the very reasonable price. Our room, though smallish, was spotlessly clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There can be a little noise during the night from Queen St, though we contributed to that by having the windows open rather than using the Aircon. Ascotia is also very handy to transport options (2 minutes or less to City Bus) and similar to Sky Bus stop for Airport transfer. Would definitely stay again assuming a similar deal was available.

A Pleasant Stay”
Our room was large and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is handy to the city centre, but up quite a steep hill. Plenty of dining options nearby. The continental breakfast was adequate.

Great hotel! Lovely staff, and simple but tidy, well-presented rooms. It's a shame that visitors can no longer access the gym/sauna as some renovation work is being done, but the room is always very tidy and I enjoyed my stay.

Loved it! Location couldn’t be better. Meyers Park. KRD. Ah Saak. Good views. Warm. Comfortable matresses. Kind & gentle staff. 24 hour check in. The buffet breakfast next door was calming environmenr & handy - to be ready for the day.
