Standard 10% "tipping" fee added to food
Location, reception
Be wary when you eat in the restaurant. They add 10% tax to the bill THEN add 10% "tipping" fee on top of that!!! Yes they advertise coffee & cake for $3 usd, but when you get the bill is $7.20usd... When we queried it the manager told us it is the bill ++ they call it. We asked her to explain and then she told us about the "tipping fee". If I want to tip I will decide who and when to tip, not have someone automatically think they can just add it. Whilst the amount s small to us, it certainly would add up over a year... Plus the air con is so hot in the rooms. You can't control it. We had to roll our bed out to the middle of the room to get any air. There are many many place to stay for better value

No longer a safe town
nearby night life, opposite US embassy, nice sunset view
the room is old but yet comfortable, perhaps its time they need to renovate the hotel. Not sure how is the overall hotel standard in PP but it is definitely not a 4 stars comparing to other countries, i will rate is about 3.5 stars instead. A warm reminder, PP no longer a safe town especially on riverside where most people used to walk on.
