Pros: Cheaper place close to HK airport, near Ngong Pin Lantau Island Buddah place, close to nature and they have shared kitchen where you can cook and outdoor place where you can set fire to grill food. Tables outside are set up to where you can chill while eating. Cons: It's not that clean, we occupy a room since tents are fully occupied and we are the one who managed to put the bed cover and pillow cases. The room smell old and dusty so I need to pray perfume on the room to mask it. Overall it's a nice place for campers, stuff are nice and accomodating.

I chose this place as it was reasonably priced and I was pleasantly surprised that the facilities and cleanliness exceeds my expectations. There is really not much to complain as everything like the aircon and the hot showers worked & there is a bar fridge in the room to keep my drinks cold. Not many TV channels to access (only 2 channels), but I guess you would not be expected to stay in the room the whole day cos there are so many attractions nearby like the Ngong Ping Village and the beautiful clean South Lantau beach which is just across the road! There is also a Chinese restaurant nearby for breakfast and lunch and the food is reasonably priced from HKD40 for a simple meal. There is also 2 small grocery shops nearby if u urgently need anything. Highly recommended to stay for the best value for money!

Were staying here as a couple and during a business trip. Didn't expect to stay around Mui Wo area, but because of the things happened in HK last time, my flight got delayed for a day so I was looking for an affordable lodging to stay for another night. Lucky, my bf found this hotel facing the beach that wasn't too far from the airport (the hotel is at Lantau Island), so we got an extra day to enjoy and relax by the sea :) Staff are very nice and helpful, the room is clean- small but comfy!

Silverview served as a place to keep my things while I enjoyed the beach. It fit my budget and allowed me to enjoy the island without breaking the bank. The wifi is very spotty, but I made a point to just enjoy being on the island rather than stuck in my room. The most amazing thing was the staff. I realized I left my passport in the room just when my ferry was arriving back at Central. I called Silverview and a staff member personally delivered it to me in Central. I'm so thankful and felt very taken care of.

When I arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the owner, and he brought us in, and offered us a drink. He gave us recommendations on places to see and eat, and gave us maps and details on how to best get there. The bedroom had 3 large windows, and stunning views. The rooftop terrace also had amazing views, and nicely appointed furniture. Bring food and drinks, as this place is special. The bedroom was very clean, and newly renovated and nicely docorated. I would stay here again if I were to go back to Lantau Island. In fact, I may go back to Lantau Island to spend more time on that rooftop. Very pleasant, and great value!

amazing stayed,that i had to cancelled our trip to shenchen(hotel paid for)n stay on in hongkong in lantau island for extra,3 nites here in silvermine beach resort,wildlife animals n beach front resort on lazy silvermine bay,no cars no high building no crazy shopping,just quietness,stillness n lots lots of biking around the island,healthy good quality holidays for family or honeymooners,small amazing local wet market just around the corner sell fresh seafood,flowers n good seafood local food with bay view with reasonable price. staff in here speak pefect english,,Abee was great help,and so convenience from here to visit giant budha,or just fishing from the pier..we would come back very soon to visit lantau island

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Tai O Inn By the Sea. The area is serene and peaceful, but still not difficult to reach-- especially from the Hong Kong International Airport. The facilities were small and cozy but ample for any number of guests. Mr. Lam and the other hosts were generous, gracious and accommodating, and the area had ample activities and sights to see. I would highly recommend this place

We loved the Auberge and will definitely be returning on our frequent trips to HK. First - inside the Auberge, it smells amazing. Every single time we came in it smelled like fresh laundry. The hotel has a very peaceful atmosphere. We got upgraded to a suite which was such a nice and welcome surprise after a terrible week of hotels in HK. Couple of things to note: The Auberge is on Lantau island which is a fair distance from Central. We stayed on Lantau island for the duration of our stay but if you are planning on sightseeing or shopping in HK be aware that you will have to take the free shuttle from the hotel or the bus line to go to either D'deck (ferry pier) or to the Tung Chung MTR. From D'deck you will take a ferry to Central - this is $37HK, the ferry typically runs on the half hour. If you are planning on staying on Lantau, D'deck has some really great restaurants and is 5 min by bus from the Auberge. One of the guides from the Auberge activity center took us to the starting point of a great hike - he was extremely friendly and helpful. There seemed to be a lot of activities for families available. We never ate at the restaurant in the Auberge but it smelled delicious when we walked by. Overall it was a fantastic stay and we will definitely be back again.

We booked Kingdom Club so we had a lot of perks and attentive service. The staff were very accommodating and friendly towards the kids. Rooms were spacious and our room overlooked the pier and can see some skyscrapers on the next island. For Muslim travellers, do mention that you require halal food prior to coming so that they can be prepared for halal breakfast. It was so good and they were sensitive to our diet needs. Overall, it was great and will come back again when we visit Disneyland Park.

I booked for the Tai O Heritage Hotel only to discover when I got there, my booking was for a family inn at this place. It is a family home with the top level sub-divided into 3 rooms for rent. Typical of a back packers retreat. Except that this one charges prices comparable to HK’s 5 star hotels. I stayed at the Marriot hotel for the same price (HK$1.1K). There is very little to compliment this place for the price being asked. It overlooks the sea - yes, but for most part of the day, when the tides are out, all one sees are ugly mud flats. The amenities are utterly basic. So again for the price one is paying, there’s no option of international channels in your room, the air-con is old and unable to cool your room properly, the doors are flimsy and unsafe. Please be careful with booking this place.

This Hotel is fabulous and really captures the magic of Disney. Unfortunately when we arrived at the Hotel, they told me I did not have a booking. I showed them my bank statement where Agoda had taken payment, and my email with details of the booking saying confirmed with dates etc. This was not good enough for the Hotel, who asked me to contact Agoda. After over an hour on hold I decided to leave for the park, not knowing if I had somewhere to stay that night, and ruining my day as I was on hold rather than enjoying. When I finally got through to Agoda the customer service was terrible. They sent me a new confirmation number and offered a measly $27 Agoda cash as compensation for their error. This doesn’t even cover the cost of my phone call to them! Not to mention I will never use the Agoda cash as I would never book with them. Be cautious! The Hotel is lovely though and a welcome retreat after a long day at the park.
