Total Relaxation
After 4 weeks of running around India in a variety of guesthouses - some wonderful and some, ahem, not so wonderful - we arrived in Chennai on our way to The Andaman Islands and walked into Savera with our mouths open. Big,, orderly, nicely decorated lobby with plenty of staff. Very comfortable room with lots of hot water in the shower, which was actually closed in (what luxury!). Excellent food for breakfast and in the South Indian restuarant where we had dinner. Amazing coffee at the coffee shop adjoining the hotel. The service in the hotel was perfect and very pleasant. In the beauty salon, too. The gym is well equipped. Try this place. You won't regret it!

1. Location 2. Service staff are very polite and 3. Can't find the third best thing
For the money they are charging they need to improve 1. The food quality. Same items are repeated every day 2. The dining room where the breakfast is served is full of oil vapour coming of dosa pan 3. Some yet to be refurbished rooms are awful. If stay from levels above 4, you are lucky to get a decent room. Non smoking rroms are scarce 4. The rooms are very bland and not decorated enough.

Generally 4 to 5 star hotel rooms are clean, however this one wasn't.
The chair which was in the room was torn .

Great Restaurants
Restaurants. Bar. Staff.
Great modern rooms. A good selection of restaurants which we really enjoyed. A great bar downstairs with fantastic staff, particularly Mr Kumar and Johnson. There was restaurant/nightclub where there was a rock band playing on Saturday nights.
