Great location but service lacking
close to National Park entrance
The best thing about the hostel is its location- only 15 minutes walking to the entrance of Jiuzhaigou national park. Near the hostel are many restaurants and supermarkets. I booked a private room for myself, and the room is nice, the twin beds are quite large and the room is spacious with nice furniture and a tv. You have to self cater when it comes to bathing- no free soap or shampoo. I had to ask for a towel. The wireless is only accessible in the lobby, and not in the rooms. The hostel is very busy with guests, so you don't get the best service, but if you speak chinese, it helps getting serivice.

Great staff ;worst of 16hotel/hostels stayed in.
Close to the park
Small, disgusting and over priced. Smell of cigarettes wafted through hostel, rooms were filthy and floor obviously hadn't been cleaned in years. There was nowhere to sit outside the room that had shelter and noise from other people reverberated throughout the night. We also had a lot of difficulty finding the place as the name of the hotel was in tiny letters in English so we had to get the help of Chinese speakers to help us find it.

Good location but no heater
Cheap and clean, close to the park
the hotel is 10 min walking to the park entrance and 20 to the bus station. big rooms, clean and comfortable, but no heater which means that you can't be at the room much time at the evening. for sleeping is ok, they have blankets.

A cold place with minimal service
close to Jiu Zhai Gou gate
the show did not function well. the water volume is ok at low temperature but dropped to less than 1/3 when you turned to hot water. the internet room is extremely small and if you use wi-fi from your own pc, the speed is extremely slow. no public lounge room, you have no opportunities to meet other guests and share travel experiences. a cold place - not only temperatuer cold but also no welcome feeling at all

Don't expect a hostel!
Budget prices, good location
here is what not to expect: a common area for socializing, games, movies, travel info, information about the national park you are going to explore, informative and helpful staff, answers from the girl downstairs in more than 3 words, service with a smile, and a general attitude that you are more important than her cell phone or computer. in other words, don't expect a hostel! you can expect a clean, affordable room in a location that's an easy 10 minute walk to the park entrance and they will pick you up from the bus station. and don't worry, jiuzhaigou is an easy place to get around and figure out on your own, so you don't even have to try to talk to the girl downstairs.

No heater and no housekeeping
Near to the Jiuzhaigou park entrance
the room was worse than expected. there was no heater in the room, only heated bed was provided. we could hardly sleep with the outside temperature of less than 5 degree c. the hostel is undergoing expansion now and the surrounding area was rather dusty and noisy. for the 3 nights that we stayed there, no housekeeping was done.
