A go-to for us
price, comfort, location
The Bishop Lei is usually our 'go-to' hotel on Hong Kong Island because it is one of the most affordable in Soho area. It is comfortable and suits our basic needs. The mid-level escalators are only a 3 minute walk away so many restaurants and shopping is at your finger tips.

Excellent location, clean, friendly, nice room
Location, airport shuttle, clean
The location of this hotel is great, just next to the escalators and Soho area. It would be great for people who want to explore HK in the day and then have drinks, dinner at night before going back to the hotel. The breakfast was ok but too expensive for the variety it provided. Clean and nice view from the rooms looking towards the harbor. The airport shuttle was very helpful too

Practical, convenient, affordable
shuttle service to convention center, proximity to shopping area, quiet surroundings
This hotel is perfect for people attending shows at the convention center and Asia world expo. Centrally located, their shuttle service is a BIG plus because transportation is taken care of for you wether going to a trade show or taking the time to do some shopping. Very convenient location!

Good location in SoHo - close to elevator
low price
The location of this hotel suited us, for some people it would be considered a bit off in the residential area - but It is located very Close to the Elevator and SoHo which is my favorite area in Hongkong. The rooms are extremelly small. Beds very short. we had some problems with the WiFi Connections. The breakfast was not so exhiting, but lots of small nice cafes around the Elevator. Easy to get a taxi at all times - important in Hong Kong!

No water, small room condescending staff
Location, Location, Location (and it is quiet)
Bishop Lei is a small hotel owned by the Roman Catholic Church. It is near mid-level escalators just above SOHO, so easy to get to SOHO at night for dining and entertainment or a very short cab ride ($22 HKD the minimum fare) to party at Lan Lwai Fong. Good location for a couple's get-away to Hong Kong. The staff at the hotel appears to be made up of former Catholic altar boys. Hard to get a smile from them at all, and they are more than a little condescending to guests. Rooms at the hotel are small. Seems a few square feet smaller than normal, even for Hong Kong. The bed is against the wall along one side. There is about 2 feet from the other side to the window, and 2 feet from the foot of the bed to the wall. There is nowhere for luggage, so we put it on a chair outside the bathroom door -- this allowed just enough room to open/close the hotel door and squeeze into the bathroom or get to the bed. Breakfast was expensive at the hotel and we did not eat here. Better to take the escalator down and eat at one of hundreds of restaurants. The hotel provides no complimentary bottled water. This is a real drag -- most hotels in HK offer at least 2 bottles per day for guests, since the tap water is not safe to drink.
