an amazing hotel”
price are reasonable with such amazing services. Great views, cozy rooms, clean bathrooms, tasty foods. nothing bad at all. We all love the place. We had a driver so there was no problem for us to get to anywhere near Nuwara Eliya. (for example we went to city area, national park, etc)

Good location, you get what you pay for!”
the ashley resort is exactly what you would expect when purchasing a room for only $ usd. we were hoping for something a little nicer, but in general it felt clean- just a little musty and for some reason on the first day we had a fly problem (this however was not a problem on the other days). the view off of the balcony was incredible! such a great look at the town of nuwara eliya. the hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. we did get really cold on our stay and for only 500 extra rupees a night, they provided us with a space heater. well worth it! the breakfast was good and the hotel owns a tuk-tuk- so it was always easy to get a ride into town.

that was a great experience which i ever had. cleaned and well maintained room with five star levels. very friendly, helpfull staff, who are ready to make ur stay comfortable. simply made but delicious dishes. all these things for very reasonable price and of course nice environment. should not miss ur chance to stay at ashley resort if u r planning to go to nuwaraeliya

Nice hotel, great service, beautiful views”
The hotel has amzing views over the town, lake and surrounding countryside. The meals are well cooked and use fresh local produce. The staff are friendly and helpfull, going out of their way to make our stay one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka holiday. We will certainly return to the Ashley Resort when we vist Sri Lanka again.

Small budget hotel”
We reserved a triple room and a double room through Agoda and stayed at Ashley Resorts for one night. The place needs a lot of improvements. "Ashley Resorts" is more like a budget hotel. We arrived around 8:00 pm and had difficulty locating the place due to poor signage. The staff was very friendly and courteous, but we wished at least one staff member was there to help us to turn the heat on when the temperature went down at night. We called the reception around 1:00 am, but nobody answered. When asked about it in the morning they said that they all went back to their quarters to sleep and that we should have asked their cell phone numbers. Our beds were ok, but the carpets NEED TO BE REPLACED. The sink in the double room had a small leak, but the bathrooms were clean. The string hopper breakfast was nice, but the Tea was a disappointment. We expected excellent Tea since we were in the world famous Tea Country. ( Well, we had the best Tea at Labukalle Tea Factory on our way back) The amazing view from our balconies was the highlight of our stay at Ashley Resorts. Overall we were not disappointed. It is a ok place to have a bed for one night.

Value for money accommodation with a stunning view”
Fantastic value for money accommodation offering stunning views of Nuwara Eliya. Perched right on a hill, it offers a very private setting. Food was rather disappointing though and one of us fell ill after taking their breakfast.

Good view but not much else”
We, I and my my teen-age daughter, booked the hotel because its address read "...City Centre". That turned out to be misleading. The location is at a distance (up, vertically). Once you are there you cannot walk down to the city centre and you become vehicle-dependent. The staff was nice but the services were amateurish and not professional. The place is not centrally heated but they did provide us with extra blankets. The hotel was overpriced. The management is best advised to delete the words 'City Centre' from their address which says: Unique View Road, City Centre, Nuwara Eliya.

Nothing EXCEPT the View!”
I have nothing good to write about this hotel, except that it has a wonderful view of the Nuwara Eliya city from our room. Other than that, the first impression to the last day we stayed, things were just quite terrible. I'd like to begin with a list of things that I found during the first few minutes of check-in to the hotel: 1. Amenities in the bathroom were half used. 2. Lock of the Bathroom door was broken. 3. No railing / place to hang clothes in the wardrobe and even no cloth hangers. 4. Windows also cannot be locked properly. 5. The safety lock on room door broken 6. No room safe 7. Despite, Nuwaraeliya being a cold city and despite heating facility is being listed on their website, no heater was available and they only opted to bring a separate heater for Rs 1000 per night. 8. Bathroom was dirty with damaged dooors, cow webs etc. 9. Bathroom heater also does not work properly. 10. No free water bottles. Upon informing to Reception, some of these issues were fixed, but they refused to change us to a bettr room giving the excuse the hotel was full. We ate from the restaurant one night. Food was not good at all. And they forgot to bring the drinks. We went to the room and asked the drinks to be brought there, but still they forgot. This happens even if you call the Reception and ask for anything. Staff are very unorganised, despite they live in the hotel. Some are polite and helpful, but with no good Manager to lead them, they are just an unorganized bunch. Over and all this was a terrible experience as acommodation at a beautiful city like Nuwara Eliya. Would never recommend this place to anyone else. Plus, if we didn't book via Agoda and paid in advance, would not even stayed here. This is barely 1 Star!!!!

it is a mid range resort hotel located a hilland on five minutes drive to city centre. the rooms are neat & clean and have facility of hot water 24 hours. the hotel rooms are recently renovated the location is amazing and scenic beauty is breath taking.. however, the breakfast & omletter was served chilled

Kind staffs, fabulous view perfect place to relax”
A wonderful place with a breath taking view located up on the Hills. We were here for three nights. We got a very warm welcome from the kind friendly staffs. The room was comfortable with a clean bathroom. We took the breakfast and dinner from the hotel and it was ready on time. We loved the view from the hotel and always loved to walk from hotel to the main road. The room was big and clean. We loved the beautiful view from our belcony and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Hotel, with lovely views & staff. We had two rooms & both the rooms were spacious & welcoming with big comfortable beds, lovely views from the balcony, great bathroom facilities. We had breakfast & dinner here & it was great value for money, the servings were huge! I also put in a huge pile of washing at about 8pm & they had it back to me first thing next morning, washed pressed & folded ready to go back in my suitcase. Would definitely stay here again only wish we could have stayed longer.

Dark inside no view under then main floor”
we have been there for 2 nights we get a room downstairs where is no view but room was nice large and good furniture.inside of the hotel is very dark breakfast service was very slow.Long distance on walk from the center.

Good location”
Hotel was in a good location and staff were friendly. Location was in lose proximity o the village and the clothes market for jackets and winter loathing. Staff wre very knowledgable of the area and tourist resorts. Access to the resort was through a narrow lane with delays caused by tourist buses. Overall the resort was value or money.

24 hrs service with helpful information. They have very big and clean room, which even better than the 4 star hotel I stayed in Kandy. Laying on the soft bed and all the fatigue was gone. The view from balcony was breathtaking.
