Fabulous!”
I think this is the most lovely hotel in the Sorachi region! The facilities are newly renovated as of 2020 and there are many places for guests to relax, hideaway in cubbies, play board ggames, read manga on soft fake grass and enjoy complimentary coffee. The breakfast buffet was delicious and showcased Ashibetu's specialty of cherry jams. I live very close to Ashibetsu so I often come to use the fabulous onsen. Ther are 7 differnt baths, a wet and dry sauna, and complimentary face masks to put on while you bathe. I high recommend staying at the starlight! It very classy!

Good room space, Good onsen, Good breakfast. Good free parking. Location is good if you just want to get peace stay. Convenient store is about 10 mins drive away. Price may be a little high during my stay.

A special traditional Japanese experience”
This hotel is situated off the beaten track, but still only 30 minutes from Kamui and Furano ski fields. The individualized service from hotel staff was awesome. The onsen (indoor/outdoor) was excellent. We'd love to come back and see the stars.

A popular onsen hotel with locals”
We stayed here for 3nights which might be uncharacteristic for many domestic and international travellers. But we arranged it this way because we were using it as a base to explore the region including Furano and Biei. Location, as with all other options in this region is not accessible unless you drive which we did. The standard room is really small for two, so you should consider the bigger options for more comfort. Food and onsen are fantastic here.

Quiet hotel, nice service. Beautiful hotspring, bountiful breakfast. A bit out of the way but still makes a convenient base to explore Durango and Biei, which is about 40 minutes away by car.

Helpless staff ”
After check in late in the evening .We very up set that one of our rooms had hundreds of insect on the ceiling .After inform the reception , he just gave us insecticide to spray . No room to change he said ,it’s fully booked . and ask us to help ourselves or waited for 30 minutes he will sent someone to clean up .We waited until midnight but nobody shown . So we clean up by ourself all those insect that fall down. all over the room after spraying on them . We’ er very disappointed . It’s not worth the price we pay .

A hotel with good management”
The room was big and clean. We were very pleased that one of our rooms was upgraded. The onsen (Japanese hot spa) was nice. The earthquake in the early morning was certainly a great experience for us in this trip. The breakfast was good. The gentleman, Mr Sasaki, who was serving the breakfast, gave us a lot of useful information about the road situation after earthquake. The staff in this hotel were friendly and helpful.

サービス満載”
ウェルカムドリンクの種類が豊富で、お菓子バイキング、パフェなど、宿泊者へのサービスが満載だった。フロントの接客も丁寧で印象は良い。朝食も多くの種類用意されていて、どれも美味かった。味噌汁が若干濃いめだったので、少し薄くても良いと思う。あと本の種類が多くてビックリ。大抵の本は漫画や雑誌が数種類だけだが、ビジネス書などもあり。読書やくつろげる場所が至るところにあり、このようなホテルは他に無いと思う。今回、神奈川から一人旅で利用したが、近隣で同じようなホテルが出来れば是非行ってみたい。癒すには最高の場所ですね。

スーパー銭湯＋宿泊施設設置の様な感じでした・・・”
ビジネスホテルの、ちょっとだけ豪華版？の様な感じでした。 日帰り入浴のお客さんが多い様で、言えばスーパー銭湯＋宿泊施設的な浴場には常連さんぽい人達を数名見かけました。 一部、水栓が不良の様で、シャワーはレバーを倒している間のみ出て、離すと直ぐに止まり使い辛いこと極まり無かったです。 その他、建設現場で働いる様な方々が居て、何となくイメージしていたホテルとはかけ離れていると感じました。 近隣に飲食店は無かったので、夕食もこちらで食べましたが予約が当日の朝でしたので間に合わず、レストランで食べましたが、日帰り入浴の方々と一緒だったので混んでおり、あまり好印象とは言えませんでした。 朝食は、卵料理と御飯が美味しくて、それを考慮した星の点数です。 あと、外履きサンダルはどれを使って（喫煙する時に外に出る際）良いか分かり辛いので、ホテルの備品には全てホテル名を記載して頂かないと、間違えてお客さんの物を使用してしまうかもしれません。 お客さん目線から、対お客さんに言えることは、駐車場内で駐車区画ではない場所へ我が物顔で駐車させるのは、いかがなものでしょうか？社会人としての、ルールとマナーは順守するべきで傍から見ていて見苦しいと思いました。

お客さんのマナーが悪かった”
若いお客さんが増えたのか、マナーが悪い人が多く目についた。サウナマットを水風呂で洗ったりしたり、食事中悪態をついてくる人がいたり。 以前より朝食の質や味が落ちていた気もしました。 ただ宿泊者用のバーが出来てたりはすごく良かったです。気に入っているお宿ですが、今回は残念だったので、次回はそうじゃないことを願います。

素晴らしいホテルでした。 アメニティが５つまでたくさんの中から選べるのもワクワクしますし、ラウンジもたくさん。 漫画も部屋に持っていってよし！ コーヒー、お茶、ジュース様々な飲み物は24時飲めます。 星は天気次第ですが露天風呂の電気を消すという試みも面白い。 泥パックもありますし、塩サウナもある。 １泊だったので今度は家族を連れてゆっくり来ます！

対応が酷すぎる”
クチコミも良さげで小さい子連れでも安心して連れて行けると思い期待して行きましたが、夕食指定時間に行ったにも関わらず、料理が出てきたのは40分後。(後から来た人の方が先に料理が出る) そしてお子様ランチの海老フライは黒焦げ、子供用のスプーンとフォークを頼んでも来ず。テーブルにあったTVのリモコンが無く持ってくると言ったまま来ない。 大人の料理はその後も全然来ず子供がもうじっとしてられないので、申し訳ないがある物でいいので部屋で食べれる様に包んで欲しいと伝えたところ、1分後になぜか料理が運ばれてきてそれはできないと言われました。 その後また待たされ用意してくれる事になったが大きなお盆三段重ねの物を渡され、忙しいから自分で部屋まで持って行ってと言われる始末。 そして今回コースに付いていたアイスは出せないと言われました。 無理を言っているので構わないのですが、あまりにも対応が悪すぎました。 フロントに対応できる人と話がしたいと伝えたにも関わらず、私が聞くと言われたので今回の経緯を伝えたところ最終的にバイトなのでと言われ二度手間。 その後支配人が来ましたがアイスお持ちしますと言われ、私達はそれで怒っていると思っているのでしょうか？笑 話もちゃんと伝わっていないまま謝罪に来た様子で、今回の旅行を楽しみにしていた分とても残念でした。 宿泊者専用ラウンジのお菓子も市販の煎餅にブロックチョコ、皆一斉に取りスタッフも居ないので補充も片付けもされません。 コーヒーも豆が切れて飲めない人も多数、部屋にあるコーヒーメーカーも付属の計量カップが欠損しており目分量でコーヒーを作るしかありませんでした。 お風呂は良かったですし、料理も美味しかったですが本当に残念でした。 二度と行かないと思います。
