Staycation”
The Upper House is perfect place for a mini getaway. We were upgraded from Studio 70 (City View) to Studio 80 (Harbor View). The view captured Hong Kong in an essence: city in a jungle. We loved the room decor, which was cozy and homey. I would have liked a firmer bed but it was still acceptable. Hotel also provided us with firmer pillows upon request. The bath and rain shower were amazing. I still remember relaxing in the bath in the morning whilst rain was pouring outside. Bathroom amenities were not my favorite though. It would be nice to have aromatherapy products to make it more of a spa-like experience. There is a maxi bar with unlimited soft drinks, juice and snacks. Snacks were not particularly exciting: almonds, M&Ms, Milano chocolate biscuits etc. Hotel also provided a complimentary chocolate birthday cake - it was delicious. All in all, I would recommend staying in the Upper House. You can also look at the staycation packages, which has some great offers.

Everything was perfect! Services such as room upgrade, in-room check-in, high quality room service food, and constant room cleaning made our stay happy and comfortable. Especially, the kindness of the Upper House hoteliers was very impressive. I will definitely come back on our next trip to Hong Kong.

Exceptional Stay”
First and foremost the Staff were above exceptional and catered personally to all our needs at all times. Recommendations of restaurants, things to see and do around Hong Kong were alway above expectations. Special mention to Renee, Melina, Kaylee, Ronald and Coley and thanks for making our stay so memorable. The rooms are beautiful and the bathroom amazing. Great view especially from the bar on the top floor. We have travelled to many places around the world and this hotel and staff are at the top of our list. Will definitely stay there again.

Upper House delight”
This is rated the best hotel in Hong Kong and we saw why. Magnificent designer room (we had a harbour view 70) excellent service - sending us detail on good local restaurants before we arrived was wonderful. The hotel is pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The views from the room were superb and nice touches like free mini bar (for everything except wine and spirits) and excellent espresso machine. We did not want to leave.

Just a phenomenal stay. Made a dreary trip to Hong Kong refreshing. The bar is phenomenal, quaint, with excellent drinks. The staff were ever helpful and knowledgeable about fantastic finds in the area. My room was, for me top 2 of all time. Lighting, snacks, the waterfall shower - It was just what you would expect on holiday. The bed was bigger than my California king and waking up to the harbor / HK skyline was magnificent.

So glad to have stayed here, amazing rooms with luxurious bathroom. Spacious with views of skyline. Bar with a view. Staff were great. Centrally located in best part of Hong Kong at pacific place. Stroll to peak tram and Hong Kong park. Only downside is that hotel does not have a pool. For these rates I would prefer a hotel with a pool and spa. Would stay again budget allowing.

Stylish Design, Professional Service, and Great Location”
Upper House is one of the 3 House Brands (the other 2 are Opposite House in Beijing and Temple House in Chengdu) of the Swire Group and Upper house is the best! Pros: Very stylish and modern design. Down to detail care and service from the extremely friendly staff. Very spacious and clean room with gorgeous mountain view and harbor view. Tasteful restaurant offers delicious western food and spectacular view of the Kowloon Peninsular. The hotel was right above the Pacific Place shopping mall with easy access to numerous shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and grocery stores. Shangri-La HK Hotel, JW Marriot HK Hotel and Conrad HK Hotel are all within 5-minute walking distance from the Upper House. Cons: There is no elevator on the ground floor. We had to take the escalator to the 1st floor to take the elevator. We travelled with a baby. The baby must be taken out from the stroller every time we get in and out of the hotel. There is no Chinese restaurant. We found it hard to find supplementary food for our baby in the hotel. Conclusion: A very stylish, high end, luxury boutique hotel that is more suitable for a business travel or a romantic vacation than a family travel with young children. Will come back again but most unlikely with a baby.

Stayed here on the last day of 2018 so we can watch the firework show in the room. Requested a higher floor when I booked the room, however, I was given the lowest floor (38). Don’t know if it’s because there are no higher floor available or it’s because I haven’t stayed at upper house before. Staff didn’t explain. Booked this hotel because I have stayed in Temple House in Chengdu and totally love it. Upper house has a different style, more modern. size of the room is quite big in HongKong. The design makes you feel comfortable. The breakfast tastes good and the view is amazing.

Expensive, but worth it”
This is a great property, and they really know how to treat their guests. I booked this for my wife, and she had a wonderful weekend in Hong Kong with her girlfriends. They felt pampered at the property, and the room was spacious and outfitted with a great complimentary minibar.

Perfect Home Base to explore HK delights”
Upper House was a wonderful ‘home away from home.’ The staff was very helpful in assisting us with all of our requests, whether it be arranging a taxi during peak hours or booking a restaurant. We made full use of the information package consisting of art highlights in the city & details of the Dragaon’s Back hike which Kingston, the staff in charge of us, kindly prepared for us. We also enjoyed the personal touches like leaving cookies & milk in the room on our last night and giving us a box of chocolates on the day of our departure. 😊 Thank you and we hope to back again.

Nice Specialty Hotel but overpriced ”
The hotel was very nice with modern design. Check-in area is a bit small. The rooms are decent size with bathroom the same size as the room which is great for people who enjoy bathrooms. They give you free snacks and drinks which is a nice perk, however wouldn't call it that much of a value since the value of the snacks is almost insignificant compared to the price of the room. The main complaint I would have is the quality of the bed and pillows cannot compare to 5 star hotels even though the price is above some of the other 5 star hotels in Hong Kong.

One of the best in HK”
Overall, it was good. If you place more focus on interior design and staff services quality, Upper House will be the best choice in HK. If you would like enjoy the great view of Victoria Harbour, I still think Four Seasons would be better because it is located just in front of the Harbour. Given Upper House is located in Skyscrapers busy area in Admiralty, Harbour view is relatively limited.

Massage Spa salon needed to hold the title of best hotel in Hong Kong ”
Great hotel, good room, good location, but ....... Why not a massage or spa belongs to Upper House would be perfect. They only have in room massage , not ideal for customer who enjoy massage or facial at the hotel salon. It is odd to ask the customer to walk over to either JW, Conrad, Shangri-La to enjoy Massage at other hotel.

Modern hotel with spacious room. Great service. ”
We had a great stay at The Upper House. Service was amazing. Checking in was efficient. The friendly staff, Louis. Brought us to our room. We had a good chat in the elevator and he even offered to arrange for a car to send us to our dinner venue. The same guy check us out. He was really friendly and efficient. If i must pick on something, i think such beautiful hotel could probably use a bigger check in counter. Other than that, everything was great. We will be back.
