We stayed here recently & it was absolutely amazing! Bed & pillows were comfortable, it was incredibly clean, we loved everything about our getaway & how relaxing it was with the sound of the river running out the back, the birds chirping & the quietness! We will be back.

We loved our stay at Ashwood Cottages - the cottage was impeccably clean and so comfortable - you know it's a good place when you're not fussed about going out because where you're staying is so relaxing. Loved having the wood fire and Netflix. The conservatory area was perfect for lazy afternoon reading. We would happily come back on repeat.

Comfy cottage in relaxing setting”

A pleasant and relaxing location, a spacious cottage with adequate facilities and friendly hosts. The spa bath was a delight, together with the wood fire although it would have been nicer to have the room arranged around the fireplace complete with a rug. The kitchen was cramped and cooking facilities below expectations. It was a shame that the relaxed and peaceful stay was hastily ended by a rushed exit. The 10am checkout is way too early and a later, more leisurely checkout would better complete the experience.

Fantastic couple of nights”

Really loved our stay in the studio room. Perfect size for a couple and very nice. Also a great location on the banks of the Ovens Rivers which you can follow for a nice walk into town. Highly recommended!

Retreat amongst the trees. ”

Very cosy place nestled by a creek. Bird feeder outside with complimentary bird seeds. I really enjoyed feeding the birds with my morning coffee. The place was neat as a pin and had everything you could ask for; even the fire was ready to go and the heat was on for my arrival. Can't recommend this place enough.

Personal little retreat”

Lots of little touches made a lovely stay, from little treats to electric blanket, heating & fireplace - warmth options covered. Perfect little kitchenette for a mini break

Ahhhhh the Serenity.”

I could live here!!! As a self catering cottage they thought of all the things that usually are missing in the kitchen in terms of cooking utensils, and they even included cooking oil, slat pepper, tea and coffee.

Relaxed and secluded”

We had a wonderful stay here on our honeymoon. Comfortable king-size bed, relaxing whirlpool spa, a wood fire to keep us warm during the chilly early-spring nights, well appointed kitchen (loved the home-made biscuits!)... The cottages are just a short walk or bike ride from Bright's main attractions in a secluded bushland setting with beautiful gardens, and are close to both the Ovens river (the canyon walk starts nearby, and is well worthwhile) and the rail trail. Had a nice chat with the friendly owners on our arrival, and were glad to take them up on their suggestions for good food and drink in town during our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Relaxing for mind & body”

We absolutely loved staying at these beautiful cottages at the end of April - the fire, the spa, the beautiful trees, birds, rabbits, comfy bed, bushwalking tracks - it was all perfect!! We felt really relaxed within minutes of arriving and left feeling even better. Thanks & we'll definately be back!
