          Doorman - best part of Ashu Palace!”

          Stayed here twice for total of 4 nights. Joining Tucan travel tour. No hot water on any night stayed there. Breakfast was terrible. Driver at hotel charged 1500 rupee for day tour, stated "red fort closed" and wouldn't take us there but when arrived at hotel and advised manager found out "too much traffic" so he refused. We asked for a refund and manager basically didn't do anything. So we were really ripped off. Wifi only really worked in reception but was strong. The doorman was lovely - best part of hotel - always smiling, friendly. Close to a few nice restaurants. Wouldn't stay again, photos very deceiving.

          It was open through the night, clean bedding, nice staff

          Hotel was better than expected, first room i was in was very small with no window and the loudest clock in the world. But next day was transfered to room above reception over looking the street, this room was far better. :) Good Hotel for a brief stay, didnt try the food.

          Expensive for backpacker style accomodation”

          Helpful and friendly staff, but this was sometimes too much!
          My room smelt like gas (from the balls in the drains that prevent the smell coming up the drain)

          I think this was along the lines of backpacker accomodation, though for Indian standards I think this must be quite luxurious as there is a 10% luxury tax on your bill! I have stayed in nicer backpackers for half the price!
